Unrelated Siblings chiming in.
I would prefer to keep it at 9:30 PM on the first (Thursday, aka tomorrow).
Although I am not opposed to the potential move. This is just what I prefer.

I’m not opposed to moving to the 2nd, but the time would need to be 7PM(central) at the latest. I have to leave for work at 9PM.
Oilers(IKN)
I could go with the move as long as it’s after 6:00 PM (Central).
The Lorem Ipsums.
Just bumping this before you guys are locked into settings that could really hurt new players.
I’d really prefer to keep the draft on Thursday night. Friday night (Pacific time) is out for me. I can do Sunday if we need to reschedule.
At this late point I am guessing the draft is going to go ahead as planned. I have my rankings list on Yahoo all edited.
Can anyone help me figure out how to make sure that the draft uses my ranking rather than the yahoo rankings for the draft?
Team Dragon Ash. I’m fine with Saturday or Sunday, since it’s going to be 2:30am here on a weekday night (yikes). I’m fine if it goes as planned, but am more than willing to move it back a day or two if needed.
I can’t do it Sat or Sun. Would rather it stay the same.
Any input on Munch’s post about completions? I can see where it will really throw off the scoring…unless that is the idea…seems odd to me.
Don’t worry about it. I can rally back from a weak draft.
Look to me as a future trading partner. I am probably going to have to be active.
Made a final pass at the settings, and changed 3 things:
Completions will now award .1 point rather than 1 point–I think this will address Munch’s concern, while still making completions worth something.
Division winners get the top playoff seeds. I think there should be a reward for winning the division, such as it is.
Dropped max teams to 10, which is the number we have now. I don’t want to risk one more person signing up and screwing up the scheduled draft.
On the draft, based on the responses above, we’re going to do it tonight, as scheduled. We did not get unanimous consent to make the change. Sorry.
With a 10 team league, I think there should be plenty of talent to go around. In theory, every team could carry three real world starting QBs on the roster, and secure real world starters for all of the other roster spots as well. We’re pretty much the polar opposite of the Big League game **Senor Beef **is running. I think we’ve got some odd features, but I wanted a unique league experience. I hope this turns out to be fun for everyone.
Thanks for joining, and good luck to everyone in the draft tonight, and throughout the season.
I am excited. This should be a totally different type of league than anything I have experienced before. I think 2 QB with a flex and three wide receivers is going to make depth more interesting than you think it will be and that 10 is probably just right to keep it from getting crazy deep.
I have no idea how PPC will change things once we actually get started. Should be fun.
Am having trouble logging on to the site…a bit worrisome…
I’m logged in, got half an eye on the countdown to draft…one hour 5 minutes as I post this.
I don’t want to get all mushy on ya, Oak, but…
It’s cool that you are doing this. I followed your discussion last year and I think it is cool that you are trying a more “casual” approach.
I got the beers, chips and dip ready …40 minutes to go…
Draft room is open, and the draft order is:
Draft is over now. I make no claims of being even decent at fantasy football, but maybe I’ve got a decent starting lineup:
QB: Brees, Shaub
WR: Marshall, Welker, Harvin
RB: Turner, Ingram
TE: Graham (think he may have a breakout year)
W/R/T: Choice of Garcon, Jacobs, Ward, or Shiancoe. Prolly gonna start Jacobs.
K: Rackers
DEF: Saints
BN: Sanchez, Hassleback, Ward, Jacobs, Shiancoe, San Diego DEF
Knowing it’s a QB intensive league, I took Brees 1st overall, grabbed Schaub in the second round. Wanted Ingram, glad I got him, but the Saints spread the ball around so much it is always a risk…we’ll see how it turns out.
Well, autodraft didn’t hurt me too badly, but I am weaker at QB than I would like, no real surprise.
Still, my RBs probably own everyone else’s and I am fairly happy with my WR. Plus, Antonio Gates. That’s cool.
Well I managed to get the draft start time wrong, so came in to the draft in about the 5th round or so…to find I still had no quarterbacks in a 2-QB league
I lucked out in getting Bradford & Cutler - Bradford I think could be a top-10 QB this year and they’ll probably have to throw a ton. Cutler has talent and if the front line can keep him upright he should have a solid year.
So overall I really like my team: Rice & Mendenhall are outstanding RBs (rare to get two top-10 guys) and Blount is excellent value as a #3 RB. I’m slightly weaker at WR, which is bad because it’s a 3WR league, but it’s not quite so bad: Calvin Johnson was at the top of my WR list and I got him, Williams was a lucky pick because I like him a lot (I’m high on Freeman this year), and Julio Jones is my ROY pick so lots of upside there. I have two very solid TEs especially for PPR leagues in Davis and Olsen (I expect the Caroline TE to get lots of 3-5yrd dump-offs). Tate is a good backup if Foster’s injury is worse than it looks (if I was the Foster owner I definitely would have looked to get Tate or Ward on my bench as a handcuff). I didn’t realize on my last pick that I didn’t have a kicker, so will have to drop somebody.
A weird draft tho. Chris Johnson went deep in round 2?? I probably would have taken him with my 3 pick in round 1. Chicago has both Foster and Chris Johnson, which in a normal year would be almost unfair - but Foster’s injury could really come back to haunt him. Still has a decent-looking team, with solid players at WR/TE in Hicks, Manningham and Clark, but still a bit weak at QB and if Foster is out for any stretch his RB backups are awful.
Phoenix Redbird’s team could be a monster: AP, McFadden, and MJD, I love Stafford and Freeman as great upside QBs, Britt, Boldin and Amendola have lots of potential at WR. He’ll probably need all of them to out-perform tho. Don’t like the Crabtree pick.
More later,
Bit concerned about Bradford; if he’s hurt it could spell trouble because the rest of the
Only got 5 points from Bradford and 1.5 points from Blount…and should win this week unless the Law Firm goes absolutely crazy. I like my chances.
Barring stat corrections, this week’s winners are:
Darnassus Druids (hey, that’s me!)
Phoenix Redbirds
Oilers(IKN)
London Calling
The Lorem Ipsums
High score of the week is Darnasus Druids (hey, that’s me!) with 224.16 Fantasy Points.
Blowout of the week was Phoenix Redbirds over Unrelated Siblings, 218.28 to 157.46
This is a wild league, guys. Lots of points to be scored each week. I’m debating starting Sanchez over Schaub at my #2QB slot…
