I think we all underestimated the antipathy people everywhere have for “the establishment”, or whatever you want to call it. It should be a wake-up call for everybody. A sexual predator reviled by a significant percentage of his own party might actually win. The Republicans are adrift and fractured, and they still might take the White House.
