That’s just not true. I’m a defender of women’s rights and human rights in general. I also advocate for cetacean and primate rights as well but that’s off topic. But I also advocate for fairness and transparency. I argue against mob justice instigated by vulgar cranks. Process matters. The loudest, most violent, most vulgar, most manipulative don’t deserve to dictate terms to everyone else that they single out and attempt to bully via gaslighting, personal attacks, and encouraging others to socially ostracize.

If the women on this board are saying they feel uncomfortable by certain content posted here surely this should raise concerns. Some board members need to think about what they’re posting and how it might leave other board members feeling.
I agree. I exceedingly rarely participate in threads that deal with sexual topics. I very rarely participate in silly threads like lady x vs lady y. I never start threads that are misogynistic. I don’t make women feel uncomfortable by asking them in a public forum any potentially offensive questions. In private conversation, if I have an established relationship with a person I’ll discuss any matter they are comfortable with.
What I won’t do, is reflexively agree with any member of any group because it’s the socially popular or expected thing. I treat the ideas they propose based on the merits of the idea. I proposed solutions but when the solutions were judged to be less than 100% congruent with what was expected the personal attacks came. I already have a history with a few of those fools due to the exact same dynamic but on other contentious issues. So their nasty response to me was not just straight up dishonest and calculated to paint me as a villain it’s part of a pattern.
Yeah, I want women to feel comfortable. And I went gay and trans people to feel comfortable. And people of different ethnicities as well. But I don’t want a mob of loud, reality shaping, snark mining, malcontents dictating to me or others how we should express support. I also want the more peaceful forums to remain a place where contentious issues can be debated or discussed without the fear of a pseudo Heckler’s Veto being employed.
The Pit, and other places, are being used as weapons to circumvent the rules in other forums by making the social cost of challenging a loud, obnoxious minority’s desired orthodoxy very high.
