(Old) Gobble ‘Til You Wobble, Or Not In The MMP

Farty J. McPoopsalot is especially stinky this evening.

I got distressingly less done at the museum today as I wanted to. Too many calls to fix stuff on the floor.

Howdy Y’all! Been a day of high sloth in da cave. I watched some kolledge tackleball, achieved nappage and day drank. The chili and cornbread were most excellent if’n I do say so myself. VanGo OYKW and I would give Farty J. McPoopsalot a run for her money right now after the chili we et.

MOOOOOOM you are my all time favorite cheap date. Glad Otis is catchin’ on. Hopefully he will be out of that stage soonest.

BBBoo well, I have been some folks first. I have also been some folks best, strangest and weirdest. I like variety.

All y’all dealin’ with snow; better thee than me.

Community Coffee is having a 35% off sale (promo code: HOLIDAY35) so I ordered some coffee six, 32-ounce bags of ground Dark Roast; six, 32-ounce bags of ground French Roast; and four, 32-ounce bags of ground Café Special (medium roast).

Waves at everyone. It’s late and three days of feasting has me wanting to spend the next week in a food coma so all I have is this:

The difference between a graveyard and a cemetery is that graveyards are attached to a church and are secular. Cemeteries don’t have a church attached and usually have non-secular management/owners.

I never thought of it that way. I thought that ‘cemetery’ was just a more ‘sensitive’ word than ‘graveyard’; like ‘passed away’ instead of ‘died’.

I napped. Spot napped with me. Now I’m up, and having a Vieux Carré. Dinner tonight is leftover turkey and sweet **N.O.T.**s, with some Stove Top stuffing, cheesy broccoli, and Ocean SprayTM Jellied Unholy Fruit Obelisk.
N.C. State just crushed UNC 42-19. SUCK IT, BELICHEAT!

[Letterkenny]Pitter patter, let’s get at 'er.[/Letterkenny].
But don’t use up all your spoons.

Unholy Fruit Obelisk
Band name!

My extended family celebrated Thanksgiving today. As always there was more than enough food and a mountain of dessert.

There would have been even more dessert but I had an accident. I was bringing stuff out to the car and dropped my special dessert. It was a chocolate cake with cherry filling and real whipped cream. None of that Cool Whip. So I had to pick up some of the mess and then go back into my place to change as I had whipped cream all over my pants. I had been looking forward to showing it off but noooooooooooo. It wasn’t as if there weren’t plenty of pies.and I also had a chocolate pecan. There was cherry and apple and coconut meringue. Also chocolate fudge,

I say our family dinners prove the miracle of the loaves and the fishes as there is almost as much to take home as was brought. I have some turkey, some ham. mashed portatoes and creamed corn along with layered lettuce salad.

Awwwww! Annie knows a good thing when she sees it.

I must have missed the acquisition of your newest feline overlord. Congrats!

I’m claiming this as my C-diff nick! Thanks for the chuckle!

I got transferred to rehab last night. !@#$ing insurance! There isn’t anything that they can do for me here until Monday when PT gets here to begin working with me on becoming ambulatory. At least Sis brought me chargers to replace the ones lost in transit.
Later y’all!

It takes a LOT for us to close early. Hell, we worked by cellphone flashlight the night the power went out. (“Y’all look like you’re being robbed.”)

G.M. called at 9.:30 and basically said, “Start shutting it down, I want you closed at eleven.”

YES MA’AM!

Here’s a pizza round scotch-taped to the drive-thru window.

Allie went to the Bridge on the 18th (as far as we could tell, it was just age, since she was 15). Not long before that, the UCDS had sent a female orange kitten (name still being figured out) our way, so we’re still a two-cat family. Buddy seems to be OK with the kitten when she’s in a calmer mood, but doesn’t have huge amounts of patience for turbo-mode.

And that means Nelson can visit too? Glad to see you back here and on the mend.

Today we’re putting away the halloween/fall decorations and getting out the Christmas stuff. Decided to skip the town’s Christmas market - already have a bunch of treats from our trip to Amsterdam (including some Remeker cheese which is bathed in ghee made from the same milk).

Lunch will be fajitas - I started the chicken marinating yesterday so it should be yummy. Got some Manchego in the fridge.

Hmm. I have Dutch, French and Spanish cheese in the fridge. Not sure I have any type of Swiss cheese at the moment.

Evenin’ all.

The weather god were decent for the St Andrews St Andrews event. A little chilly, but dry and not windy, meaning street ceilidh, bagpipe parade and beach fireworks all went off to plan.

The ceilidh was pretty entertaining- they call the moves at the start of the dance, then basically let people figure it out as it actually plays. I’ve been to plenty indoors, but this was free entry, in a city full of students, maybe of whom are international. There was a solid chunk of people who couldn’t really understand the instructions (‘ballroom hold’ is not on the language test) and couldn’t see the stage, plus everyone was squished in like sardines, so when you were supposed to take 2 steps back you could only take about 1/4 of a step half the time, then add in a few people trying to carry beers through the middle of the dance and a couple of people just dancing to their own beat and not even trying to follow directions. It was basically an unusually bouncy friendly mob, to music.

I need to catch up on defilthifying the place today, though it is sunny and I would quite like to be outside.

Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 6c/42f with a predicted high of 10c/49f and sunny. Weather app says “The fucking sun is talking trash behind your fucking back.”

Cookie sitting by tree-light and watching snow fall does sound very calming and peaceful. I hope it continues to work for you.

Sticky Buns I forgot to say yesterday that Annie looked very comfortable on her new jammies!

Good to hear that T-Day went well for you all, your visitors and travellers. We had a good last day at WinterStorm, we popped in for the first band of the day, then went for lunch and a walk. We went back via the Harbour Bar which supplies beer (and staff) for the festival’s cask ale bar. Had a couple of beers, watched the band we planned to see, then saw a bit of the next one because we were sitting having a natter to some folks.

We ended up staying longer than intended after finding more people to talk to! We called in at another bar on the way back, then the Indian takeaway place, and were home by midnight.

Check-out time is in half an hour, then lunch on the way back to Largs and a couple more days with ‘im indoors’ mum.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 47 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 70 and cloudy. The big item on today’s agenda is deheathenization in which I get to plop in a pew. It’s also the first Sunday in Advent for those keepin’ score. The rest of the day will be spent in high RDOS inactivities. Any need to feed today will be via forage.

red at least you got the move over with. Hopefully Nelson can come visit today. I know he misses his mommy as much as you miss him.

CupCakes YIKES! Sorry about the cake especially since I am sure you worked really hard to make it. On the plus side, you weren’t hurt except for your feelin’s. I think the general rule of food at family get togethers is to make everything, look at it, then decide you need twice as much.

BooFae safe travels today.

MetalMouse safe travels for you as well.

Nuts that sounds like a fun, if crowded, celebration. Glad you had a good time.

shoe hope you got home before the storm hit.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today Morning cleaning, aafternoon sloth, handegg, and hockey on tap for today. Along with a nap somewhere, since we start at midnight on Monday(Hello Peak Season!)

It is currently 34 degrees Ferret Height(1.1 Centipedes), with rain on and off. So I would quite like to stay inside.

Winter weather closing a Michigan business? that’s like a Waffle House closing. Stay safe.

Your stomach is about to become a Schengen Agreement of fromage

Celtic moshpit.

Sorry about the cake mishap, Cupcakes

I got 7 hours of sleepage, slightly broken by waking long enough to look at the clock and decide it was too early (first number was 4, so too early.) I finally crawled out of bed because my bladder insisted. But that’s OK - it was a good sleep.

The temp rose a bit overnight, so I woke to 33 Ferrets, creeping up another 10 more Ferrets with a 60% chance of rain. A good day to stay inside. I think I’ll give my spider plants severe haircuts. There are too many dead leaves and waaaaaay too many babies. I’ll find a planter for the variegated ones and toss the rest because I have too many plain green ones. I know I have potting soil but I need to find a pot or two.

I may help FCD in the shop - not sure what he’s doing today. I suppose I could always sweep up sawdust. He got most of the pieces of the butterfly hatch cut yesterday - I’ll try to get a pic today - it’s rough because he didn’t round the outer edges but it still looks good.

So, I’ll do some stuff today, but nothing too strenuous. Certainly nothing to put my RDOS status in doubt. Happy Sunday!!

What snew? Well, the snow did, and it’s still coming down. It’s the last day of November, and tomorrow is December. Our HOA’s landscaper, Sodfathers, was out in the middle of the night clearing driveways and porches.

In the 20s this morning. It’s supposed to hit single digits tonight and possibly subzero by Wednesday night. The apartment heater is on full, but I may have to crank up the portable as well.

We got the tree decorated yesterday, the creches are out, and all the Santas are hanging out together. I’ve invited a couple of my kids to come over with their kids to make cookies in the next couple of weeks.

Onward to breakfast!

Cleaning is proceeding. Since it’s the First Sunday of Advent, I’m listening to Gregorian chants(4th Sunday is rage cleaning to Slayer. \m/–\m/)

The second best lawncare name, after “Four Seasons Total Landscaping”.
