Why are you showing me a horizontal penis with 2 crescent-shaped tattoos on it?
Just the basic 3 that come with it, paddle, whisk, and dough hook. But my birthday is in 3 weeks and my fiance’s mom wants to know what attachment I want. I haven’t even thought about it yet. I’m having too much fun with the dough hook.
My stepdaughter, bless her, got me a signed first edition hardcover Weaveworld by Clive Barker. (I got her a Kindle Paperwhite with a leather cover and a gift card to cover any acessories I may have failed to get.)
My best fiend’s wife gave me a grey tuque, and the SO a blue and green one with a matching scarf, that she knitted herself.
My daddy made me a bee hive
Also got a miscellaneous selection of smaller stuff, books, vouchers, and enough chocolate from various relatives to possibly kill.
I have a copy of Winnie Ille Pu!
A four pound lead hammer.
Hey, I got the same sandwich maker! I haven’t taken it out for a spin yet, though. I should precook some sausage tonight, and give it a try in the morning.
I also got Cards Against Humanity, a handmade bed quilt from my mother, new glasses from my HSA, a weight bench, gift card to the local yarn shop, various little things like candy and chapstick.
My favorite gifts were the things people made for me. One sister made me a really cool pillow. My other sister made me a calendar with photos she’d taken throughout the year. Since she travels a lot, she got some really cool shots. I was so touched that I got choked up while flipping through it. But most of the other stuff I got will be going straight to Goodwill.
There must be a law that mandates mothers buy the ugliest clothes off the rack for their grown children. I can’t think of a single clothing item my mother has ever given me for Christmas that I actually liked. I don’t know if this is my fault or hers.
I made ham, cheese, and egg muffins the other day; and ham, cheese, and scrambled and biscuits today.
I toasted and buttered the muffins. I folded the corners of one slice of American cheese to the middle, so that I had a square half-slice and four triangular eighth-slices. I put a muffin into the machine and topped it with the triangles arranged to make a square. I folded an oblong, thin slice of ham into quarters and put that on top; then closed the middle section. Per the instructions, I cracked an egg into it and pierced the yolk and then topped it with the other muffing half, closed the top, and cooked for five minutes. For the second muffin, I used the square half-slice of cheese. Results: Tasty, with crispy muffins.
For the biscuits today, I did the same thing but obviously did not toast the biscuit halves. I also used one scrambled egg per sandwich. Again, the results were tasty; but five minutes is a little long for biscuits. They were a bit ‘done’.
Gotta be debbie downer here, was told that a 1:1 scale nimitz was not available.
Declan
I have a Tamiya 1:350 USS Enterprise that I hope to build one day. (Also a Billings Boats 1:45 Calypso.).
I got a game camera, a tee shirt, impact wrench sockets, a tile cutter (SHE has plans for retiling the guest bathroom), a business card file, and a chance to read “The Night Before Christmas” to my great grand niece and nephew…the best present of all!..pictures were taken, with them in their red jimmies and me in my Santa Claus Hawaiian shirt.
SqueegeeJr gave me a video game, Shadow of Morder. I’m just getting into it, but it’s pretty fun so far.
That’s about it.
Somewhere i have a copy of Petra Cuniculo cum Flopsa, Mopsa et Cauda Linea— predating Harry by many decades. There was even a bunny (for a minute, the cats got him) we called CL.
We got two Heifer International donations, a woodstove top fan thing that maximizes air circulation,
candy, nuts, home made stuff ( the best), and primo- dinner with the fam at our daughter’s with babies, inlaws, outlaws, too much food to mention, and a marvelous feeling of fulfillment.
My DH gave me a serger! I didn’t think I’d ever have one because I already have a regular sewing machine and a new (year ago) quilting machine. But if you’ve ever tried sewing anything silky or stretchy on a regular machine you know it just doesn’t turn out like you intended. It comes with a free class at a local shop. Good thing, because I’ll need help!
SIL got us a big Cuisinart Griller. We’re both doing low carb so it will get lots of use.
Lots of other stuff but those are the biggies.
My kids got me a little crane. It’s actually an engine hoist, but it’s bright red and looks like a miniature crane in the corner of the garage. I’ve already assembled it and threatened to lift up one of their Corollas just for the fun of it.
 You must have been very naughty this year.
I got the usual suspects: Old Spice products, a couple of T-shirts, a set of pliers. My 5 year old son picked out what he got me himself; a screwdriver, a clip light, and a level.
The big gift I got from my wife is a 20V cordless DeWalt drill, with case, charger, and extra battery! It’s got a little light that comes on when you pull the trigger! Hee! I’m hoping to get a few other DeWalt tools to go with it, eventually.
