I just got a hot update from supervenusfreak about a major spoiler from the live feeds. As pretty much everyone knows, Erika won the Head of Household competition last night. However…
because of a technical glitch (remember when Howie’s sign didn’t light up until last even though he was pushing the button), they replayed the whole comp. JANELLE won! Erika’s about as pissed off as she can possibly be. This is a major upset they’re going to have to explain on Sunday night…
Also, there’s some speculation from houseguest behavior that (Coup d’Etat spoiler) Danielle won the Coup d’Etat.
It’s going to be a verrrry interesting week in Hamster Haven…
Wow, that’s a huge change. I don’t complete get the Coup d’Etat as I tend to glaze over when Julie is rambling as everything gets so sing-songy with her. It sounds like the Coup d’Etat negates the nominees the HoH put up. Which pretty much negates everything that is good about being HoH. ('cept the room and immunity).
There’s no way for anyone to know that Danielle has won the coup d’etat. As far as I know, they aren’t told when they guess whether or not they got it or not. She made a decent guess, but the only people who know if she won it or not are the people running the game. Anything beyond that is just smoke being blown up various asses, likely in an attempt to discourage them from guessing themselves.
It not only negates the nominees, but replaces the current HoH with the Coup-holder, allowing the current HoH to be put up, I think. So it appears to negate the immunity as well.
Danielle’s Coup d’Etat guess was really lame. She saw the sheep and thought about the cloned sheep, Dolly. From that she thought the clue was “DNA” and she guessed the phrase, “Do Not Assume.” The other HG’s haven’t guessed yet and Danielle’s WAG is so extropolative and off the wall that it’s not very likely to be correct. I think the sheep clue probably the much more mundane “ewe,” meaning that first word is probably “you.” My own guess is that the phrase is going to be “You are the new Head of Household” (or something similar) and that Danielle was just really overthinking it and outsmarting herself. I could be wrong but I’d be amazed if Dani’s gues was right. It wouldn’t surprise me if Janelle ended up winning the CDT. Say what you want about her, she’s damn good at comps.
[spoiler]The logic she used to arrive at the DNA guess was pretty flaky. The houseguests named the sheep “Dolly” and that was the name of the first sheep to be cloned. Thus her logical leap to “DNA”… but if “Dolly” wasn’t the “official” name of the sheep, there’s no way to make that leap, as the BB producers couldn’t know what the houseguests would name the sheep.
That said, I do think “Do Not Assume” is a good guess, and I would love for Danni to win the CDT… [/spoiler]
The winner receives the ability to overthrow the HOH and replace his/her nominations with his/her own just before the vote, but the winner is not allowed to tell anyone what the power is until he/she uses it.

Two other clues have been a spool of thread and a grim reaper. After seen the spool of thread, Boogie guessed “Reap what you sow,” and started going bonkers thinking he’d won when he saw the reaper. Then he said he thought he might have botched it by saying “Reap what you sow,” instead of “YOU reap what you sow.” After he told Janelle that, Janelle ran into the DR and offered the corrected guess just to be sure. No word yet on whether it’s correct.

Danni wins the Veto competition when ChillTown (and James) throw the competition so she’ll win. Danni takes herself off the block and thru a lot of campaigning, ChillTown convinces BlondeBimbo to put Marcellas on the block. He immediately enters whine mode. We also get to see (well, we don’t see anything good) the ChillTown boys frollicking in the shower with Erika and BlondeBimbo as the girls try and sway them and they boys know it and just play along to see boobies. Also, the apparent “shomance” between Boogie and Erika is fleshed out a bit.
Who do you think will win the Coup de Ta? I think Boogie’s guess is closest so far.
Yeah, I think Janelle made a bad decision there. It should be obvious to her now that James is her next biggest enemy after Danielle. I really liked both Janelle and Danielle in their respective seasons, but I much prefer Janelle in All-Stars. Hopefully she’ll be able to win veto if she’s on the block next week, or perhaps the coup de tat. I’m also enjoying Will and Boogie more than I thought I would, so I’d like to see them stick around.
All I can say is that Marcellas needs to go. I disliked him for his treatment of Amy from his first appearance, but his duplicity and skankiness are overwhelming this go-round. I hope they decide the Marcellas thrill is gone and dump him while they have the chance. Besides, I’m still pulling for Erika to win it all.
After Marcellas they need to get Boogie out of there. The Will-Boogie phone call bit was funny once. Now it just indicates how dull this season’s people really are. It was almost sad to see the good players from earlier seasons doing their parts in the veto competitions. Made me even miss Scott – something I would have denied the possibility of back when they were selecting the All Stars. Nicole, Hardy and Jack were highlights of their seasons. OTOH, I could have gone a lot longer without being reminded of Jun, April and Cappy.
Somehow the stakes in this season, plus the familiarity with the other players, have made this competition way too cautious. The fun never really got underway for me. Kaysar was playing it way too close to the vest. As has been said, BB is just not his game. But then what is? Nice guys finish last, or at least not out front.
Boring season. I can’t really say I’m pulling hard for anybody. Even Erika, although she’s still my pick.
With the house concensus being “floaters suck, they don’t deserve to win, if your flying under the radar your not playing.” I think a lot of people have it in their mind that they’d like to get themselves and George as the final two.
That way they have a lot more ammo when making their case to the jury. “I came and I played and I put my neck on the line. George was just a warm body that didn’t do anything.”
And Marcellus is being a big baby about Janelle turning on him. “You promised me it was me and you in the final!” Whatever! You really think Janelle is going to do all the dirty work, win HOHs, win vetos, while you sit back and ride her coat-tails?
She’ll throw you to the curb when she wants to biotch.
Janelle may be the best Big Brother player EVAH! but this season she seems to have lost her brain. Stupid, stupid nominations. Totally misplaced trust in ChillTown. I just shake my head.
I think Will should win this one. He is the sneakiest devil ever to set foot in the Big Brother House. He doesn’t have to lift a finger, win a competition, etc., and yet he pulls all the strings in the house.
I’m rooting for Will to win this one. It’s such fun to watch him manipulate the other HGs. It’s hard to believe they still fall for his mechanations even after seeing him play in his season.
I suspect Marcellas will go tonight, and I will be disappointed if Erika leaves, since she’s the best eye-candy in the house, since I can’t stand the blond bimbo. Marcellas has no reason to complain to Janelle since he was just as ready to throw her under the bus should the opportunity had presented itself to him earlier.
