Oak's NFL Fantasy League 2011

Ouch. Well, my one week run in first place is gonna end today. I’ve got only Gore and Welker left, and I’ve only got 122 points so far.

IKN faces an opponent with 4 empty slots (??) and is only up by 14. This was the week Megashark finally wins and he blows it. Angling for the number 1 draft pick?

I’m up by 30, and I still have five players left. Unless Jason Witten has an absolutely monster game, I’m not too worried. So far I’m 5 for 6 on players meeting projections, the only one falling short is A.J. Freely, who I picked up to replace Tarvaris Jackson, who’s filling in for Rodgers on bye.

Now my big choice going in to next week is my defense. I picked up Cinci because the Bears are on bye, and they put up a monster 62.9 pts. Which by my calculations is the most defensive points by any team this year. Granted, it was against the Seahawks (who have given up the most defensive points), but I’ve got a big decision on who to keep.

I’m trailing by 34 with nobody left. I need Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray to get -18 points each.

Now, I’m not going to dispute a person who implies personal issues kept him from playing fantasy football, but I am going to wonder greatly why you didn’t set your line-up in the time it took you to craft this post telling us you couldn’t set your line-up.

Anyway, I hope everything is ok an maybe you’ll be unable to set your line-up next week, too?

I lucked out this week. Seven players on bye or out with an injury(8 if you include Wells who ended up scoring a TD, but I didn’t think he would play). I was the lowest scoring winner. Hopefully Andre Johnson will be back next week.

Long story but I don’t have computer access due to a massive blackout in my part of new jersey and my phone wasn’t playing nice with the yahoo app when I realized my line up was screwy.

I feel bad because I have been trying to make a go of it anyway but this week just didn’t happen for me.

I’m looking to make a deal for a good QB this week. I’ve got a lot of depth at WR and RB and no one is untouchable.

Big game today vs. Oak. I’m going all in with a lot of risky players, let’s hope it works out.

Hot Damn! I’m gonna win one.

Seriously? D Jackson with 2 catches and a lost fumble? My kicker outperforms Ray Rice to set me up for a win? All I need is a slightly below average game and I get this? wtfffingmotherfffgdfffwhoreofafingmotherfffffff!!!

Feels pretty good at the top right now, although my receivers are all pretty banged up. Austin is out for a couple weeks at least, and Hester and Nate Washington both got injured too. Not sure what their status is yet. Plus, with Bennett back, Hester switching to mostly returns now. At least I’ll have Steve Smith coming back into play.

I have the good kind of problem: Too many good players I want to play.

Megatron’s a must-start. Bush was an obvious must-start. Rice is a must-start.

After that? Colston, Bryant, Cruz or Julio Jones. Murray might end up on my bench. Super Mario would be in the mix as well except that with him in the late game and a possible lingering knee injury at least I’m not tempted to play him.

D Jackson!! wtf Again!!! I get home from work(graveyard shift) and check the news, find out he missed a team meeting and is inactive today. I try to change my lineup but I’m just a few minutes too late. I hate you, I hate you, I hate you.

Ummm, anyone want to trade for D Jackson, he’s great.

Laurent Robinson - 2 receptions (one for 58 yards) - 2 touchdown.

Pretty happy with that pickup.

Wow, I’m hanging with the giants today.

A lot of really close games right now. Could be some big shakeups to the standing coming.

Also, my kicker has outscored 5 of my players, plus another 3 on my bench.

Looks like I lucked out this week and Oilers must have set his lineup early as DeSean Jackson was inactive.

I knew I’d reqret sitting Murray. At least I’ll probably still get the W.

Wow, big league shakeup. Oilers drops to 5th place, London Calling up to 4th. I think this league is gonna be all competitive up until the playoffs.
