Office 12/2

Best episode in a long time … Michael’s part was the least funny which gives me hope for next year.

Have they announced who the new manager will be? I’m putting my money on Darrell. He and Jim are the only ones with management experience (okay, and Ryan), but Darrell has a successful track record.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a string of guest-star managers (remember Charles?) before they bring in someone permanently.

I didn’t think it was a great episode - the competition with Oscar was just odd and Dwight’s sudden compassion for Pam was definitely out of character.

Loved Erin’s reactions to the China discussion:
Michael: “China is a sleeping dragon…”
Erin: “Oh no!!”

Also her suggestion that they hire someone then kill them for the insurance mony. “I think that’s what they’re doing with me.”

Weird episode.

“Don’t get me started on how coddled the modern anus is.”

Watching it again on Hulu.

“Haven’t you noticed how I never bring up the tour de France around him?”
“Yes!”

“China has the world’s tallest man!”
“Then we can no longer high secret things in high places”

(Quotes presumably mangled)

I agree, this was a really good episode.

I was a huge fan of Dwight’s assistant with the toilet paper splitting machine.

I really liked the interaction between Jim and Pam in the stairwell.

Is that the day laborer he picked up?

Yes, I think it was the same day laborer.

it’s about time someone addressed what a pain it is to be around smug, Mexican gay men

Pam: Does everyone know the pirate code around here?
Creed: I can’t speak it but I can understand it

I saw him in the Hay King episode but didn’t catch where he came from.

What happened to Mose?

I like the teaser. Wacky shit that makes you cringe and laugh at its finest!

Real-life: he’s writing “Parks and Recreation”. In story - they haven’t mentioned. I’d imagine he’s just scared of the big city.

My guess is that Mose is working on the beet farm.

Great episode.

Dwight didn’t feel compassion for Pam. He realized that it was a better long term business decision to ease back a little and figured out a way to do so without looking like a softy.

I think it was made clear that he *DID *have compassion for Pam when he was smiling looking out his rear view mirror at her and Jim embracing. But he was such a dick to that stranger who’s name also happened to be Pam. Dwight’s complicated.

BTB “bring that booty”. I gotta start using that.

It was an okay ep. Does anybody else think that Jenna Fischer is looking a bit haggard around the eyes?

Totally incorrect. He was being compassionate, but he used the ‘bleeding her dry’ excuse to convince himself that he’s still a heartless superior being and not a wussy bleeding heart wuss.
