NFL Week 10

The Browns are so creative in their ability to lose. I am sure I said this before on this board, but my favorite was a number of years ago when they were playing the Ravens, score tied, final seconds of regulation, and they were in field goal range. So they either make the kick and win, or miss and go to OT, either way they are in good shape.

But the Ravens block the kick and run it back for a score. That was option 3 I hadn’t even considered. The team will surprise you!

There are some career fields where turning into a giant cockroach would be instant disqualification, but football isn’t one of them.

I turned on the game well into the 1st and said, “There’s something you don’t see every day: 3-2 in the NFL.” I turned it off a few mins later (zzz) but I’m glad to learn what happened. He goes away for good next year, right?

That seems to be what he’s saying right now, at least.

1 1/2 quarters in, and so far this is likely the worst-played game I’ve seen this year (and I’ve seen some doozy Browns games). Philly TE had a 1st down-if he had cut directly upfield vs. getting fancy in a way tight ends usually aren’t capable, didn’t make it, 2 plays later the Eagles are forced to punt…and their punter shanks a 20 yarder.

The Packers opened the game with a 9-play, 5:45 drive…that netted a total of 12 yards. The Eagles responded with a 16-play, 8:46 drive that gained 77 yards…but ended with a fumble. Still 0-0 with 1:54 to play in the first half.

A soccer match seems to have broken out.

Packers get within OK Field Goal range with 2 timeouts remaining, and then turn it over…
There have been some really bad and weird mistakes.

First time in almost two years that an NFL game has been scoreless in the first half. The last such game was 12/10/2023, when the Texans and Jets played to a 0-0 tie at halftime. That game ended with the Jets winning 30-6.

There have been 73 games ending 0-0, but none since 1943.

And there won’t be one tonight.

First time it was scoreless in the first half on MNF since 2009.

The Packers, once again, dig themselves into a hole. I’m tired of this particular song. :frowning:

I thought for sure the Packers were going to score on that previous possession.

I’m rooting for them in this game but I don’t like their odds. Points are hard to get and being down 10 feels more like being down 30 in this game.

Wow, no punt there? Worried more about a punt block than losing all that field position?

Amusing that this ends with the same 10-7 score as the other terrible game this week on Thursday night.

It feels like both teams lost that one.

The Eagles loss less.

Each Packers loss this season has been by 3 points. And they tied one game, too.

With just 4 plays going the other way, this Green Bay team could have been 9-0.

While this is true, they are playing really inconsistently. They keep falling behind in games and have to dig themselves out of a hole week after week; in particular, their offense is getting off to slow starts too often.

Sure, they might be four plays away from being 9-0; had those gone the other way, people would be saying, “that is the ugliest 9-0 I’ve ever seen.”
