(Old) Going bats in the MMP

Evening all. Soccer (at least the ‘regular’ season) is complete and my beard has been painted and then washed (do have pictures, though, will try to get them up in the next day or so). U12 boys won 10-0 (I tried to keep the score down, but I have 5-6 boys who can score at any time and I can’t keep them all off the field or playing defense–7 of them scored today) to finish unbeaten (once tied) going into the Area Tournament. Made it home around 3pm and pretty much have stayed at the computer or watched TV since then; tired I be. Eating Fettuchini Alfredo for dinner, then probably watching tackleball for awhile. Made it to 86F today and is still 77F with the sun down and approaching 7pm–and November almost upon us.

FCM, at least you got some sales for the school; congrats on being patient.

Wheelie, sounds like you did a good job for them, hope they keep using you.

Taters, sounds like it was a wonderful trip. Checked out the pictures and that’s a big contraption you were driving around in!

Flyboy, flags were probably at half-staff for the tragedy in Maine, or else someone local. And hope you get to feeling better, I’m going on a cruise starting 7 November and hope my shots are enough to protect me.

Oopsie, glad you can support your fellow chairperson, but hoping you get some responses to make it worth the hassle.

BBBoo, careful, or you’ll be buying Bowl Game tickets for wherever Nebraska ends up playing (they are 5-3 and pretty much any college team with 6 wins or more goes to a bowl).

VanGo, hope both sales at the gift shop and work at the museum are profitable. Don’t have many leaves in my yard but they do gather at the curb, so may have to bag them tomorrow…or not.

OK, need to finish up and even this early I’m thinking about bed because I’m tired. All y’all take care now.

We got our latest shots a couple of months ago. Wifey, RN says everyone she personally knows who’s been on a cruise came back with COVID.

Good luck.

We cruised last winter. No COVID and none rumored on the ship. Hope you feel better soon.

I can’t keep up with you folks right now!

So I dreamed my crew and I were on a boat, and we had to shoot a neighbor, and blow up her boat for…reasons? But she smiled and waved at us, so we didn’t. then while I was making a change order, a werefox looking creature came out of the water and said it had to kill and eat one of the crew. So we ran into a cave, and Tiamat was waitng for us, and Ghidorah and the werefox came up behind us, and cut off our escape. Dammit, I forgot order ones in the dream. Maybe this Vieux Carré will help.

Yay Huskers and Dawgs!
N.C. State won. Ohio State is up 10-0, in spite of the Badgers trying to help them score more. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Hope you recover quick, Flyboy.

Sorry you didn’t sell more, FCM.

That looks like my type of show. And sorry you had to clean up the other Committee Chair’s mess.

This morning I was up early and off to Targé Boutique to shop when they opened at 7 a.m. I beat the crowds but I also beat much of the stocking staff so I didn’t get everything I wanted. I did buy the kind of food I thought I would need to get me through the next four long days-that would be frozen “family” meals. They basically make only two servings; one for dinner and one to reheat for lunch the next day. I’ll do breakfast burritos on morning break, and then reheat dinners as lunch. I’m counting calories and trying to avoid food before that morning break. This will be a test.

I got to Target early enough that when I got back to my car, the frost was just setting up on the windows. Yep. The cold has arrived. There was snow to the north and snow in Iowa. Not here in between the two but that will happen soon enough.

Did laundry today instead of my usual Sunday routine. New routine is upsetting things like crazy, but I know that will settle down soon.

You all have a great Sunday!

Perhaps I should send you my spritz gun. I haven’t been using it but was loathe to give it up to Goodwill because I keep hoping I will find it in me to make the cookies. That and my rosette iron.

What brand is the mixer again?

metalmouse, chasing 8-year old’s sounds like harder work than sitting in a chair all day, even if my back disagrees. I did just order a butt cushion to help me sit properly as the chairs at work are terrible.

If I coulda, I woulda. Sorry the sale sucked for you and all your critters, Mooooom, but even I have kowtowed to Venmo. It took me a long time to do it.

Holiday season hiring is going on right now. I look at these as potentially throwaway jobs if something better comes down the pike, but at least they are some income.

I do believe that I am quite a bit envious of that opportunity. Glad you respected the machinery as they are not toys. I miss going up to the family farm at harvest time

FCM: Sorry your sale event was such a bust.

Flyboy. Sorry you caught the Crud. So far none of that on my trip. Thank goodness. So far. Still 2 days & one flight to go.

A wonderful day here. Up early, walk, breakfast, check out of hotel, meet the van to the rafting trip. Stopped at a roadside stand to buy some fruit for snacks & saw a sloth in their tree. The trip itself was billed as class 3-4 rapids. IANA expert, but it was lots of fun and lots of work. We were utterly drenched before the first minute was out. The air was warm, the water cool, clear, and fast, while the sky was mostly blue. We were in the water over 2 hours, with a papaya, mango, and pineapple break in the middle. All locally grown of course. So much better than we get in the US. Saw another sloth, a few interesting birds, and the guides knew where to stop to find those amazing little orange frogs. Had a nice group lunch afterwards, then went our separate ways.

That all ran long, so there was less afternoon available than we’d originally expected. Moved to an eco-hotel a few clicks away from the more resort-style place last night. Hotel Lomas del Volcán. Their land backs up to the national park and they have a couple kilometer primitive trail through there. Hiked up the steep slope there into the solid jungle in the late afternoon to gathering dusk. Saw those birds just walking by. They’re about the size of US wild turkeys or maybe smallish peacocks; big birds in any case. And not much wary of humans; we were ~20 feet away as they calmly walked along. We heard howler monkeys somewhere out in the jungle. A sound I’d last heard in IIRC 1984. Saw a few familiar plants and animals and was able to tell my companion a bit about them. Also saw many colonies of Leafcutter ant - Wikipedia. It’s simply amazing to watch them tear up a tree and stuff it down their anthole. A lot of nostalgia, not all of it happy, triggered by 90 steamy minutes in the Central American jungle. Good times overall.

Here’s the folder of all the trip pix so far. The thumbnails shown are pretty cropped; the full pics cover a lot more extent.

Got back from that, had a celebratory beer (see pic), and noted the volcano was making lots more steam than I had ever seen; not just wafting, this was spewing a big trail across the sky. it’s a little hard to see in the pic; the lighting was not good by then.

Decided we needed some more walking, so walked first downhill to the main road and then a ways into town; about 1.5mi total. Had a basic Costa Rican meal & some cheap Malbec, then hiked the 1.5mi back up. Which got to be a long uphill. Called it an early night, had a very welcome shower and now spending time w y’all. Bed will be real soon. Our timing was good; it began raining about half an hour after we got back to our respective bungalows.

I also threw in a pic we took from town yesterday. Just driving down the main drag and there’s this … volcano … at the end of the street. Somehow it made me think of all the butte scenes in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It’s just there, sort of brooding at you. Turn your back and you’re fine. But look over your shoulder and it’s still following you.

Cheers all!

I (we) have tried to be careful. I still use hand sanitiser most times when I refuel, and I have a lifelong habit of washing my hands. I wipe the handles of shopping carts (and my hands) before I use them, and before I return them to the corral. I try to maintain social distancing. But we go on one cruise, and it’s impossible to avoid people and we get the Plague.

Boom chachalaca!

That last rafting photo is great.

Went back to Ye Olde Cheap Diner, for another take-out order to bring to work. What, third time in a week? Having thoroughly enjoyed their patty melt, and a smothered turkey-gravy-mashed taters hot sandwich concoction, I opted to try their meatloaf.

It’s … fine.

I just like mine better. Theirs has a smooshed-down texture, more uniform. Frankly, if their meatloaf had the same texture as the beef for the patty melt (more loose and coarse) I’d like it much better.

That smothered turkey thing was goo-ooo-oood, though, in a comforting and thoroughly beige-colored way. Will definitely get that again!

Do you get to teach them fun stuff, like tongue twisters or jokes, in addition to the regular stuff?

Neat! They’re among my favorite critters.

I love papaya. But it’s been a long time; not being a big fruit eater in general, and having the appetite of a … dunno, something without much appetite … I can’t go through a whole papaya myself, and don’t know anyone to split one with me.

Also, it’s been close to two decades and I can still fondly remember the avocados in the Dominican Republic. I thought a good, ripe Hass stateside was delicious, but these were … out of this world.
So if locally grown papayas are that much tastier than what we get, I haz a jealous.

Stahp! So much jealous!

Not really, it’s been fun to read about your adventures.

The teeeensy tiny ones smaller than your thumb joint?

{ falls over }

I got out of work quite a bit earlier than I expected - I was “last out” but Sweet Manager cut me loose sooner than the pair of "early out"s (why??) but I was not about to complain.

Plus she’d brought us all an ice cream cake to celebrate one of the Oven Master’s birthday, and I haven’t had a bite of one of those suckers in a long, loooong time.

Home early enough that I could call G.C. and see what’s up.
Is it weird that I … don’t wanna?

I just wanna chill by myself … well, and Monkey, and y’all, plus I wanna make myself a nice dinner.

I have a pork chop, and orange marmalade, and I wanna sear the meat and cook the jam down with garlic and something spicy to make a sauce.
Onions will, guaranteed, be involved somehow.

I should make a side, but … what?

Happy Saturday!

No park today. Some Halloween stuff is going on and I think the dog park is closed.
It’s not like I want to go anymore anyway.
The GR enjoy going, and they are doing well. Echo is getting worse and I’m not comfortable taking her anymore.
Yesterday she tried taking on a GSD, and a 110 pound 9-month-old mastiff/gsd mix.

I tried sitting out back with the dogs today and it was too hot. I need to get an awning for out back. The patio can wait until spring.
Today was in the 80s, next week it will be below freezing in the mornings.
It’s not even November yet and I am already tired of the cold.
I should have moved to the south.

The bugs are horrible outside too. I think they are boxelder bugs. They are everywhere. I saw the farmer across the street exterminating around his house. I should have paid attention.

The dogs finally noticed the horse across the street. Good thing my son is strong because all three of them wanted to run over. The neighbor’s dog runs over a lot too. She seems like a very sweet dog. The GR want to meet her, Echo wants to fight.
We need to start using the garage so the dogs don’t even have a chance to get involved with the horse or other dogs.
The garage door wouldn’t close yesterday. Richard came over to fix it. He thinks I pushed two buttons at the same time. I don’t think I did, but maybe I did.
I meant to text him today to thank him again. I paid him, but still, he came over as soon as he could, so extra appreciation should be given.

Richard is the friend of the woman I bought the house from. He did most of the work in the house and has come over several times to show my son how to do some maintenance stuff. They get along pretty well; my son isn’t so shy around him. Probably because the talk is ‘business’, not small talk.

My problem with using the backup camera is, I think, that I can see the side mirrors too and it’s too much going on. If I’m going to use the camera, then I need to focus on that and ignore everything else. If I’m going to use the mirrors, then I need to shut out the camera.
There was a time I could back up a pickup with a load of hay in it and had no problem at all. Use it or lose it, I guess. I used to be able to parallel park with no problems too. I lost that a long time ago.

Echo isn’t feeling well tonight. I’m not sure what is going on, but when she turns down a treat, something is wrong. I gave her an aspirin in case it’s fever.
I foresee a sleepless night until she feels better.

I think the move is about 95% done. We didn’t go over to the old house today. We’ll be there for a while tomorrow cutting up boxes for recycling, and doing some final cleaning. We decided to leave Adam there until the last of the furniture gets moved. I think having movers in will be too much commotion for him, and too many chances for him to escape.

Almost everything has been put away. Maybe not into a permanent home yet. My son tends to just put stuff away all willy-nilly. I probably put too much thought into it.
I’ll stand at the stove and pretend to cook. Where do I want to reach for a pot holder? Where do I want cooking utensils? I do this with everything. I am very indecisive and have to walk through things over and over. My son opens a drawer or door, shoves it in and it’s done. Out of sight, out of mind.
Drives me crazy, but I keep my mouth shut because I appreciate that he is putting stuff away.
Barky/Humpy mom is always telling me I need to get my shit together. She is going on vacation soon; I am going to enjoy it.

It sounds like you are having a nice trip, Pilot

Sorry about the plague, FlyBoy

I hope your mom is okay, FCM
I cannot imagine going to a sale like that and not taking cash.

I am not caught up with y’all yet.

Our little secret.:zipper_mouth_face:

Is to laugh (or snort derisively). I can’t afford game tickets when they are playing a mile away. I did get to go to games accompanying a client as his nurse before I retired 6 years ago. Lots of fun and I got paid for it. He’d had primo season tickets since he was a law school student umpty million years ago so we were at the 50 yard line behind the home bench. Getting paid instead of paying was sweet.

If we do get to go to a bowl game my daughter and SIL will invite me over to watch on their larger than life TV~with some side duties of wrangling grandkidlets during slow parts. Bowl games are nice problems to have. Cross all your Mumper fingers for me :crossed_fingers:t3::crossed_fingers:t3::crossed_fingers:t3:. swampie’s dawgs will have their pick of bowl games.

Thanks.

Y’all know me, what do you think? (Smirk, smirk). When we practice our vocabulary words I explain all the meanings of John, all of them.

I have lots of fun explaining stuff like Halloween and May Day customs, gesundheit!, bizarro nursery rhymes and curious idioms that I don’t notice I’m using until I’m around them.

The class today had two ladies from the South Sudan, one from Venezuela, one from Myanmar and a young man from Burma (which is the former name of Myanmar, which might explain why the two of them sat as far apart from each other as the room allowed).

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 58 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 84 and N.O.S. for the day. The big item on today’s agenda is deheathenization, wherein I have some combo of Crucifer and/or Chalice duty. I’ll just know for sure when I get there I reckon. This shall be followed by a McN.O.L. and then back to da cave for nappage and an afternoon/evenin’ of sloth and general overall uselessness.

Pilot looks like a good time has been had by all! Loved the pics, especially of the sloth(s) as they are my spirit animal.

FlyBoy hope y’all are over the plague soonest.

Boo sweet to have been on the fifty yahd line. I’ve had the pleasure of that at Dooly-Sanford (home of the DAWGS) many years ago. Now, I don’t know if’n I’d want to go through all that or not. Then again, if I had the chance for free fifty yahd tickets and pimo seats, I might. Long way from here to Athens, however.

sari glad the big move is almost done. Hope you are able to get Adam and get him settled in his new digs. Also hope Echo is feelin’ better today, poor baby.

I’ll use the backup camera to back out of the garage, but not real trustin’ of it for backin’ out of parkin’ spaces and such. I just feel better physically lookin’ around whilst doin’ that.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 11c/52f with a predicted high of 12c/54f, and mostly cloudy. Weather app tells me that “It’s a great fucking beach day if you hate people. There probably isnt anyone at the fucking beach today.” I won’t be at a beach either, I live pretty much as far inland here as it’s possible to be. And I have no plans to go outside either.

I had a busy day yesterday, and I still have crud although it’s not such bad crud as it was earlier in the week so that’s a bonus. I suppose I should have done a covid test but I never really thought about it since the only symptoms I’ve got are those of a head cold.

Yesterday I was up and about early to go to the pet store for our fundraising day. It’s not really fundraising as we get very little in the way of cash donations. We had chocolate rice krispie cakes to give away, and sweets for the kids - we had printed some small flyers that have the Little Paws paypal and bank details on them so people can donate direct that way if they don’t have cash. I feel your frustration, Moooom, we get a lot of people saying they would donate but don’t carry cash any more.

After that, I offloaded a load of stuff for a carboot sale that I’d been keeping at home for one of the volunteers. Then went home for a quick lunch and a restorative cuppa. Fed the cats, did the litter trays and then I drove us over to Cannock for Sharkfest 4. Absolutely nothing to do with sharks, it’s organised by Sharon and Mark, so it’s just become known as Sharkfest. A good day with some excellent bands, met up with some friends, dipped out of the proceedings for an hour to go to a local Turkish restaurant for some very yummy food, then back for the rest of the evening. Came home with seven new CDs so that was quite a haul!

We change our clocks this weekend so I re-set the cooker clock and my digital alarm clock, everything else does itself except the car so I’ll go and do that next time I venture outside. Doubt that will be today, I am intending on major slothage today, all I have to do is make chilli for dinner tonight and finish the bottle of wine I opened last night. I drove us to Cannock and back, so no day-drinking for me, thus I had a very nice glass of wine when I got home - that leave most of the bottle so I can have a bit later today, and bung a good glug in the chilli too.

But for now, I need more tea!

Same here. If you live in a row house in Baltimore, you parallel park - well, except where they’ve modified parking in some places. We lived on a corner, so in addition to normal parallel, we also occasionally had to wrap our car around the corner curb. I learned to do that in a station wagon, and I could routinely get within 3-4" of the curb on the first try. These days, not so much…

Got a text from my sis last night. They had Mom on 3 IVs and finally got her pulse rate down to 107, which is still high, but lots better than it was. But they’re not going to let her go home till it’s controlled on oral meds, so a couple-three more days maybe?? I’m going to call her today and see how it’s going. I’m torn between going to see her and thinking that’s an overreaction. It would be about 5 hours of driving for maybe an hour visit - if I was still in my 30s I probably wouldn’t think twice…

FWIW, I’m a Boilermaker and even when I was a student, I didn’t give a flying flip about any of the teams. It rather cracked me up when people would ask where I went to school then make comments about football or basketball and I could barely suppress a yawn. Whatever floats one’s boat, I guess.

We plan to do some major house cleaning today, as it’s been greatly neglected as I crocheted. It’s critter fountain cleaning day, too. I’d also like to ride down to the boat and check things out there, and we’ve got some food for MIL, and CVS has some meds we need to pick up. I foresee erranding.

It’s going to be another gorgeous day, and nice tomorrow, then the cold front comes thru. Halloween may be a washout - luckily, Daughter and SIL took the kids to a Trunk-or-Treat on base on Firday, so they got to dress up and get candies. Tobias was a turtle and Roxy was Rapunzel. No bedsheet ghosts for my grands!!

The leaves are falling like crazy - we’ll have to get the mulcher-vac out pretty soon. I love all the trees around here, except when they shed. Stoopit trees.

But for now I get some quiet 'puter time.

Happy Sunday!!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. The usual cleaning, plus changing the sheets from red to black. And handegg, of course. It’s National Cat Day, and Spot is celebrating by demanding extra attention and martinis, and screaming at the top of his lungs.

sari, glad the move is almost done. And hopefully Echo feels better, and chills out.

The advantage of renting, I pay people to pay people to deal with it. Big plus, a herd of leaf blowers sound like Mongolian Throat Singing.
And hope FairyChatMom Mom feels better soon.

Good morning!

It’s 29F and clear outside. It’s also dark. The expected high should be around 56F and the sunshine should be plentiful. We’ll see rain by Wednesday and overnight lows will warm up to the low forties by Tuesday.

sari, I’m glad the move is almost done.

FCM, I hope your mother continues to improve and she can be sprung soon. I am sorry the sale wasn’t such a success.

I use both the mirrors and the back-up camera.

flyboy, I’m sorry you caught the crud.

boofae, I’m sorry you caught some kind of crud too, but am glad to read there has been some improvement.

pilot, I love me some fresh fruit.

carnut, Not only did I drive the combine, I actually harvested a large part of a field of soybeans. It was quite interesting. I was amazed at how easy it was to handle and how sensitive it was to a push on the lever or a slight turn on the steering wheel. I would have kept going, but I wanted to give my husband and son a chance to try too.

I got my laundry done yesterday but didn’t get to mow. I scrubbed out the bird baths and gave the birds fresh water since the water in the baths was both frozen and icky. I usually change it every day, but since I had been gone for the week, the water in the small hanging bath was pretty gross. We need to top off the feeders today since both the tube feeders are extremely low. I know they’re low when the birds fly up to my window, hang in the air there, and then fly back to the feeders. They’re sort of demanding, lol!

While in Missouri, I could hear birds but never really saw any land in the yard of the home I was staying in. I could see cardinals flitting from tree to tree, along with some other types that I couldn’t make out. I also saw a couple of flocks of barn swallows. But, nothing like the birds that come visit me. I also saw a great big owl and posted pics of that on FB. He/she was quite content to just sit there and let me take pictures.

I suppose I will bust out the mower, weed whacker, and leaf blower today. If I don’t, the grass will be impossible since rain is scheduled to arrive mid-week. I may or may not run an errand or two. It’s more than likely I’ll remain home.

Finally, I’ve been told the next time we fly out, we have to take a later morning flight because neither my husband nor son felt good leaving so early in the morning. They both experienced stomach issues. I hate later flights; they’re always ultra crowded, and you lose a whole damn day to travel. I’m going to have to tack an extra day to each end of the next trip out to Missouri. Sigh, I guess we can’t all be morning people.

Alrighty then. On with the day.

Read most, processed some. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sis is headed up to Dad’s now, so Nelson and I have the place back to ourselves. We enjoyed our visit and I’ll see her briefly when she lands for the night on the flip flop next weekend.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Morning all. Up early but instead of driving over to the Krispy Kreme, I called an audible and borrowed a play from swampy’s book and went to the local Eggs Up grill for Buttermilk Pancakes, Bacon and Orange Juice. Probably as many calories, but it was quite tasty and something different, so I am content. Nothing much planned, will try to motivate myself to the gym a little later and watch some tackleball, but otherwise nothing much.

I do need to make a list of things to be done in the next week before I leave for my cruise via the Panama Canal and then to Brother’s house for T-giving. Mowage, laundry, and several things around the house need to be done, all while doing the Area soccer tournament with my U12 team this weekend. So actually need to plan ahead!

Heading to 83F today but much cooler weather is expected tomorrow (high of 60F) along with a 40% chance of rain. But rest of the week looks clear and comfortable.

Pilot, great pictures, especially the ones on the rapids (I have a couple from doing the Arkansas River through the Royal Gorge many years ago, it was great fun–but no mangos or sloths there). Keep sharing the enjoyment.

Taters, when I lived in Abu Dhabi most of the flights to Europe/US left around 1am-4am so I got kinda used to early bird flights. But probably be best to keep peace in the family and add a day or so to the planning.

doggio, are you really sure you know what’s in those drinks of yours…because those dreams… :upside_down_face: :upside_down_face: :upside_down_face:

vroom, sounds like good planning, you can adjust as time goes along, and sympathies for the cold.

Flyboy, hope you get to feeling better. I haven’t been sick (as in flat on my back in bed) for years now, hope I just didn’t jinx myself, no idea why but am cautiously optomistic on my cruise.

shoe, finding a good (like Mother used to make) meatloaf is tough, I’m fond of the Logan’s Roadhouse grilled meatloaf, burt I do admit that the smothered Turkey sounds interesting.

Sari, have no idea about dog psychology, but could Echo be reacting to all the changes (death of her companion, the move elsewhere, advancing age)? Hopefully she’ll settle down and stop trying to pick fights. And truth be told, I’m probably more like Sah-son in putting stuff away.

BBBoo, yeah, tickets for almost anything these days are insane. Once in awhile I’ll think about going to Atlanta or Nashville to see a Pro Football game, check the ticket prices on-line and…forget about it. Heck, a fairly good seat at the Minor League soccer team games is $25, not counting parking and concessions. Insane, if you ask me (and you kids get off my lawn!!). And yeah, given the history of Burma/Myanmar the past half-century, I can understand.

I use the backup camera to make sure it’s clear behind me, but also try to glance right and left to see anyone approaching. So far, so good. Haven’t parallel-parking in I don’t know how long.

boo fae, sounds like an interesting day was had. Hope you continue to feel better. Our clocks “fall back” next Sunday.

FCM, all the best to your Mom and hope they can keep the pulse down. And when is trick-or-treat (when the kids come to the door, that is)? I think Tuesday, but does it vary? Can’t find any info here and didn’t think to ask the kids during soccer (dumbth).

Whew, that was a lot! Take care all, have a good Sunday, now on to the internettin’ for the morning. Take care all.

Do you have a balcony cabin? We did and it was so nice to be able to stand there and watch all the goings-on as we transited the first set of locks without being jostled by non-balcony riff-raff! I’m hoping to make a full transit one day.

We have the Blue Crabs baseball team and we’ve been to a few games. Not the best baseball, but parking is free and they offer some good deals if you get season tickets. Heck, sometimes you can get a decent seat for $13. But, yeah, concessions are stupid expensive. Still, it’s a fun evening if you like baseball, which we do.

It’s Tuesday, tho some neighborhoods do it on the weekend before, and some church groups do trunk-or-treat the weekend before. The only reason I keep track is to make sure our house is dark, not that we have many kids around here anyway. I think most parents drive their kids to townhome neighborhoods.

OK, the kitchen floor is clean - except under the fridge since I didn’t want to pull that out. But I did pull the stove out - it was furry underneath. I took advantage of its removal to wipe down the sides of the cabinets and the sides of the stove - drips, yanno. As soon as the floor dries, I’ll put everything back in the kitchen and finish cleaning the critter fountain. I’d already unloaded, then reloaded the dishwasher. I need to rollsuck the living room and dining room and hall. Anyway, all that should bring me up to 11-ish and lunch break.

FCD doesn’t want to go to the boat, so I’m going to run my errands while he futzes in the shop. Then, maybe, I can chill.
