I recognize this name; we may have even posted in the same thread.
So here’s a report from the newbie portion of the membership (3/9/03, ID: 32380).
My northern neighbor samkozel has never ever posted.
I stagger in at 0.52 posts per day, or 30 total.
My southern neighbor McDeath_the_Mad is beating me with 41 posts, or 0.71 per day.
Looks like I need to kick up production…
And on the google front, the only interesting thing about my number is that I apparently am the number for an iomega 30 GB portable hard drive. I could use a spare 30 GB in my life.

Heh, this was fun.
First of all, I found out that my ID# is palindromic (19991) which felt like a good omen. It’s also the smallest number expressible as the sum of consecutive primes in five ways, apparently. Sadly, I quickly discovered that neither of my immediate neighbours are in any way prolific posters.

The street immediately to the North of ours seemed similarly quiet: 19989 is the address of Cyclopatra with two posts and chlorine at 19989 who’s never posted. trishdish at 19987 has 206 posts (the street’s best) - hello! - and there’s four others with no posts, including RatHead at 19984.
If this exemplifies a typical Doper’s street, it’d be interesting to see who lives in the ‘prime real estate’ areas, with plenty of high postcount members living next to each other.

Then there’s #5075, me.
Immediately following me, we have #5076, leeeaaaaaaa, who also joined on 03-19-2000, and clocks in with no posts whatsoever.
On Google, I’m a House Resolution called the “Investing In America’s Future Act of 2002,” a course number for a History of Marine Sciences class at a university in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a a multi-purpose textile binder polymer.
Here, my northern neighbor is Pedestrian, #4665. He only posted twice. Maybe he didn’t have much to say, since, according to his profile, his interests consist of “nada nada y nada puis nada y nada y puis nada.”
The guy two doors north of me saw fit to go through the registration process to make only one post - two sentences in a thread called “Is Cecil Gay?”
Three doors up is chetn2 whose sole post consisted entirely of a quote of someone else’s post. He didn’t add a word. Where do these people come from?
I got up to 4670 before I found an active poster. Mishell. Never heard of her. She’s only posted 299 times in over three years, but her most recent was just yesterday.
Okay, maybe I’ll have better luck on the south side. Err, nope. Skelly52 registered, but never posted. I had to go six doors down to find someone who had posted more than twice - SingleDad, who racked up a whopping 1344 posts in three months before getting banned. Well, at least it’s a name I recognize and remember. That’s something, I guess.
The closest active southern poster is 17 doors down from me, Jeff Lichtman, with only 38 posts in over three years, the most recent of which was just four days ago.
My neighborhood isn’t so much a neighborhood as it is a vacant lot.
Right before me is a Mandos who has around 125 posts, last seen last month.
Just after is a lachicabuena, with only one post made shortly after registering.
OTOH World Eater registered the same day as I did too, and as of right now, has 3599 posts. (I have around 425, I think.)
I didn’t take the time to list my whole street, because I’m ashamed of it!
If I’m correct, the entire street, not including me, has posted 7 times!
If any friends want to come over, my house number is 22919. We could raise hell and throw a bitchin party, because apparently I’m the only one who lives here anymore! Apparently the entire block except for me disappeared between June and July of 2002 and were never heard from again! The next street over is pretty empty too…guys, is there something you’re not telling me? Do I have a boog hanging, or something?

Here in the 4280 block of Doperville, we’re a quiet, almost eerie bunch.
4280, the aptly named ** Onmylunchhour** who joined, but never posted.
4281 is the number for Darkshaddo, an engineer in Arizona interested in lapidary, flying and space. Apparently it was so dark in this corner of AZ, that the individual never bothered to post once. But the profile did self-describe the person as “professional bullshitter,” so it may have just been our old friend lunchie from above playing around
4282 is TripleAnt, who seems moderately alive, with a total of 197 posts, the last being “Mortgage Song on The Shield” on 04-02-03
4283 is the home to Peligro, who posted five posts the same day we all signed up (Jan. 31, 2000) and then vanished. Peligro’s last post was to “SuperBowl XXXIV: Detroit 34 - Jacksonville 23,” whereupon the mystery poster split, perhaps as a disappointed Jacksonville fan.
4284, being of course, in all modesty, my humble self, Hometownboy, with a paltry 796 posts spread over the last three years and four months. A nice guy. Buy him a beer (on the malty side, please) next time you see him.
4285 is the star of our block, Yeah, who is within reach of the magic 1000th post at 955, with a hefty (0.80) post-per-day average. We covet his or her post total, and most of the rest of her or his things, as well.
4286 is c fury who posted a total of 4 posts, ending on May 5, 2000. We can surmise that the “c” in his or her name stood for “Canadian,” since this Doper’s last post was “Canadian students forced to pledge loyalty.”
4287 is the number to know for skwyd, a self-employed person from Turlock, CA, who lists hobbies as “life, the universe, and everything” must have gotten busy at his job, because after 3 posts, this Doper vanished on 05-10-2000, after posting to “Who’s the Perve?” It may be that the person just slunk away in shame.
4288 is pobz, a cipher who registered, but didn’t bother to post even once and who left no information on the profile page.
And 4289 is the charmingly named Uppitywoman, who eked out a paltry 45 posts before fading away. Last post was to “new puppy” 0n 03-29-2000. Perhaps the pup has been keeping her busy.
It’s practically a ghost town out our way, but we like it quiet. Ever since we took out the first punkmobile cruising by going thumpa thumpa thumpa with a handy RPG (“don’t leave home without one”) the background annoyance level has faded WAY down. Come see us sometime. We’ll stir up a pitcher of lemonade or something stronger and sit on the porch and listen to the crickets.
