FOOTBALL IS OFFICIALLY BACK! I’m ready for my heart to be broken yet again.
In Green Bay, it looks like this defense, at least on paper, is the best since they won the Super Bowl. The offensive line will be welcoming All-Pro tackle Bakhtiari and Pro Bowl Offensive Line Player Elgton Jenkins in the foreseeable future, possibly this week. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are healthy are ready to roll, and Aaron Rodgers has been doing drugs.
But even I am worried about those wide receivers. It could be ugly. Or my eternal optimism may hold out, and they win the Super Bowl.
Also, Fuck the Browns. Fuck 'em all day long. Fuck 'em.
Is something wrong with Cam Akers? Seems like the forgotten man in the offense.
The Bills gotta stop calling quarterback run plays. It’s one thing if a play breaks down so Allen has to take off. But they’re calling designed quarterback run plays. That’s just not a good idea.
And the Rams looked like shit. The Bills are probably really good, but still. Stafford looked like he was still in a Lions uniform. They don’t appear to have any running game. Even Jalen Ramsey got burned badly, though that was probably a blown coverage.
The Rams O-line was like tissue paper; poor Stafford got sacked 6 ? times and knocked around a few more. The Bills seemed to have figured out that if Josh Allen throws the ball as soon as possible, LA’s defense can’t get to him. That’s why they pay the OC the big bucks.
Honestly, I don’t care if the coach is as boring as Belichek or as cartoonish as Campbell in press conferences, as long as he knows how to win games and get in the playoffs.
Ah, good, we get the first massively affecting terrible penalty against the Browns in the first quarter of the year. Had them pinned down at the 2 yard line and called roughing the passer on a textbook hit.
I actually think Baker has been unfairly maligned and is talented and can succeed but man he does not look good today. Carolina’s offense is really inept. Browns can’t pass but at least they’ve got the run game going. Defense is off to go a good start, although it can be hard to tell what’s a bad offense and what’s a good defense.
