Dammit. McGahee/Ball/McGahee/Ball/McGahee/Ball? I’ve been back and forth all day. I almost started both, then I almost sat both. Now I think Denver will get embarrassed tonight. Ryan literally wrote the book(OK one chapter in a book)about stopping the option. On the other hand 55 effin carries between the two last week. I don’t care how bad an offense is, I’ll take 55 carries b/t two RBs any day… except maybe this one. Alright I gotta pick one. Its McGahee, maybe.
Looks like I should have benched both of them.
I’m pretty stacked at WR - I’ll entertain any and all offers for any of my WRs including Megatron and Bryant for a good QB.
I have Fitzpatrick, Smith, and Palmer. Interested in one of them? I need a third WR and don’t mind parting with any of these guys, though they may not be Bryant or Johnson worthy.
Win number 2 coming up! I’m winning out the rest of the season I tells ya. My team is better than our record! Not good, but at least some things are coming together.
Normally, my response would be, “the key word in my offer was ‘good’ QB. Good, as in ‘doesn’t suck monkey balls’”.
'cause, even after putting up almost 270 yards against a bad Arizona defense, Smith isn’t even averaging 200 yards a game, and barely one TD pass. Palmer barely got 150 yards against an already bad Minnesota defense missing its two best players and now he’s lost one of us speed threats (granted, DHB wasn’t getting much action anyway, but still). His last 3 games, Fitzpatrick has thrown for less than 600 yards combined, with two TDs, 7 interceptions, and a sub-50 quarterbank ranking.
However - with Cutler probably out for the season I might need to change my answer to…who you want for Smith?
Sonofabitch.
All I needed was one more five yard pass to Hernandez. Meanwhile Nate Washington put up 40 points on my bench. I’m still in first place, but it would’ve been nice to have a two game lead on everyone.
You have me deepest sympathy.
More shakeups this week. IKN to 2nd place, Oak to 5th. With only 3 games left until the playoffs, this one is going down to the wire.
Also, just a reminder that there are three games this Thursday, so let your lineups early.
I feel ya. My biggest gripe this week of Thanksgiving is that I have too many 100 dollar bills in my wallet.
I’ll take Cruz, he seems to be the “worst” of your receivers. Or I could package Smith with perhaps another receiver for Johnson or Bryant. Even if I win my last 3, I probably won’t make the playoffs; but I’d like to try to win my last 3. Fitzpatrick still has better stats than Smith, so I think an upgrade at receiver will overcome Fitzpatrick’s recent mediocrity. I’ll make an official offer on Yahoo and see what happens.
Hmmmm, Yahoo isn’t letting me initiate a trade proprosal (buttons are grayed-out). Is there a deadline? Some rule I’m missing?
Yeah, the trade deadline was November 18, I think. You can still grab guys off the waiver wire, but otherwise, you gotta dance with the girl that brought you here.
With a win last week, IKN swept me on the season, and may have knocked me out of the playoffs. As noted above, there are games on Thursday, so get those lineups set…
Sheesh. I love Jason Witten, but he couldn’t even break a hundred yards. And all he got was a cheerleader.
Well, at least he got a cheerleader
I’d be in favor of a later trade deadline if we do this league next year. Everyone is a serious player in SDMB leagues, and you won’t see anyone trading Drew Brees for a kicker trades in these leagues.
Of course, Chris Johnson for a kicker might be a fair trade this year.
<DEEPSIGH>I’d take a third-string punter at this point</DEEPSIGH>
I need about 37 points out of Brees, Graham, and Saints D tomorrow night to pull out the win. Feeling pretty good about my chances. Looks like Cliff’s Clavins and London Calling are going to lose, so could be some more shakeups in the standings…
Feel good all you want but keep in mind, my team is on FIRE! You can’t beat us! We have lost 9 match-ups, sure, but we now have two wins IN A ROW!!! Face it, you should just concede the loss now.
It looks like wildcard tiebreakers are done by total points scored, so with you guys within 40 points of each other, this could make for a very exciting finish.
As it turns out, Brees was enough all by himself. He’s got 45.72 points, with 10 minutes left in the game. Graham is also having a big night, with 25 points—but how the hell he got up from that last hit is beyond me.
