As for Meeko’s claim I believe Mahaloth has given that power (doctor with you feel save message) to scum before. I didn’t follow the game enough to say he is scum though. Perhaps he’s not as panicky (as he normally is as town) because he’s holding his claimed potatoes from the start (so no surprises for him).
Yay! I feel better about this game now.
I was wrong about Pleonast; not totally wrong, I think in the given circumstances, the actions by Town were irrational, but obviously Pleonast was scum and I didn’t see that coming.
I was right about storyteller.
I was (presumably) wrong about Meeko though.
I was right about ushi and Ed based on their ‘conversation.’
Am I counting wrong or have there only been 3 lynches so far in the game:
(1) Pleonast
(2) ushi
(3) Scuba_Ben
That’s 2 correct lynches to 1 incorrect lynch. Town could not possibly be at Lynch or Lose without the game being horribly unbalanced. Therefore there is a maximum of 2 scum left, one of which would have to be Cookies. If there is only one scum left, then Cookies is Town.
If there are two scum left AND Cookies is Town, then the game had the potential of being terribly lopsided.
I am in fact known for using Spivak pronouns in MafiaScum, as SP remembered from International. I learned it from my years playing Agora Nomic, where Spivak pronouns are standard. (Unless the rules were amended to override the custom.)
If there are 2 scum left then Town needs 4 correct lynches to win and scum need 4 mislynches to win.
If there are 3 scum left then Town needs 5 correct lynches to win and scum need 3 mislynches to win.
I’m still thinking there can’t be more than 2 scum left. Not as clear cut, but needing to lynch 5 scum in an 18 player game is a bit too much to be plausible. If there are 3 scum left, then Cookies MUST be one of them. Otherwise WTF?
I don’t follow. If there are 2 scum left why would town need 4 correct lynches? Also, assuming Cookies is telling the truth about her role, there could have been 4 scum to start and she could have joined them later.
Back to my earlier comment, the exchange between Idle and Scuba in 1159-1164 strikes me as very much a scum on scum conversation.
Was going to agree to this, before I saw who posted.
**I agree here Pleonast. **
I mean, how short lived was my gambit of being JUST the vote charger?
I really thought that gambit had legs. I could prove / verify myself at a town power, and I thought I cast enough doubt that I wasn’t cop.
But then again, apparently we were just playing Harry Potter again, so perhaps scum had it in for me. either way. To say nothing about that night I got redirected.
Very short lived to me. Zero in fact. I had already had a sense that you were the doc, it just got lost in my having a RL major issue on Monday night into Tuesday. Had I kept my wits about me, I probably would have remembered this and not pushed you into revealing.
