I had a salmon salad sandwich and some Baken-Ets for lunch. A little later, I went to the3 kitchen to beat my meat. I thought we’d have aspara nikumaki for dinner, and the thinnest beef I can find is still to thick. It needs to be pounded out. Anyway, that’s done and it’s marinating. I’ll go get a bag of Spring mix salad and mix up the dressing/dipping sauce after work.
Cauliflower - The last of a head was in the crisper. It’s cut up for supper. I knew you’d all fret till I shared my decision.

whew
wiping sweat from brow
Good golly, Mom, you had me SO worried!

~VOW
Sorry, **VOW **- In the future, I’ll text you immediately upon deciding.
Just about time to set the table and ingest food. Yeah, our dinner time is 5-ish. Has been for years. Deal with it!
FCM, I’ve lived where dinner was usually at 5pm, and in areas where showing up for dinner at 8:30pm was considered unfashionably early. I usually eat between 5-6pm.
flyboy, I trust that your meat has been sufficiently and satisfactory pounded…
Neighbor brought three Hispanic guys who work for him by the house and they just about cleaned me out; the rest goes tomorrow. I’ll try to get posts in from my laptop, since they took my old wide-screen TV that had the main connection (I still have the wires).
So right now I have my kitchen and bathrooms, everything else is packed or going away. I might only have one night in a hotel but it could be a long week while the work is done. I envision lots of time at the library.
Also had the fence people out, but they only removed all the old stuff and put in new posts, with the promise that the fence will get built in “2 or 3 days”. Oh joy.
All y’all take care.
Two or 3 days for that small section of fence? Slackers!
Supper was good. The dishwasher is washing. I’m about to assume the knit position. Chillage till bed.
Not the Comfy Chair!? What about the pointy cushion?
I couldn’t resist, even though I sympathize with your plight. Good to know you’re both home. Praying for recovery for Mr. VOW and for your strength as he does.
We generally eat around 6:30, when Mr.Wrekker is home. How and when lunch was consumed determines the time. I do better with an earlier suppertime. So I eat on my diabetes monsters schedule.
I threw together meatloaf. It’s cooked. I usually smash taters for meatloaf. Not happening today. I pulled corn out of the freezer. Rolls and that’s supper managed.
Mr.Wrekker is in the shower now. He didn’t get far at the lakehouse. He had a broken window. He thinks someone’s been in there. He never leaves valuables there (as in guns or ammo, or fishing gear). So he ran to town to get the window fixed. He doesn’t think anything was missing. Probably kids.
He told me the Vet’s coming here tomorrow to give shots to his kennel. I wish I was gonna be home for that. I would have him look at the Cats and my house dogs. Save me a vet trip.
I’ve perked up some this evening. I’ll be happy to sit in the infusion chair, tomorrow. It really helps to get the IV.
Nice evening, y’all.
Dinner was salads.
Which is actually surprising with a tray of leftover stuffed peppers in the fridge. Those will be tomorrow.
Wonderful news, VOW! Hope Mr. VOW is a good patient for you. Otherwise, just give him a Nurse Ratched look.
Moooom, we always ate at 5:30 when I was a kid. Dad left the office at 5 sharp (though he often returned later) and arrived home at 5:15. I liked having a set-in-stone dinner time.
I couldn’t sleep last night. Woke up to a bad tummy day. I had to go to the gym first thing, though, as it’s weight training day, and I can’t do any rigorous workout within 24 hours of tomorrow’s CT heart scan thingie. Then a friend picked me up to go hiking. The fresh air helped.
I’ve never wanted to betray my ignorance by asking, but what the heck. Swampbear, what does OYKW stand for?
Oy, You’re Kvetching, Woman?
Oh, You Know Who?
Obviously We Keep Kosher?
(I don’t know why the Yiddish when I know you’re Whiskypalian.)
I could mention the stickie at the top of the forum but
Oh You Know Who
or Swampykin’s significant other.
And OW is my wife – the Old Wench.
Yay for Mr.VOW! Hugs
metal mouse, as a veteran of many moves with many books (before most went on the kindle), I second spidey’s suggestion about likker sto’ boxes.
Johnny, I still have a pair of Sorrel Mukluks that my folks outfitted me right before the blizzard of '78. I’ve replaced the felt packs a few times and, given that I’ve lived in the midsouth for the last quarter century, they haven’t been used hard for a while, but they’re still in wearable shape.
Moooooom, join the club in looking for a new dentist. I just got a notice for my six month checkup and I decided that I really don’t want to go back to the one I’ve had since living here. He’s not a bad dentist, but his bookkeeping is stuck somewhere in the mid twentieth century, contemporary Christian or Bro country are playing and he has a downright creepy assistant (his wife).
I irked today. It hovered around 61F in my area. Brrrrrr. The snow flakes were meandering down when I left for irk and when I came home, but no accumulation. I don’t think it got above 35F.
I did swing by a local furniture store to check out a new table. They had one that they could order (deja vu all over again), but it would be three weeks until delivery and delivery wasn’t free ($50). I live four frickin’ miles from the store! That’s bullshit. Wayfair or da Jungle are beginning to look better.
The first is right out, because Swampy’s…(wait for it)…
… GAY!*
The second is pretty close, but I believe it’s actually Ol’ You Know Who, his better half.
Sitting down to type because dinner is on the stove right now. A bit later than normal, but not outlandishly so.

Yeah, Nellie read the stickies (;))
I wanna know what **Spidey **meant by I.N.G.O.?
sorry I was testing photobucket and i meant to delete the link.
I thought i did
I.N.G.O. it never gets old
Howdy Y’all! We’re home from men’s night over to the church house. We had a good crowd and ‘twas fun as usual. We discussed dates for two fish fries (frys?) durin’ Lent. One must plan these things you know. Lent will be upon us before you know it and what’s Lent with a good ol’ fashioned fish fry or two. We also discussed security for the two new lawn mowers to replace the stolen ones are in place. We shall fence in the shed, put up a secure gate, and install a security camera. There was also talk of mines, sentries, cannons, and perhaps a missle launchin’ system.
We get a little weird sometimes.
OYKW = Ol’ Y’all Know Who. Have I mentioned he’s gay? I.N.G.O.
Now I shall see what else teh intartoobz has to offer. Then, beddy bye time.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
No Moat?
Oh, I pounded my meat quite satisfactorily. I wish it was bigger though. The nikumaki came unrolled a little bit, as I put a lot of asparagus in them. Anyway, once Mrs. L.A. put that meat in her mouth, she started perking up from her pre-dinner slump.
too much going on right now i shouldnt be posting
irk is busy, my son finally got out of bed, I need for him to change the ight bulb in the kitchen, the light keeps going out
i also need for him to clean the lint trap for the dryer, i can never get it back in right and it will fall out and get tossed around with the clothes
i forgot i had washed a load of odds and ends, including my hats and gloves, and they need to be dry for tomorrow morning
i also washed the dogs harnesses and leashes
My son needs me to proofread two assignments. I already did one and he needs to make a lot of corrections. It was a real wtf moment for me, usually if it’s a mispelled word or a missing comma, I’ll just fix it.
I had to highlight a bunch of stuff because I couldn’t even figure out what he was trying to say.
I’m hungry, but don’t know what to eat. I finished off the icky meatloaf for lunch, it actually wasn’t so bad after sitting in the fridge
I think the problem may have been the meat. Too greasy.
