A “potty mouth” one. That’s what.
Someone who isn’t lame would use the line, “Do you eat with that mouth?”
Miller was going to get the “Beneficent and exalted” but I know when not to press my luck.
But you are a monkey. QED.
There’s your problem. Well, one of your problems. Miller likes Scotch I think it is. Never send him a PM without linking a gift bottle of Scotch. Otherwise, you just get his secretary.
He doesn’t give a crap about troll tags either.
Say, what did you think about that *almost a warning *you got in ATMB? You think a normal person would have gotten the same note?

Calling other posters “cunts” is a violation of the Pit’s language rules. Please avoid this in the future.
No warning issued.

Well, that probably helps some, but they’d probably prefer if you didn’t do things like make yourself the center of the male-centrism thread.
Nice catch.
I just wish the quote function had been working so that I didn’t have to attempt a manual linked-quote on my phone and fuck it up.
Uh-oh! A typo and a quote out of context! :dubious: Shame!
But funny, do I give myself a “Freudian Slip?” stamp?
I was reading this thread:
https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=856360
and wolfpup posted a link to a really neat picture of the Andromeda galaxy as if it was visible to us as a whole today and it was so cool that I made it my background on my computer to remind myself that we all are boned:
https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=21008496&postcount=8
And if we aren’t boned by this then by the heat death of the universe in just a couple of short years.
But no worries in just another couple of short years say, 10 to the 10 to the 10 to the 10 to the 56 another universe should be along shorty to hear all our complaints.
As Wendell Wagner helpfully pointed out in this post:
https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=21008490&postcount=6
You know, when you put it that way it all seems depressing and meaningless.
But, hey, that is a beautiful celestial image to enjoy and contemplate in the meantime. And thank you for sharing that with me.
But he has that really stretchy body, and eight hollow legs.
It makes me wonder if ancient peoples may have thought of it as some kind of god, The moon moves like the sun so people would have figured it it was a moon eventually, like they did. But the galaxy would have just sat there.
Staring at us.
And judging us.
And if it may have made religions all different and completely changed how societies and cultures are today.
Is this the thread where we debate the question of whether octopus is racist? I have a question for the suspect:
Betsy DeVos, the Republican choice for Secretary of Education, was booed at a predominately black college and allegedly responded that those students “lacked the capacity to understand” her goals. Was this a racist statement or not?
To make it easy, I’ll make it multiple-choice:
(a) Oh no. Had she been booed by stupid white students she would have said the same thing.
(b) Yes.
© Other ____________.
For the sake of this question, assume that the DeVos twat really did make the comment. True, her accuser may be untrustworthy but in any she_said/she_said conflict the percentage bet is to assume the top Trump official is lying.
On another matter, since you appear to be intelligent and sincere, I'll explain why you were laughed at in another thread when you obstinately insisted it was you and not the right-minded rational thinkers who believed in civil rights. Let's start with the ***Stop Torturing Unicorns*** fallacy.
If I hijacked a thread to say that torturing of unicorns was the pressing problem America faces; that we shouldn't worry about the rights of blacks and browns until the torture of unicorns was banned, you'd think I'd lost my mind. Yet you were all upset about somebody denying Nazis their rights.
The rally where an antifa drove their car into a crowd of Nazis, killing one, truly was despicable, but that was an isolated incident. — Oh, wait a minute. *It didn't happen at all!* Is it still the time petite Yvette Felarca shoved the Nazi that has your panties twisted up? Of all the injustices in America, is that shove by a random 7th-grade teacher the key one to focus on? You ignore the enormous injustices perpetrated against blacks ... and then call us hypocrites for not condemning the mowing-down of pedestrians by a deranged antifa driver? Oh wait, that still didn't even happen. Well then, what the fuck were you talking about?
Protest anti-Nazi violence. Stop the torture of Unicorns. Make America Great Again.
.
Oh a quiz! A racist statement? I don’t think calling a group of students lacking in ability, regardless of color, racist. It may be a fact. It may be the students were racist for booing DeVos. I don’t know if she’s racist or the students or some of the students are racist. I’m not a mind reader.
I also don’t care. I’m more concerned about the ongoing attempt to manipulate what is debatable or not by this resurrection of the ancient idea of forbidden language. It used to be called “blasphemy” or “sacrilege.” Now it’s called “hate speech” or “racism.” The goal is the same though. Deprive people the ability to speak and debate freely in order to protect a particular orthodoxy of though.
Here is a better writer explaining the concept. The New Religion Advances by Silencing Opposition - Darrow Miller and Friends
Of course, that’s probably a “suspect” or “forbidden” source, which is yet another fallacious tactic the left employs to silence dissent.
They are all devils!
In real life you can do many things. Thus conjunctions like “and.”
You can be in favor of prison reform, police reform and oversight, peaceful protesting, due process, and civil rights for all. You don’t have to fixate on just the unicorns or the wyverns. Here’s the thing though when YOU are on the side of encouraging violence to suppress fundamental rights YOU are the hypocrite when those tactics backfire. So your clumsy appeal to emotion isn’t going to sway me one bit. It’s a silly attempt to manipulate and deflect from the real problem. The left’s increasingly violent rhetoric and actions.
Ethnic supremacist talk is very harmful. Be it La Raza, Nazis, Aryan Nation, The Nation of Islam, etc. But, in a functioning democracy, legitimizing violent attacks on the press, on assemblies, and on speakers is even more dangerous. You all are beginning to parrot ISIS with your zealotry. All you need is a symbol, a prayer, and a holy day and the cult of PC will be a religion.
You and the rest of the disingenuous left will spin my words. Misrepresent them. Call me names etc. It won’t change the fact that your world view and your powers of analysis are clouded with far too many preconceptions and with that myopia you will continue to behave and argue in a fashion that will have far reaching unintended consequences.
Hi, octopus. Tell me if this is a valid summary of your response.
(1) No, DeVos’ claim that the black students “lacked the capacity to understand” was not racist.
(2) You find SDMB libtards to be hypocrites because they encourage violence against Nazis despite that, as you have been repeatedly admonished, (except perhaps for some fringe antifa supporter) …
you have no cite that any SDMB liberal advocates violence against Nazis.
Have I got it?
10/10 would hate-read again.
BTW, nobody waits for the racist to write “I am racist” in all-caps to conclude that the person is racist.
Your claim that the alleged DeVos remark is non-racist is startling and leads me to withdraw my claim that you appear intelligent. I won’t even try to explain why; the stupidity you show overwhelms. Even a racist, if intelligent, would understand that the claim is racist. The claim is even more bizarrely out-of-touch and pretentiously racist than you’re asking (in the other thread) why the victim of racism doesn’t just move to another country.
So you are, after all, both a disgusting racist and bizarrely stupid. Got it.
