Sounds like Mumper pets are planning to open their own bar.

I like the idea of Nelson slinging Tennessee Whiskey in a Nashville dive bar.

He does sing to the theme of All Things Considered and a few other songs, plus he’s accompanied me to a couple of dog friendly pubs.He takes after his father like that.

Name days are big in the orthodox world as well.

I don’t get one anymore. I like to think I sinned enough that the Catholic Church went to the extreme of decanonizing a guy just to keep me at arm’s length.

ETA - someone asked last week about enlisting hospice assistance to convince MIL to be cautious. HAH! The hospice nurse told her flat-out to tell us every time she wants to get up so we can be with her. She ignored him just like she ignores us. I had to stop her three times yesterday from going to the kitchen alone. Worse than a toddler…

I once enlisted my 8 year old niece to sit on Mom’s lap when she wanted to help mop up a spill in the kitchen. Yeah, she was blind, walked with a walker and had dementia, so the last thing she needed to do was be on her feet on a wet floor.

The magnolia blossoming is (thankfully) over and now for my favorite, honeysuckle. There’s one kind on the fence that smells wonderful this time of year and another at the front of the building that perfumes us later in the summer.

I don’t have any flowering plants on the patio, given that I’m in nearly full shade. Stuff like ivy and herbs do fine, but flowere, tomatoes and peppers do not.
