NFL week 2: The Lion(s) (don't) sleep tonight(/ Sunday)(?)

I’m wrong, misread the article.

The staggered start doubleheaders on Week 1 kinda made sense, although you had to lock in a West Coast team at home for the second game.

I don’t think you can stuff the genie back into the bottle. The Sunday night game will remain the game of the week, hyped the most and available to cord cutters.”

A Bills defender goes low and leads with his helmet at an already down WR. He ends up injuring his own teammate who made the tackle. Ugly.

I feel like Josh Allen is gently placing some of these passes right into his receivers’ hands. That rainbow down the left was just gorgeous.

Is something wrong with Derrick Henry? I’m getting Brandon Jacobs vibes, like he’ll drop if you breathe on him.

Yeah no luck. I’m switching back and forth, delete in and restarting the recording when I catch real time then switching to the other game, rinse and repeat.

Not sure about ABC, but the ESPN feed has the scoreboard for the ABC game in the top left corner, and they keep cutting to game breaks to keep us updated. It is not appreciated.

So far, the experiment of having two games on air to avoid clunkers is failing spectacularly. Buffalo is dismembering Tennessee and Philly is in control against the Vikings.

WHOOOO!!! :eagle: WIN!!

We’re kicking ass— Postseason ass!

After this game the NFC is all tied at 1-1.

The division is ours! “Fly, Eagles, fly…”

I assume you mean “NFC North”; it’s also true of the NFC West.

Yay, Packers! Tied for first place! We won’t talk about the fact that we’re also tied for last.

I almost typed NFC Central.:grin: 51, but a brain of an 80-year-old.

They are undefeated this year!

Speaking of undefeated, after two weeks there are just six unbeaten teams in the NFL. Two of them, the Bills and Dolphins, play each other this week.

I ask the Raiders fans this. What Happened to your team in the second half.? Typical Raider football agian. I am glad I’m not a Raiders fan.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced nine former players who are on this year’s initial ballot for the Hall, in their first year of eligibility. They are:

  • Tackle Joe Thomas
  • Cornerback Darrelle Revis
  • Defensive end Dwight Freeney
  • Running back Chris Johnson
  • Guard Jahri Evans
  • Linebacker NaVorro Bowman
  • Linebacker James Harrison
  • Safety Kam Chancellor
  • Punter Shane Lechler

If memory serves, Thomas’s father-in-law is a Doper.

Inactive poster Shodan said he was Thomas’s uncle.

Feels like Freeney and Harrison are the most obvious elections.

I’m sure at least a dozen ex-linemen illegally held Harrison when the announcement was made and Goodell changed the rules to make sure he can’t get in.

Ahh, right, thank you.

I think Thomas would be, too. Six-time All-Pro, named to the 2010s All-Decade Team, and didn’t miss a single offensive play until the final season of his career (10,363 consecutive snaps).

Bam-Bam! He was the leader of the historic Legion of Boom and I think he’s a really good candidate. Even though he’s not the best-known of the group, he was essential. When he got hurt and had to retire, that’s when the wheels fell off the bus in Seattle.

There are some other great entries on that list. Bowman, Freeney, Revis, and Johnson stick out to me. And Joe Thomas, given his body of work, I expect he’ll make it in at some point.

Joe Thomas is a slam dunk first ballot candidate. If he played for a good team he’d be one of the strongest cases of all time.

It didn’t happen. Number one the Rams held on to defeat the Falcons despite the crappy second half give away to the Falcons. Secondly the Riaaaaaderrrs lost to the Cardinals by giving up 2 point conversions twice and losing in OT. The Faiders failed the second half to a short QB on the other side.

After catching some flack for their tone-deaf defense of a serial sexual abuser,
Here’s your latestfrom Cleveland fans.

Also, some attendee was banned forever for throwing a bottle at Haslam.
