* * * ! Official 2016 US Presidential Election Day Thread ! * * *

Who is “you”?

There are still 80 EV on the left coast, but Hillary has certainly underestimated how much this country apparently dislikes her.

so far trumps won almost every state we thought he was going to in the south and Midwest… but theres still a ton of still counting states and I don’t think the ca polls close for another hour in a half

It isn’t her (okay, it’s somewhat her) it’s that lot’s of Americans hate Muslims and Mexicans and blacks and crime and thinking and this has been evident for many years but y’all have done sweet FA to counteract it.

You reap what you sow.

Sadly every other country on Earth is collateral damage because even if Clinton wins the democrats will take the results as a message and move to more of a Trumpish position.

You guys were already stupid right-wing and you’re just going to move farther even if you don’t Trumpify yourselves.

America…what a country!

I blame the fact that Americans very rarely give Dems three terms, and I blame the media for giving Trump billions in free airtime and turning this into a close race it never should have been.

I am?

55 electoral votes in California. 55 electoral votes in California. 55 electoral votes in California…

If I weren’t breastfeeding, I’d be liquored up right now.

Uh, I don’t think you understand where that referendum took place.

Can you commit suicide with Ambien?

Hmm…Wang is worried he might be eating a bug soon.

I think I’m taking a break for a while. You guys are real downers tonight. I’ll be over on ar15.com reading their thoughts.

A bit of Jack Daniels never hurt anyone.

This is sickening. Even if she ekes out a win, which I am seriously beginning to doubt, she won’t have any kind of mandate and will probably be unable to get anything done.

I really don’t think tonight is the time to lecture Americans about how evil we are. Many of us are heartsick and terrified.

In the world man! Be proud of it. America has been working really hard to achieve this since at least Reagan.

I admit it, I’ve already been wrong about one major thing: I thought that Clinton would out-perform the polls because she was the ‘safe’ candidate. But that’s apparently not happening.

How long before we trust the pollsters again?

This is bad. Hillary is maybe in trouble. The rust belt states are all under-performing. Yes, there are a lot of votes left to count but I thought she would be further ahead in those states early.

It’s a disturbing trend. I’m wondering now about a discrepancy between voters too embarrassed to tell pollers they would be voting Trump, and then once in the privacy of the booth, pulling the trigger.

I have before, on occasion, questioned the collective wisdom of the American electorate. I have never, until now, questioned its’ sanity.
