NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 4)

If Charlie Kirk live in Biblical times, he’d be a Roman, er, what would you can an influencer in 30 CE?

“If I see a Moor driving a chariot, I wonder if he’s qualified,:”

"“I can’t stand the word empathy, actually,” he said. “I think empathy is a made-up, Jesus-y term that does a lot of damage.”

“Jews were actually better under the Pharaohs. It was bad. It was evil. But what happened? Something changed. They committed less crimes.”

“Never trust a Samaritan. Those people will stab yopu in the back just as soon as look at you, amirite?”

“This weak lib Jesus needs to die.”

That’s rich, coming from somebody who ran for Congress after it turned out he was too corrupt to be a rural cop anymore

Jesus forgave him so nothing he did counts anymore.

"A few crucifixions are an acceptable price to pay to protect our right to throw stones.*

I’m stealing that, it brings a tear to the eye.

“But maybe one of the reasons why Jesus has been so, just, kind of annoyingly liberal over the last couple of years is that he’s not yet married and he doesn’t have children. I say this non-sarcastically. I say this as a husband and a father. Having children changes you. Getting married changes you, and I hope that Mary Magdalene marrying the Jewish prophet ends up conservatizing them. This Jesus fellow might deradicalize himself. He might come back down to reality and get off this whole “Son of God” kick. I want them to have lots of children. It teaches something about – teaches you something about yourself.”

So this…

Yesterday while driving on the freeway I passed a billboard. It was one of the digital ones so I had about two seconds to see what it was before it changed. What I saw was,

CHARLES KIRK *
and on the right his portrait.
On the left were four lines
Man of God
Family man

and two others I didn’t have time to read before it changed. I’d bet one mentioned Martyr.

I threw up in my mouth a little.

*Not “Charlie”

Thank you that’s what I was thinking of!

Wish I could have noticed my typo in time to correct it. Looks bad quoted.

There’s an annoying one in Mesa that’s been there so long it shows upon Google Street view. Probably been there since trumpo’s first term. It’s an old skool papered billboard, not a digital. Probably owned by the John Birch Society.

It says

(something) Legalize Freedom
God
Country
Trump

Makes me want to go over there with a paintball gun, or a spray can on a long stick. Or a demo saw. Should I put this in the “have you considered violence” thread?

As I said on BlueSky, this is an insult to the true 13th apostle, Rufus. Jesus still owes him 12 bucks!

He would have beaten Judas to the punch.

“30 pieces of silver? I’d do it just for the attention!”

This was visible on the eastbound 202 between Riverview and Mesa Grande.

TOO good. :+1:

I actually saw a car today with a bumper sticker that read “I  Russians”. I did a double take.

This world, I don’t understand it.

I saw a car in red Apache Junction (free thinker town) and its plate said “ILVRUSA”. Now, I maintain it said “I love Russia”. Change my mind!

Democrats removed from a county fair by Sheriffs for pins that said 8647 and “Is he dead yet”.

“Everybody can say anything, right? But then what are the consequences of what you say?” Schneider said.

[County Sheriff Kurt] Schneider said that he reported the incident to Trump’s Secret Service, and his department is looking into possible criminal charges

I don’t think he understands what the concept of ‘you have freedom of speech but not freedom from consequences’ means.

Any bets 1488 is perfectly okay with this pogue? He needs a lawsuit to learn actions have consequences as well.
