Are you implying that Democrats would rather vote Republican than vote for Newsom, or that he’s not their favorite choice as a presidential candidate and aren’t excited about him? Because I see plenty of the latter and none of the former. If you’re trying to draw an equivalency with this Ramaswamy issue, you must be implying the former.
When we get closer to 2028 and we’re gearing up for the next presidential election, we’ll see how much equivalency there is.
You do have a valid point that Democrats get nitpicky over minor, inconsequential concerns with their candidates while Republicans overlook major problems with their own. But you have to remember that there is a massive difference in quality between the patties; if you’re voting Republican you don’t have great choices to begin with.
