A good portion of her time on these boards is spent passing judgment on other posters. I would lean slightly toward aggressive-aggressive.
Not to break up the dance, but all you pitters did was give **octopus **the attention he wanted.
It certainly gave him attention - it sure wasn’t the sort of attention the OP was looking to garner.
I doubt this is a good way to handle allegedly misogynistic posts on the SDMB - Pit the poster, and get laughed at.

Beck is cheap. No offense intended. Get to work on my animated octopus avatar! The specs are somewhere: but to repeat and elaborate , I want an octopus each tentacle has to be a different color like the rainbow to show my support, one tentacle needs a pimp cane, one needs a pipe (though I don’t smoke), one needs a saxophone. Head needs a suitable hat with polka dots and wide brim. And I might want a monocle and cape. Because that’s classy.
You got some smart folks and I’m sure some talented artists. You can make this real.

I think that making people dance makes him happier. Doesn’t matter what steps they’re doing. If they’re pissed, great! If they’re saying he won, great! If they’re showing him appreciation, great!
It’s all attention. It’s all a demonstration that he has the power to influence the world in some small, tiny, pathetic way.
When I say that he’s “winning”, I’m not saying that he’s actually a winner. I’m saying that he’s the three year old who kicks down other people’s block towers because he hasn’t got the wherewithal to make his own block tower. If you can’t build, break.
If you can build, then you don’t generally waste time breaking, because trolling isn’t as fun as, well, pretty much anything that’s actually fun.
So why do I bother to point out he’s winning? It’s not for him. It’s to remind people who are trying to beat him that they can’t beat him - they’re just feeding him.
So you are bumping the thread to tell us all not to give him any attention. That always works.

You got it all wrong. I explained exactly why I respond in the Pit. I refuse to be bullied. You won’t find me fighting or arguing with people in the Pit arbitrarily or capriciously. But yeah, if you personally attack me I have every right to respond appropriately. It’s really simple, I don’t believe a group of bullies should be rewarded.
Ironically, my reasons are explicitly listed and yet sneaky little trolls who like to stir up trouble are the ones projecting and calling me troll.
