[OLD] Have As Good A New Monday MMP As Possible

This is how in my own stuff I’ve been - I hadn’t even known anything was happening with Philly’s water. Hopefully they’ll be able to get it straightened out sooner rather than later. (Then again, I seem to remember Philly’s water not being that great when we lived there…)

{{{{Sunny}}}} I’m so sorry, hon. I’m in Nashville, so this one has wrecked me a bit too. It really is getting to be too much and I’m so sorry that you have a personal connection.

Today has actually been a pretty good day for this little fishy. I drove CtE in to school and was glad that I got gas on the way in. When I finally made it back to this area of town around noon, I found that gas had jumped 20 cents/gallon from what I’d paid this morning. I did come back here after dropping CtE off to get BtY and drop him off before going to my doctor’s appointment.

Doctor’s appointment went really well. My doctor made me stand up and turn around because she said I’m thinner than she’s ever seen me. She’s really pleased with the weight loss, now we just have to hope that Rybelsus gets passed the third clinical trial so I can get back on it and continue with the loss. She said my heart and lungs sounded good, then sent me for blood work and to get the latest COVID shot. I was able to see the results of my blood work when I got home and almost everything looks good. My LDL Cholesterol is a little high but not terribly high and the rest of the numbers are great.

Then I headed over to my library branch. They have SOOOOOOO many books waiting for patrons, but considering they were closed for 3 weeks and the branch they’d been moved to wasn’t as convenient for all involved, it really isn’t a surprise. I did get a chance to hug the children’s librarian and chat with her for quite a bit before picking up the 8 things that were waiting for me. I’m so glad that they’re back where they belong, though. I love my librarians.

I’ll be posting about Dad in a bit in my thread about my him. Things are starting to make sense a bit, which is helping with my mood too. That, and having long silly conversations with a friend, finding out another friend that had been in a coma is out of it, and getting pictures from one of the vice-principals at BtY’s school of him laying down under one of the tables. Though with that one, I am slightly concerned. That is a behavior that he had in elementary school when he’d get overwhelmed and wanted to shut out the world. I don’t know if he’ll tell me anything, since he’s very closed mouthed about what’s bothering him, but I need to try to see if something is overwhelming him so we can try to address it if it is. For all I know, it could just be a matter of processing the shooting yesterday. I won’t know for sure until I ask.

Well, mumpers, have a great rest of your day, however long or short that may be! I’m going to enjoy a little more of the sunshine pouring through my window as I type.
