NFL Week One good turn deserves another

Have I missed it, or are the Steelers not marching to the Super Bowl this year?

I understand he also recently had back surgery, so that certainly can’t help his situation.

Apparently the receiver is allowed to shove someone onto their backside with an extended arm prior to catching the pass.

I’d still wager that the Bucs would have won, but they sure got help there.

I know no one cares, but I’m officially 1-0 gambling this year. We’ll see if I remain in the black after Sunday.

Trusted Dallas to cover, or figured Dallas’ crappy D and PI calls would make the over?

Dallas and the points. While I expected TB to win, I thought 9.5 (where the line settled) was way too much. Turned out that there were probably a handful of things, any of which would have given Dallas the W had they gone the other way. Not the least of which was that atrocious non-call on the OPI on the final drive.

I was shocked that Dallas insisted on forcing the ball to Lamb all game. He had some ugly drops and Cooper had the better matchup all game long. Zeke, predictably, looks awful. Doesn’t bode well for my IRL money league.

Early games start in 40 minutes. Although it is of more interest in fantasy, I was surprised by a couple of healthy scratches on the Inactives list. First, the Bills made Zach Moss inactive, leaving Devin Singletary and Matt Breida as their RBs. Won’t matter much, because the Bills will simply pass the ball 60 times a game. And the 49ers made rookie Trey Sermon inactive too. As the guy who was supposed to take over the lead back role, it’s weird for him to be a scratch.

Ryan Fitzpatrick already hurt for WFT, now everyone gets to see Heinicke.

Ryan Fitzpatrick out injured already. It’s Heinicke time!

Think the defense is going to have to win this one.

Head Coaches get too much of the blame when things go wrong. Sure Detroit is down 28-10 but the moron who thought trading Stafford for Goff was a good idea shares lots of responsibility. Goff making bad decisions and throwing a pick 6 are really hurting the team.

Wow Taylor Heinicke might really be a thing.

Assuming Fitz doesn’t make a very quick recovery, Heinicke will have to start Thursday against the Giants, who won’t have much time to prepare for him either.

God I hate the DPI enforcement now, it’s a fucking joke. Now, WRs apparently have to be allowed to move through the space where the defensive player is to make a catch. Fucking ridiculous.

Just fucking heave the ball downfield every play and take the DPI.

It’s not like it was a straight up trade. They have an extra first round pick in each of the next two drafts.

Which will likely be late first rounders and they have crippled themselves at QB. Goff was benched and dumped by the Rams for a reason. It might be understandable if the Lions plan on tanking and rebuilding but will the HC get the benefit of the doubt?

Seahawks new offense looks good with 4 TDs. :+1:

Stafford wanted out and asked for a trade. He wasn’t going to play for Detroit. And the Lions were not going to compete this year anyway. The Lions got what they could, and it was a pretty good haul.

Man, Cleveland is just shoving the run right down KC’s throats.

Browns playcalling was pretty fun this half. Baker looking sharp. Run game looking dominant. I don’t see how they don’t get at least 30 wins this season.
