NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 4)

Oh how they howl if a Dem politician dabbles in foreign policy. Classic ‘for thee but not for me’.

Australia is receiving threats from U.S. politicians aligned to President Trump. U.K., France, and Canada received the same letter also.

A group of 25 senior Republican lawmakers, including Texas senator Ted Cruz and Trump loyalist Elise Stefanik of New York, have written to the prime minister, as well as French president Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer of Britain and Mark Carney of Canada, urging a rethink.

"This is a reckless policy that undermines prospects for peace. It sets the dangerous precedent that violence, not diplomacy, is the most expedient means for terrorist groups like Hamas to achieve their political aims,” the letter said.

“This misguided effort to reward terrorism also imperils the security of your own countries.

“Proposed recognition is coinciding with sharp increases in antisemitic activity in each of your countries. Jews are facing unprecedented harassment and attacks against them are becoming a common occurrence.”

The group warned the US could retaliate over the recognition plan, first announced in August.

“Proceeding with recognition will put your country at odds with longstanding U.S. policy and interests and may invite punitive measures in response.”

Oh no. What ever will that be? Ridiculous tariffs? Cry me a river, rethuglicans.

It says “I veer, USA!” A warning that the driver operates erratically.

I think someone is making up stories to inflate their ego. people going up to officials with “8647” buttons and asking them “Is he dead yet”? Yeah, right. Remember all those tales of veterans being spit on in the airport when they came back from Viet Nam?

I did know someone I had reason to believe/trust who claimed not to be a veteran returning from Viet Nam but rather one of the spitters. So… there could have been isolated incidents, but yeah, no evidence of that being a widespread or common occurrence.

IF there was anyone doing anything of the sort alleged I’d guess it was one, maybe two people and not some organized group. While such expression of opinion/feeling might be offensive I would still put it under First Amendment.

While returning not from Viet Nam but rather, Okinawa I did not get spit upon but plenty of stink-eye.

Fireworks at funerals???

I’m going to check if real but jeeezzee

It seems at least partially true.

Thanks, I’m in Hawaii and just getting coffee.

“President Donald Trump has demanded an investigation into what he called a “triple sabotage” at the United Nations General Assembly, including his unsubstantiated allegation that an escalator was deliberately halted while he and first lady Melania Trump were riding it.”

What a dipshit fuckwad dumbfuck.
Republicans love him.

The fun (in the sense of Horrifying But Sort Of Humorous) is in watching Republicans refer to this as if it were genuinely scandalous. The Triple Sabotage!!!11!!! It will go down in history!!! The outrage shall live forever!!!1!!!

I won’t link as so far I have only comments from right-wingers on CNN’s ‘battle’ panel shows. But I bet we’ll hear from Thune and Johnson on the topic, at least.

Sabotage!!! I keep thinking of this clip from The Goldbergs.

“I could tell you it had a wild effect on women. I thought they were about to start throwing their panties at me.”

From a tiktok comment quoted in the article:

“They are OBSESSED with inflicting pain and suffering on people who don’t agree with them.”

There’s a mustache only a Republican could love!

They were probably using the panties as a distraction while they escaped.
