Don’t worry about Virginia. Most of the areas reporting early are rural. So far, no numbers from Richmond, and only a few from Northern Virginia and the Norfolk / Virginia Beach / Hampton area, which is where most of the Democratic votes are.
Just type “2016 election results” into the search bar. Google updates things every 30 seconds. You can click on the states to see which counties have reported in and which way they voted overall. There are also other stats and poll results. They’ve been doing this since at least 2012; I don’t remember if they were doing it back in 2008 but I think they were. It’s my preferred way of watching the results come in when coupled with an active SDMB thread such as this one.
It is nerve-racking to see Trump with 24 EVs and Hillary with just 3.
MSNBC: HRC did better with White non-college voters than Barack Obama did in 2012, in North Carolina.
Trump’s lead: 40%
Romney won this group by 49%
What I’m hearing is that Clinton/Trump are over/underperforming Obama/Romney in the counties they are ahead in.
Right? Where’d I leave the whiskey?
Based on exit polling on MSNBC, I think Hillary wins NC but might lose OH by a hair.
Well it’s good to know Canada has elections now.
Thanks!
If she wins NC and FL I can go to bed.
This is nervewracking.
I prefer [Bing](National - Search Presidential Results&p1=%5Beleconv+keys%3D%22result/president/US%22+scn%3D%22results%22%5D&FORM=ELRACE)
Checking in to agree. I need a stiff drink.
Way too early to be getting nervous :). Give it a couple of hours before you decide to start panicking - watch the big fat county returns, not the state returns.
If you have access, watch or stream CNN, John King is doing a great job explaining away the apparent early successes for Trump in states like FL & VA, and he was right on the money in 2012.
HuffPo has nice results. They tell more about where each state is in the process: 2016 Presidential Election
Be cool everyone, early FL returns are in the Pensacola area, Dem areas in VA are later to come in. I think she wins FL and possibly NC, if so then it’s party time.
When do other East coast states begin reporting?
it seems odd to me that with electronic voting there should be any delay in results reporting.
very cool, thanks
