(Old) Autumn Equinox - changing colour in the MMP

My Ben and Jerry’s fav.s are, vanilla fudge caramel, cherry Garcia, and mint cookie. In an actual ice cream emergency, karamel sutra and americone.

I don’t like a lot of things in my ice cream.

Good evening all. Soccer has been coached (8 year olds can be a real chore, even for an hour) and am currently working my way through a DQ triple cheeseburger and fries. Need to do a braunschweiger run tomorrow, the expiration date was today and I still have a tube left unopened, first time in several years that I miscalculated like that. One reason is that I’ve added hot dogs and pancakes to the usual menu items and that has squeezed some of the sammiches out of the mix. Will try to do better this time.

Flyboy, I still have my old high school letter jacket, haven’t tried in on in decades (since I knew i wouldn’t fit) but with my weight loss I’m wondering if I should try it…

JtC, think you will have some fantastic viewing there come October.

FCM, I try to watch the expiration dates, but now and then I’ll pour something and no fizz. Like you, I drink it anyway but not as good.

cookie, can’t help in interpreting dreams but hope that leave you alone soon. And good luck in reducing the clutter; I suspect you’ll need it.

Sari, some extra virtual scritches to Misiu. And staying out of the quarrel is a smart move.

rocky, glad the podiatrist found that, could have developed into something serious.

Sticky Buns, all appropriate appendages crossed for the job.

Coppertone, Yay indeed!!!

FCM, some people just need to be in a tizzy; glad you can remain level-headed in all this (albeit frustrated as heck). Good luck on the yarn.

Oopsie, hope the other pet mom is ok, I’d have to say that’s a pretty valid reason for breaking an appointment. And keep an eye on that pain, body may be trying to tell you something (this from a guy who ignores whatever his body is telling him…).

Well, for gentlefolk like you, it stands for “Fellow” as in ‘Big Ugly Fat Fellow’ However, to most of us plebians, a slightly more Earthy word that begins with F is used…but I suspect you know that… (And I see flyboy beat me too it but I’m too lazy to erase it.

Yeah, noticed that too; seems like a lawsuit would be coming out of something like that, if not actual charges.

shoe, good luck on the dress front. And never had any Ben&Jerry’s as far as I can remember, may have to try that Phish Food.

Whew, think I’m caught up. need to put some things that are in places in other places and finish the day’s internetting, so all y’all take care.

He’ll go out for a week at a time. This is pretty normal for our entire relationship. The last 9 or so months of him being at home was not the norm.

Shame. Shame. Shame.

I’m glad that you figured it out! I thought it was a case of a Macarena gone bad!

And you, too!

But, apparently God is punishing me for my Costco mention last week. Guess why? I got a return call this morning from the knee doctor saying that my gel injections hadn’t been approved yet. This evening I contacted my insurance online and they said that they had never been submitted for approval since September 9th. :rage::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

MetalMouse - charges? You just had to, didn’t you?

And FWIW, the electrocutions happened over a series of years in different places before the cause was determined. I wasn’t being heartlessly casual - just relating the facts as I understood them, horrific as they are.

And BBBoo, you’re on The List! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d love to put filters on BIL’s devices but apart from not knowing how, I don’t like to spend any more time than necessary around him.

For you heathen barbarians who’ve never achieved Nirvana, this is the loveliness I mentioned.

The marshmallow swirl is the best part. I used to dig through for that, and the fudge fish, and end up with a weird tornado shaped ice cream remant.

Has this flavor come to a store near you yet?

Might as well call it “Special Order for shoe!

Up from naptime. I did have a few foot cramps during my sleeping. Now I’m up, having an Old Fashioned and a cheeseburger with fries.

Yeah. Likely an empty CO2 bottle and they didn’t stop the line. In 30 years of retail I’ve seen empty toothpaste tubes, bags of potato chips, and other assorted things(including an empty can of beer that I still have) make it all the way to the shelf.

Glad they got it fixed without amputation.

“Orion Trace” is a computer mapping system. Which tends to send the package car past your house 3 or 4 times before delivery.

Yay and unyay!

Spot sympathizes.

We get it Friday.

Pics?

As I said the first time I encountered a THC cartridge … what a magical time to be alive!!

Sure.

Do you all want to know how OCD I am with numbers and percentages?Well I have mentioned before my cat Atilla. He is very old, the only pet I’ve ever had whose exact birthday is known to me. So I counted the number of days since her was born, and me as well.

In two weeks I will have been serving my cat for 25% of my life. I am almost seventy, so saying that really means something. It’s not like an eight year old kid, with a two year old pet.

Atilla still seems pretty healthy. He gets Science Diet and twice a year checkups at the doctor. He can jump onto my bed or the couch easily. And I’m dreading the day when he seems to be failing. I saw him in my backyard the day he was born, with his little eyes shut tight. And he does get along with Mauser the dachshund. Why do pets have such short lives? Sigh.

WEIRD AL AND PUDDLES PITY PARTY ARE COMING TO RALEIGH!!!1ONE!
And in lesser news, up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave.

kinda toga-esque. wear matching bra and panties, and you’ll be fine.

Tell me about it. But glad Atilla is still kicking.

Oh I haven’t seen that comic in forever. Our paper dropped it, and that is where my cat’s name came from!

Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 12c/53f with a predicted high of 14c/57f, and mostly cloudy. Weather app says “The weather could only get fucking worse if al the clouds were filled with shrieking fucking hippies.” Fair assessment, it’s actually quite pleasant out there.

I’m sorry you are in this situation - sometimes you can’t do anything more than listen when they rant, sympathise with both sides equally, and hope they work it all out.

Fingers crossed for you!

Mooom hopefully MIL will forget about BIL and the driving licence. Sounds like a bad idea all round.

Yesterday was a productive irk day at home, and I managed to unload lots of info onto my new minion. I took an hour out in the morning to take Shadow to the vet for his thyroid check-up. They have some folks on holiday so we saw a vet who usually works at one of their other branches, nice chap too. He said that Shadow was fine, his thyroid levels are perfect, his heart’s good and his weight is stable. He does have the start of arthritis in one leg/paw so he’s given me some treatment options. One of them is a new monthly injection that would cost £70 but the good news is that I can get him a free shot if I book before the end of the month. I am going to book him in for next Monday as I’m off work, and we’ll see if it makes a difference for him.

After logging out of irk, I did some administrivia then made chilli for dinner. I also had to bag up the rubbish and put the bin out because (calling JtC!!) it’s rubbish day today. In fact, I heard the dustcart come round before I was even out of bed today. So I have had a couple of cups of tea, a bit of toast, and I’ve ventured outside to haul the biiiiiig bin back to where it lives.

Irk today, then campus food prep, and grocery shopping later. 'im indoors is providing dinner tonight, I think it’ll be leftover pulled poke and something, no idea what but that’s not my problem.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 91 and N.O.S. for the day. Since it will get rainy here possibly tomorrow and for sure on Thursday, stuff will get done today. OYKW will hang at da cave and deal with laundry. I shall betake myself over to the church house to deal with candle and other duties and then go to the Pubic Sto’ to procure provisions. We don’t need much in the way of provisions so that won’t take too long. However, the executive decision was made to have shrimpies ‘n grits for sup, so I shall get us some steamed shrimpies (Cajun style!) whilst there. Needless to say the afternoon will be spent achievin’ nappage, day drinkin’ and other RDOS inactivities.

Oopsie hope your elbow is feelin’ better this mornin’. The necklace is purty!

JtC gettin’ blood drawn has never bothered me. However, there is no way I could sit for a couple of hours gettin’ stabbed over and over again, so no tattoos here.

shoe fear not. It was only the last quality cee-mint pond time of this year. Rest assured we will be back May of next year. Although I do on occasion threaten to drain it and fill it with dirt. I like me some B & J Phish Food.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and bother, I suppose I must needs purtify and don acceptable attire for bein’ amongst the great unwashed. Le sigh.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Really? You’re not going to wait to see what specials will come tomorrow? What if…?

I saw on Next Door that someone was offering housecleaning services - for $80/hour!!! Either it was a typo, or he wasn’t serious and just posted the ad so he could say “See - I advertised, but no one booked me”, or he truly thinks that highly of himself.

If the weather sites are to be believed (hahahahahaha - I made a funny!!!) we should be able to move the boat this morning without being rained upon, The plan is to take MIL along while I drop off FCD so he can putt-putt the boat from one side of the creek to the other while I drive to meet him and catch the lines and help him tie up. Then we’ll tanke MIL to lunch.

Then I’ll need to call Medicare before we give her the “bad” news. She’s had health insurance thru FIL’s work based on some sort of class action thing years and years ago. But apparently that ride is over and all she has is Medicare. But from what I read, Hospice care is completely covered under Part A, so she loses nothing by losing that insurance. I want to confirm that all is good before we drop this into her lap. She constantly worries about health insurance (understandable in this country) but it looks to me like Parts A & B have her completely covered. Medicare Advantage isn’t available here. She was offered COBRA in place of the canceled plan, but it’s $$, especially if Medicare covers everything.

FCD thinks we should just go with COBRA, but apart from the horror stories I’ve heard about that, I think it’s just tossing money into a pit for no reason. So today I’ll do my best to get answers, like he should have before he enrolled her last night. Sometimes the man makes me crazy.

I also got the answers for BIL - we’ll see if he’ll accept what I tell him, which will be exactly what FCD has been telling him. So I have that to look forward to.

I’m really not that crabby - it’s overcast and dreary and that’s affecting my mood. Truly, I’m all sunshine and roses and candy and stuff. Tra-la-la-la!!

Happy Tuesday!

Doggio, essentially the driver told us the same thing. That is completely ridiculous. I’ve got a package showing up today. It will be interesting to see when mine gets here.

Speaking of ridiculous, the doctor’s office got back with me already which was nice, but the message was that the pre-approval paperwork was not submitted until the 18th even though my visit was on the 9th.

Whatever.

SIL set me up with a video call with Tobias this morning - they promised him that to get him to go to bed last night. That’s bad. Daughter caves to him - it’s only going to get worse. I talked to SIL about it this morning, but they have to deal with it themselves. I won’t tell them how to raise their kids, even tho I have all the answers.

Morning all! It’s gray and soggy and drippy outside and I’m loving it. It’s the perfect day to snuggle up in a fluffy sweater and stitch for hours. I should put coco on my shopping list, hot chocolate always tastes better on days like today.

The big bin has been emptied and I’m finishing up my coffee before heading to the pool.

Yeah, the one on the right is not white. The pictures did show women in pants, perhaps that might suit you better? Just make sure the fabric can be tie-died afterwards so you get more use out of it.

Considering her mental state these days…I wouldn’t tell her. Why upset her with things she can’t change. All that will happen is that she will get scared and keep asking you the same questions over and over.

I’m hearing thumping and banging, it sounds like the herd of rampaging hippos is awake so I better get my gym bag packed before a cat ends up in it.

you may get a french scolding if you wear the dress nearest the fridge…

That was my first inclination. FCD’s, too. I don’t know - it’s probably the best, but should she find out down the road, the proverbial doo-doo could hit the fan. I should leave it up to him. But I do think I’ve convinced him that there’s no need for COBRA.

Boat-moving isn’t happening today. It was raining, so he headed down to do some work onboard. (There’s always something to do) and I’ll take MIL to visit with BIL while I try to get him straightened out. Then I’ll run to JoAnn’s to get my yarn and NOT get my scissors sharpened. :stuck_out_tongue:

I took a bag of pulled poke out of the freezer for supper.

BTW, we decided to move the boat on Firday. Daughter will be here with her grandmother while we have an appointment with our money guy, and we’ll run to the marina afterwards. So that takes care of that. Unless we get a major storm on Firday (Not in the forecast at the moment.)

MIL is up - I guess she’s getting dressed. I’m just in stand-by mode.
