NFL Week One is the Loneliest Number

Who would’ve guessed an NFL game could come down to not having a healthy long snapper? Bengals/Steelers just cranking up the insanity.

Clutch ass Cade York 60 yard field goal, McPherson choked, maybe the post-Tucker AFC North kicker race is still undecided.

Edit: Oh was it a snapping problem? I didn’t actually see it.

Bengals using their backup TE as a longsnapper because of injury. The talking heads seem convinced that both the blocked kick and the missed one were caused by a poor and then a slow snap.

Some sloppy football being played for most of these games but we had some exciting finishes. Redzone was bonkers for a while there.

Houston? missed a chipshot FG, Steelers/Bengals missed 3 late game winning kicks combined, Browns win on a 60 yarder, lots of crazy kicking going on.

Giants are off to a great start. Our QB didn’t know where the 1st down was on a sneak needing less than a yard. Punting team gave up a large return and defense looked weak allowing Titans a quick TD.

The Colts and Texans ended up with a 20-20 tie after Rodrigo Blankenship missed a 42-yard field goal.

It’s the first time the Colts have been involved in a tie since December 19, 1982 against the Green Bay Packers; it was the closest thing they had to a positive result in that strike-shortened season. (The Colts were playing in Baltimore at the time).

And it’s the Texans’ first tie in franchise history.

Steelers win 23-20 over the defending AFC Champion Bengals in Cincinnati, on a 53-yard field goal with no time remaining in overtime. We came this close to having two 20-20 ties on the same day.

I’m more annoyed with the idiot announcer bringing up Josh Allen over and over.

Only because the Bungholes kicker forgot how to kick.

Daniel Jones doesn’t look like a real quarterback. I’m ready for Tyrod Taylor.

I’m largely ignoring the announcers. It makes its a little better.

Can the Giants avoid a losing record this year?

Well with these sacks comings so fast, you might get your wish.

What the hell is going on?

Probably not. I’m mostly hoping that there will be less games this year that I turn off at halftime in disgust. After this last drive with 3rd and 20 I have doubts about that now.

Would that be a tie-agami?

Holy crap, brutal, just brutal.

Ugly fumble after briefly looking good.

The Titans are simply a better team at every facet of the game.

I treated myself to NFL Red Zone this year. I believe I got my full money’s worth on the opening games today.

If you don’t have it, get it.

Ha!

That’s not the question. The question is will they be drafting top five, top three, or #1 overall when they draft their next quarterback next year?

Saquon Barkley stepping up for my fantasy team at least. So far he seems to be the entire offense.

ETA: Jesus Christ they can’t even snap an extra point.
