Hippy that is a great bracelet now and a sweet story from way back when. Had a similar bracelet myself back in the day though never had a girl who would want it. Sigh. A wasted youth if ever there was one.
I now have a simple gold bracelet about like this one:
The difference is mine was cheaper, came from a tourist shop I found on a layover in Cancun, and has a slogan engraved on it in plain block capitals that are filled with black enamel to stand out:

On a subsequent stay at the same hotel I found a matching one for Her Ladyship

Sari, hope you can get that leg working right again. Puppies underfoot and a gimpy adult human → crippled human and injured puppy. Not a good combo. Two puppies would be serious cuteness overload, but also serious everything else overload. Best of luck reaching the right decision; whichever one that is. 
FCM that is a fine looking boat on top of the water. Which is so much better than when the water’s on top of them.
As a former boater myself I enjoy watching several channels of YouTube dedicated to boating fails. Near here we have some notoriously dangerous inlets/outlets where hijinks ensue at every turn of the tide. Some of which vids are bad boaters boating badly (usually drunk, clueless, or both). But many are yard crane accidents, yard cribbing failures, etc. Whole lotta ways for stuff to go impressively expensively wrong. Best not to watch those if you can avoid it. There’s something inherently funny about a biggish boat laying on its side in a parking lot.
As long as it’s not yours.
Flyboy, congrats on SWMBO returning safely & eagerly. And to fine dining too. Shame the stain doesn’t dry faster. Soon enough it’ll be done and she’ll be overjoyed.

Costa Rica is awesome. Can recommend. Better for a hiker or outdoorsperson than somebody seeking an inclusive beach resort or city fine dining & museums.
