I like a lot of old TV shows, but I have never seen “Night Court”. Does anybody know why?

I’m not sure what you mean- but it seems to be available on freevee, (which used to be IMDb tv and is included with Amazon prime)

Maybe the original run was broadcast the same night as Nude Bingo down at the I.O.O.F. hall, and you never missed a night?
I think I know what the OP is getting at. It is not on the normal cable TV old classic show rotation, like MeTV , etc.

As for finding episodes…wait for it. It was on MeTV in regular rotation a couple of years ago. It will be back.

I believe the OP is asking “Why isn’t this show being broadcast today.” I can’t speak for this particular show, but I’ll give a couple of guesses that might apply to any show:
The show was never that popular to begin with.
Whoever is holding the rights thinks they have a gold mine and wants an exorbitant fee.
There is something about the show that would be considered offensive now, and no one wants to open that can of worms.
The show’s recordings have deteriorated and most people would not want to watch them.
It is being broadcast on Laff TV at 11:00 am EDT Mondays and at 11:00 PM weekdays.
I doubt this is it. Didn’t it run on NBC immediately after Cheers? That scheduling alone ought to have garnered it millions of viewers.
Yeah, it was a big hit in its day. Ran for nine seasons and won about a half-dozen Emmies.
No show makes it to 9 seasons without being at least a little popular.
Also, popular enough that there’s a sequel series in development. John Larroquette set to reprise his role. Unfortunately much of the principle cast has passed over the last 30 years.
