That’s a shame that your mom can’t go with you. I’ll bet the two of you would have much fun people watching together.
I suggest to hubs that we go and buy a ring, but he’s been doing a lot of long distance driving recently and is getting tired.
I knew you would like the glasses
I hope your root canal went as well as something like that can and that you aren’t hurting now.
You are winning! congrats
wouldn’t, even! But yeah, if we saw a newer looking car chugging up the I17 at 40 mph, we were never surprised to see the Florida plates.
I don’t know if Maryland drivers know about mountains or not. All I know about them for sure is that they do random, unexpected things without seeming to be aware that there are other cars, buildings, trees, etc. around them.
You are an excellent father who is raising good and confident children. You deserve much praise for that.
I am so sorry. I’ve been looking forward to being able to afford cute glasses for a long time. My lenses were so expensive that I always bought the cheap frames to try to keep the price down. The pair of glasses that broke and started my eye adventures were almost $500 four years ago.
It is so great to be able to buy mass produced lenses and cute glasses for under a hundred bucks a pair.
I don’t know much about dog nutrition, but I’ve learned that cats don’t really digest grain, it just comes out the other end. Grain-free kibble is more expensive but they eat less and poop less. Does limiting grain work the same way for dogs?
Back when I didn’t have a w/d in my apartment, I was living close enough to Mom to take my laundry to her house once a week. Despite enjoying spending time with Mom and Dad, packing everything up and dragging it to there house was just as much bother as going to the laundromat and it took longer.
They don’t make back seats like that anymore. Roomie, well-padded, no middle of the seat hump to deal with.

A friend once said: “People from Maryland drive like they have really good insurance…both medical and auto!”
I shared this with Hubs. We are both in total agreement!
So we had a busy day today. He had a chiropractor’s appointment in Charleston so I went with him and then we went to the good Asian Buffet for lunch. That place shares a shopping complex with the Kroger with the nice fruit so I went in and picked up a dozen white plums. The ones I bought last week were really good and Walking Lady told me that her daughter liked the ones I gave her so I wanted to be sure to get extra.
On the way to the freeway, I saw a farmer’s market and wanted to stop so we found a place to turn around and went back. Hubs is getting much better about that, he’s finally figured out that we are retired and don’t really need to be anywhere on a schedule, so is more willing to stop than he used to be.
We could tell that it was something new, I could smell the new wood. I also confused a couple of the workers by asking how long the Ramada had been there. So, what are those things called on this side of the country? Big covered areas with no walls, suitable for group picnics. (They figured it out by context and were too polite to correct me - it opened on Mother’s day this year)
We bought some yellow tomatoes, half a dozen ears of corn and a quart of peaches. Din will be hamburgers, corn and sliced tomatoes with peaches and cream for desert. WL accepted half of that as well.
We also stopped at Aldi’s for rolls and cheese. Their garlic bread cheese is my current favorite.
Hubs wanted to pet dogs, so I dropped him off at the shelter and came home to deal with the food. He just sent me a text saying he had a ride home, so I’m now enjoying one of his beers. It took him quite a while to get set up for brewing, but now he’s going strong again.
