Happy Moonday!
Chilly this morning, but it warmed up nicely.
I didn’t wake up until 1030, I suppose I needed sleep.
I’m saying I’m better, even though there is a bit of stuffiness and an occasional cough.
It was another mostly slothful day today.
I have a list of about 20 things to do and exactly three got done.
I have some bills due, but it gives me a headache to think about paying them. Even though the money is there to pay them and it’s only a few clicks on the computer to do so.
My poor dogs are bored out of their minds. We didn’t go to the park for a week while my son was sick. We went one day, and then didn’t go for another week because I was sick.
They had a little excitement today as it was nail trimming and ear cleaning day, but that is not the kind of excitement they like.
Good thing today? The weather was nice and sitting outside in the sun felt really good. I usually don’t like to sit in the sun, but it always makes me feel better after I’ve been sick. I’m sure it’s all in my head, but it feels like the warm sun dries up the sinuses and clears out the lungs.
MetalMouse, you really should have a Life Alert or something.
My friend in rehab (RF), after laying for 3 days before the EMTs rescued her, is probably never going home. It does a lot of damage to your body to be stuck on the floor with no food or water for a few days. And, TMI, it does the carpeting no good either.
You’re not 18 anymore, you’re not going to recover quickly.
Of course, I’ll never say anything to (RF). I found out through a mutual friend (D) that RF has not been telling the truth so much. I think she is living in denial.

If the knee injections you get as the same kind I get, they work great. I thought I was going to faint the first time I got one. The thought of a needle in the knee actually had me shaking. It’s uncomfortable, but not so bad, and I am a big wimp when it comes to pain. Very Big Wimp!
Ooopsie, I have had jury duty more times than I can count. Baltimore had One day/One trial, whichever was longest. I got it pretty much every other year. Boring. Very, very boring, unless you are picked. I never was. Most of the time, nobody was.
I remember reading a very long time ago, that a college education was very prized among recent immigrants. There was more prestige to having a child who was a school teacher making $25,000/year than a child who was making $40,000/year as a plumber. Kind of illogical, but the way it was. Image was important, and somebody who wore a suit and tie to work got more respect than somebody who wore jeans.
I can understand why so many people thought college was the better option. Sitting at a desk in the AC sounds a lot better than physical labor in the heat or cold.
I get it. I don’t agree with it, but I get it.
