There’s something weird about the notifications dropdown that I’ve noticed for a while. This is the dropdown you get if you click on your avatar on the upper right of the page.
Let’s say I have two notifications (from two different threads), so there’s a little two there. If I click on the dropdown, I have one chance to open those using that menu (I typically shift-click to open those threads in a different tab). If I close and re-open it, the new notifications disappear, and the top item in the dropdown is an edit from a Mod months ago. After that are other notifications from even further back. The new ones are all gone.
When you replied, my avatar in the corner had a little blue 1 on it. I click on it and your post was on top. I opened this up in a new tab. Now, when I click my avatar in the corner, your post is gone, and the most recent thing is that Mod edit, plus stuff that happened before that.
If I had just clicked on it twice, I would have to search to find your reply to me, I guess on some notifications tab somewhere.
