The tougher games are:

AZ @ Cin - Flip a coin.

NO @ Hou - Which Saints will show up?

SD @ Jax - Which Chargers will show up?

Oak @ Min - The miracle kid is injured. Now what?

NYG @ Det - Det plays well at home, but NYG gave Dallas a good run in the 1st half last week. Could Det have done that?

Ten @ Den - Den can’t stop the run. How good is the Ten pass defense?

I will enjoy watching Dallas bury the Skins.

Cleveland is designed, offensively and defensively, like Cincinatti, who handled the Ravens pretty easily last week. However, last week, the Ravens were laying 4, and this week they’re getting 3. At home. Ravens are bringing in Boller, who is no savior, but can’t be worse than McNair has been playing. I don’t know how they’re going to slow down Derek Anderson.

I think the Giants will mangle the Lions. You think Washington wreaked havoc on Detroit’s O-line? Wait till New York gets into it.

Minnesota should still be a much better team than Oakland, even without “Purple Jesus” (credit: dan lebetard).

I like Tennesse against Denver. I’d take them at even money, or even laying a couple.

As will I.

Go Dallas!!!

That may be the greatest nick I’ve ever heard. Beauty.

How many times? And will the next flip be heads or tails?
(OK, just go ahead and shoot me, but I couldn’t resist)

Can’t believe all the Dallas love in this thread, the haters must not be off yet.

Dallas love? Love to see them lose.
I think the Giants will beat the Lions. Like the entire season, it comes down to the defensive line. If they play, they can beat almost anyone.

I can’t parse those spreads. Could you list the columns? Thanks.

That’s how low the 49ers have fallen. A 3-point dog in their own house against a 1-8 team.
It hurts, it really does.

How quickly the rats have fallen, a 3 point home dog to Cleveland. I still like Cleveland in that game, a lot.

I like KC +14.5 even at Indy. Indy will rebound and win the game, but they’re too beat up to make giving anyone 14.5. KC is a pretty decent scoring defense. I expect an Indy 24 KC 15 type score with Indy being in control the whole time.

Oak +5.5 @MIN. I’m not sure I’d bet it (because Oakland is so sad and inconsistent) but MIN doesn’t have much business being a favorite over anyone with Peterson out of the game.

TEN +2 at Denver. Is Haynesworth still out? I’m guessing yes with that line. Denver isn’t going to stop a methodical Titan rushing attack, and the Titan defense will keep Denver in check even with Haynesworth out.

I don’t have any super confident bets like last week, where I won on both Cleveland +9.5 and Cinci +165 on the money line (and if the game had gone over, I’d have won some sweet parlays)

Thanks, Bear.

Cleveland’s best runner is inactive again. Much better to stick with Jamal “that hole isn’t where the play designed it to be… I’m gonna run into the back of my linemen instead” Lewis.

Sigh.

Rumor headline on Yahoo! Sports: “Niners running short on quarterbacks.”
As in, we don’t have any, healthy or not.

Cards win!

Never seen an ending like the Browns/Rats game.

Of course it never should’ve been in position. Romeo Crennel does his absolute best to blow leads. If the Browns go into halftime with a substantial lead, I KNOW the other team is going to get some easy scores on the next few drives. Every single time.

We held Baltimore to 35 yardsof offense in the entire first half. So Romeo decided that obviously wasn’t working and that we should give all the receivers a 10 yard cushion instead.

The lead is always blown in these games, it just comes down to whether or not the offense can retake it in the end.

Yeah back up to .500 and Warner looked Amazing. Some improv to keep alive (his toss to JJ “Dynomite” Arlington and his left handed toss to Leonard "false start fever"Pope were sweet plays. Plus not one INT or Fumble even after getting dumped on his ass 3 times in one day.
The 'Zonda D was stout, with Wilson and Fransisco out they were thin at DB.
Did not matter, Antere Rolle had three INT’s two went back for a score.
And how about those linebackers? Dansby has his third INT in two games plus another 7 tackles on the day. Hayes added 6-3 tackles, Blackstock had a sack spliting time, and Pace who only had 4 tackles managed to deflect two passes at the line.

Was a great game.
Next week the 49er at home.

Osip

Has NFL’s overtime always been sudden death? I thought I remembered watching games where the fifth quarter was decided by a field goal after each team had scored a touchdown. If God is sending the Ravens a message this year, I think it must be “lay down for New England and Indy, and I’ll give you whoever the Dolphins don’t pick in the draft.” Did you see that freaking field goal?

According to a USATODAY discussion, sudden death overtime has been in place for NFL playoff games since 1941, and since 1974 for the regular season.

So what the hell happened in that Steelers-Jets game? I mean, WTF! We didn’t get to see any of it locally, so can anyone pinpoint what the hell went wrong there?
