If I could watch, it would be CNN. As soon as I’m out of here I’ll be opening the wine, and tuning in. Hopefully Anderson Cooper will be reporting tonight.
I hardly every say this, but … yay, band practice is cancelled. I get to slog it out with MSNBC/CNN/FOX all night long.
But first … I think I’ll go vote. For Ms Clinton and a few choice referendums, chief of which is the legalization of recreational use of marijuana and I still don’t know how I’m going to vote on that one. Maybe a few bong-hits will clear my head.
Just got an email from CNN saying that the CNN live streaming election coverage will be open to everyone for 12 hours starting at 4:00 PM this afternoon.
In an amazing coincidence, red districts don’t seem to have a problem with voters standing in long lines. Science is at a loss to explain the phenomenon.
Do you mean “receipts” as in a paper record of who you voted for? I thought those were supposed to be illegal, on the basis that they could be used as a way of voter fraud (i.e., someone pays people to vote for Candidate X, but that they have to show the receipts as proof) or as voter intimidation (“Son, you better show us your voter receipt that you voted for the right guy or we are not paying for your college tuition anymore.”)
The judge of elections at my district was talking about this this morning. The polls close at 8 pm here (I’m in Pennsylvania) but anyone who is already in line at 8 pm is allowed to vote. She said she would have to actually stand at the end of the line and chase off anyone else who tries to get in line.
