First, from the last batch:
While our TR can be loudish, it’s not nearly as bad as you’ve described. And they no longer put peanuts on the tables, but they do have a barrel of bagged nuts at the entrance. We grab a couple on our way out. And I love their salmon!
That’s like when everyone was hawking “fat-free” stuff that was packed full of sugar. C’mon, peoples, there are calories in things other than fat!!
Her battery, after core return and with a veteran’s discount, came to just under $230. She choked. The battery replacement I dread is in the boat - we have 3 and those suckers go for close to $1K each. And they’re HUGE!! But so far, they’re good, so there’s that…
On to today:
Ha ha wrong!!! I actually slept till after 6!!! Never woke once during the night!! It’s a miracle!!! I think all the raking and leaf-hauling yesterday had a little to do with it.
And the reason I woke when I did was a bizarro dream I was having - don’t despair - I’m not going to tell you the stoopit details. Except that it got to the point where I discovered a pan of raw meatballs had been left out all night and dried out and I woke up pissed off that all that meat had to go into the trash. Not the best way to start your day. But I’m caffeinating and mellowing now.
Looks like we’re promised rain on and off between lunch and supper, so my hopes to ready my veggie garden patch are pretty much dashed now. Dammit. However, I’ll push the roll-suck around the basement, gathering graham cracker crumbs. And I need to get some 'nanners at some point. I should probably look for lost science experiments in the fridge before heading to the grocery store.
FCD has a bunch of things to do - some banking for his mom, plus an appointment with the hospice counselor. I hope something there clicks soon - he keeps threatening to quit going, but it’s got to help, right? I can’t remember what else he was going to do but there were several items on his list.
Speaking of lists, I’ve found my 2 boat to-do lists - I can put them on a spreadsheet and we can create a priority/schedule for dealing with them. That’ll keep me busy on a rainy afternoon… for a bit.
And I need to find a new read. Yesterday, I started reading a different author’s take on Regency England, and apart from anachronisms, her style is annoying - she keeps popping in and out of the main character’s head, so it’s tough to keep track of what’s happening and what’s a remembering sequence. And that’s just after the first chapter! I’m pretty sure I won’t bother with chapter 2.
Thus beginneth the last week bit of March.
Have whatever kind of Moanday you want to have!
