Yeah, Shortbus is basically a great drama flick with a couple of good pornos in it. I wouldn’t start watching it with the explicit purpose of getting off, but once I started watching it it got me so hot and bothered that I ended up using it as porn. I had to rewind a couple of times cause I had gotten caught up in the sex scenes, then drifted off into a fantasy world, and missed a couple minutes of plot development after it came back to the drama part.
Edit: My favorite part was the female lead’s masturbation scene. I’m not into solo porn at all but that scene made the movie for me, erotically speaking.

Try Hustler’s “Barely Legal” series. Each is a compilation of vignettes with ostensibly 18-year-old chicks (no big names, but all attractive) paired off with other young chicks or with guys of a wide range of ages. In each case the plot is a barely-minimal setup for the action and it’s quickly disposed of. There is no scatology or anything else unusual. Nothing spectacularly artistic, but the scenes are well-filmed, well-paced, with miminal background music (so the sex noises themselves are emphasized), and they offer everything you’re looking for except for guy-on-guy.
BrianGlutton, that’s the first good suggestion I’ve seen. The Barely Legal series is hot, straight sex. No spitting or weird stuff. Just straight sex, not too many closeups and no weirdness.
I’m a little disappointed in the porn hounds of the Dope. Has no one heard of Private? Now you have to be careful if you check out Private because they offer everything from erotic porn to total bizarre gonzo fetish action. But they do offer honesty in advertising. What you see on the boxcover is what you see in the movie. This is unlike US porn studio Vivid, which gives you a boxcover of a beautiful airbrushed model and a movie full of ugly bimbos.
Aside from Private, I recommend European porn in general. It’s not nearly as gonzo and the women are so beautiful. The guys aren’t ugly either; there’s no European Ron Jeremy. You probably want to avoid Rocco Siffredi though, he’s Europe’s gonzo king. Marc Dorcel movies tend to be really good, although Marc Dorcel is a production company and not just a single director so quality and style may vary.
Yes, Private does very good work. In college, that was pretty much the only brand I whose products (usually magazines) I bought. I’ve since been kind of neutral on Private, although I far prefer their work to Vivid’s, since my basic cable subscription in Budapest included Private Gold (the hardcore channel) from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. every day. There can be too much of a good thing. Although, I must say, Silvia Saint and Michelle Wild put the American porn stars to shame.

Same problems as OpalCat reports. I’m not a prude but I’ve never found any porn I found erotic, and don’t look for it often because the web sites say one thing and lead you to something different (and usually gross and off-turning) and open 10 zillion unasked-for windows; and the in-person places all seem to be run by sausage-shaped scowly cynical guys who give me the creeps.
Me, I’d like to see some that has Person A gettting Person B aroused scenes followed by Person A consummating things with Person B, not just the latter.
