Well, now I have that interview tomorrow and another one ( convenience store also) Thurs.

the jigsaw puzzles are in the “break area”. sometimes after staring at numbers on a computer screen your brain needs a bit of a break. we have a large “cafe” area with windows that face west. people will go there to eat a snack or lunch, look out the window or put a few pieces in a puzzle or lego bricks in a build.

Sticks and FCM, Those car pics are pretty icky but they did their job of protecting their passengers. I agree with the idea of getting on top of the pain now…are warm baths a possibility for either of the guys?

So I just had a very nice encounter with a passerby. Hubs has the smoker* fired up. The smoker is behind the house where passerbys can’t see it. The very sweet woman threw her bike down on the lawn, pounded on my window yelling about the fire and by the time I got outside, she was hooking up our hose to the tap.
I hope she gets over the embarrassment and doesn’t stop being willing to help if she sees a need. I thanked her over and over, she did a very good thing.
Tomorrow the smoker will be moved to the somewhere visible from the road, we don’t want to worry anyone else like that.
*Chicken smoked with apple wood, mashed potatoes with cream, homemade cultured butter and sour cream, and steamed fresh asparagus I got from the Amish produce stand.

Well, all but one of the blizzard of Amazon packages is here and put away (and why the still-outstanding item wound up on a different truck from all the rest I have no clue) and am still awaiting FedYecchs (shipment from Replacements.com of more pieces of my Corelle set). Also got a surprise UPS item, addressed to DH. I suspect he told me about it, but it didn’t stick in memory.
And the FedYecchs shipment has arrived, with plates and such now churning away in the dishwasher.
Gotta give Replacements.com serious points for VERY thoroughly packaging goods. Once I extracted the two wrapped bundles of actual merchandise, the albino puff Cheetos (some sort of foam packing material) still nearly filled the box, which tells me they got some good compression in the packing stage. I unpacked this box while it was on the kitchen floor, and found puffs on the kitchen counter and in the sink!
Then there was the yards of white paper backed with brown paper honeycomb-cut stuff, with at least one layer of this over every surface of package contents (well, except the inside of the cups). I could wish they’d put the inventory stickers on the backs of plates rather than on food-contact surfaces, but I was planning to wash everything before shelving it anyway.
Now for that last Amazon package with that Febreze stain/odor remover (and why that’s so hard to find locally, I do not know).
I went to the Likker Sto, and almost lost my back bumper to a Suburban zipping through the parking lot. I caught up with them at the light to go across the street to Teeter for some veggies, and they almost got T-Boned by a jacked up F-150. And when I was following the 2 maniacs, a black Altima did a Hail Mary left turn in front of me, and I had to stomp my brakes. So I stopped at The Yard House for tacos and a couple of brews.
Missed load. Also, Brown is testing AI route scheduling, which in one case sent 1 package car to deliver an Next Day Air package, 1 to deliver a Ground, and one to do a pickup to a business, and had all three arrive at the same time.

Afternoon all. Got my 1.5 miles of backstroking done, the whirlpool must have just had some chemicals added because it looked like someone had dumped a pound of bubble bath in it, huge globs of bubbles 12-18" tall all over the whirlpool, you needed to shower after getting out. Still, it worked. 92F right now, in about an hour will head over to the soccer fields for a couple of hours and then get some dinner at Mickey D’s and that should pretty much take care of the day.

Howdy Y’all! Been a cloudy and windy day but almost no rain. I think Little Debbie went further east than expected. Still the east side of the state and into South Keerliner are gettin’ slammed. So very RDOS day here with no reason to leave da cave. I was hopin’ to get twuck back today but never got a call. May call the repair place tomorrow just to see what’s up. Sup got made and et. Soon it shall be Netflix, chill, and popcorn time.

JtC never thought about that. My smoker is not directly behind da cave, but on a small deck off of the back porch and hidden by the privacy fence. It could possibly look like da cave is on fire from the front yahd. I should go look next time I fire it up just to amuse myself.

What to say about the rescheduling. If I say I had a health scare, they will think I may call off at times.
If I say I missed the bus, it seems undependable.
How about if I say I had to help a neighbor with a health problem?
I’ve always found it best to just not give an excuse at all if possible. Just go in, thank them for being so flexible, and dive right in to telling them why you’re the best person for the job!
Did you squeeze it and shake it to see if that would jog your memory? Or just because it’s fun to guess whats in the box?

All of our smokers have been hidden in the backyard and this is the first time anyone has stopped. Arizona’s fire danger is always much higher than West Virginia’s, two or three homes burned down every year back there. Nobody ever stopped or called the fire department.
It’s just more neighborly back here.
Here’s hoping they just tell him to go home, take OTC pain meds and drink lots of fluids. His poor back must be screaming about the hard wrenching it took 
Do you get to do the inventory or just collate the numbers? I used to love doing inventory, I’d look forward to it while everyone else was moaning. Counting everything and ticking off the boxes just felt so satisfying for my lil CDO mind.
Bella is calming down somewhat, but she has also found her yowl. Hubs is coming with me tomorrow, we will drop her off and then go get breakfast while waiting to find out what is going to happen next.
The plan is for them to shave her belly and if no scar is found, do an ultrasound. We are going to be the sort of patients they hate because if they don’t see a uterus, and think they are finished we will demand a AMH and Progesterone test that we will pay for. Many medical folks don’t like their patients diagnosing things with the help of Dr. Google, even if it is right.
Here’s hoping she can be fixed tomorrow, poor GG is ready to take his fuzzy balls and leave town.
Today’s heat index was 102. Storms are moving in and the temp and humidity have already dropped. I made sheet pan chicken fajitas for dinner. It was okay. Don’t know if I’ll make them again.
