(Old) “Oh shit! I see Monday!” - Spot‘s new MMP (told you I liked it)

I can’t tell if I did this new MMP at the crack o’ Monday dark in the am right. About all I can say is I tried, I really did.

I’m not even home yet. Stayed late at my daughter’s house because they have streaming covering football and so I could watch my beloved Huskers win yesterday’s game and become bowl eligible. And rewind and watch the best parts over and over again. Whilst folding basket after basket of clean laundry while the dirtiers of said laundry snooze upstairs all snug in their beds. There’ll be a steep price to pay when I get home to a Siamese who will feel very neglected and affronted by my 12 hour absence. I’ll try to placate her by showing her Spot, Monkey and Jolene & GG pics to convince her she’s one of the cool kids too.

Skritches and {{{{ }}}} to all.

Meow.
I like it!

This MMP requires a cat photo, preferably of Spot.

I have always liked Mondays

How cute. As if I knew how to post photos. If I did, you can bet your sweet bippy there’d be one of herself the Moxie meezer.

I could try to drop kick one over to FaceBook and beg moooom to post it for me here when she wakes up and has had her Diet Coke. Sounds like a plan.

Sounds like a very good plan.

There’s no such thing as too many cat pics, right?

Don’t have a kitty of my own, but there’s a couple kitties that cross my path. One keeps coming into the company cafeteria and thinks it’s a nice place to snooze.

I know, right? Some posters here can magically make photos appear in their posts. I am not one of them. I can provide a link to Imgur but that’s the best I can do.

Once you have that link, just put it in your post on a line of its own:

Voila, one lovable picture.

A new cat pic to love.

I love all the cats.

Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 7c/45f with a predicted high of 9c/47f and partly cloudy. Weather app says “You could go out to see how fucking mild it is, but what’s the fucking point?”

I always feel terribly guilty about leaving the cats home alone, even though I know they have enough food left out to feed themselves for a week, and they will probably sleep most of the time we’re out because the house is quiet. They still have to get fusses and treats when we get home though!

Sounds like you had a lovely stay at your daughter’s house too

Farcebook pic of Spot’s doppleganger!

Good morning!

I’m a bit chilly sitting here in my chair, but the poodle is quite comfy. Not too much going on today. I’m taking my mom to the doctor and then working on school stuff a bit.

shoe, just wanted to say that I’m glad we can be friends after all seeing as we share a fond dislike of mushrooms!

Ok, have a good Monday and I’ll see y’all later.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 43 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 75 and N.O.S. We made the executive decision to go to the hog trough GC for N.O.L. for today’s main need to feed. Thus the rest of the day shall be spent in high RDOS inactivities such as nappage and day drinkin’. Sounds like a fine plan to me!

I don’t have pets so I enjoy all the pics of Mumpets. I consider myself their strange but lovable uncle.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Moanday Y’all!

OK, first - for BBBoo:

Complete with my dowdy cranky night nurse watch. None of these newfangled whippersnapper new digital or smart watches for me.

OK, on to my post…

A bit of a creepy wake-up - I thought I heard MIL calling me. But I looked in her room and she was asleep. However, after that I couldn’t fall back to sleep, and it was after 6 anyway, so I just got up.

I forgot to dump pellets in the stove last night and I heard the furnace kick on several times. That has been remedied - I scraped crud out of the burner tray and re-pelleted the hopper, and it’s burning away behind me. This part of the house got down to 69° overnight - it’s usually around 72°. It’ll be warm again soon. Meanwhile it’s 35° outside which means I won’t be doing any leaf-suckage for a bit - not till it hits at least the low 50s. It has to be done, but it doesn’t have to be done stoopit early! Just gotta finish before the rain moves in, which isn’t forecast till around this time tomorrow, so I’ll be set.

Speaking of MIL, she hasn’t gotten out of bed since around 8PM on Saturday. We’ll see what the nurse says when she comes today…

Daughter asked me to mind her spawn on Wednesday. They’re off school and both she and SIL have to work. I can entertain them by letting them help me prep a few things for Thursday’s dinner. Plus they’ve got a basement full of toys and a TV where they can run amok, so there’s that.

And speaking of Thursday, I think I’ll pass on the sweet potato casserole - I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who likes it. Instead, I’ll just bake them for myself for various suppers. Or slice and cook them in the air fryer. Whateves. I’ll review my menu - I may drop some other stuff. No sense in overdoing it just because it’s Thanksgiving.

And speaking of menus and food and cooking stuff, why must every recipe you find on line have to start with a long, convoluted story about the origin of that dish or whatever? No need to share how GreatGreatGrandma invented this in her covered wagon while crossing the plains. (I don’t know for sure - I don’t read them.) Thank goodness for the “Jump to Recipe” button.

I think tomorrow, I’ll make one last dash to the grocery store. The kids will want strawberries - especially Tobias - and I’ve got in the back of my mind that I need something else. I’m sure it’ll come to me after I’ve been to the store and returned home. Because my brain betrays me regularly.

Till then, well, on with it.

Happy Moanday!!

Good morning.

It’s 43F, and light rain is falling. In the afternoon, it will be cloudy with occasional rain showers and a high temperature of 50F. This has been an exceptional mild autumn. The temperatures have been too warm, too. We’ve had a few days here and there with some early morning temps in the 30s, but the daytime highs are always in the 50s, sometimes nearing 60. If we don’t start seeing some cold snaps, we will have a nasty flea season next spring. I still have fuschias and lobelia blooming for Pete’s sake!

FCM, I hope the day goes smoothly.

I feel incredibly guilty whenever I leave the house because of the pups. It will be rough when I have to return to the office on a near-daily basis.

What a pretty kitty, BBBoo!

The stove guy arrives today sometime between 8:00 and 12:00 noon. I just realized I forgot to pull out the stove and clean up any crud under and behind it. I guess I’ll do that in just a little bit. There shouldn’t be much; I have stainless steel stove/counter gap thingies. I hope this will have cut down on stuff going down the sides. My husband is the world’s messiest cook.

I have multiple meetings today and hope to catch up on some things with my boss. He was traveling last week, so he wasn’t super communicative. I’m not even sure he saw my Teams note to him about not coming into the office today because of the stove guy. Oh well.

It’s that time again! Yes, it’s time for more coffee!

Ralphie says Hi!

Good morning all. The plethora of cat pics this early was a bit disorienting to me, but I must admit they are cute. Never owned (or been owned) by a cat but get along with them ok.

57F heading for 70F and then rain tonight will cool things down; at this rate I will be mowing my lawn in December. Need to do a little shopping, get my Jersey Mike’s #3 and get some cash from my bank, but outside of swimmin’ not much else is planned. may try to add veggies to the snacking stuff I keep around the house, I do nibble away quite a bit and even with relatively low-calorie packets, it still adds up…but the Lay’s chips and Cheez-it 10 pacs are soooo good…

Taters, hope the stove guy finds an easy fix for you.

FCM, happy planning for the week.

BBBoo, it sounds like you had a tiring but successful trip, hopefully the Siamese was forgiving.

Onward into the week!!

Interview today, its a 6 minute walk from my apt.:crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

MIL has emerged from her room (with lots of help) after a 36-hour sleep. All she wanted was a cup of coffee.

FCD has decided he doesn’t want any more punkin’ pie - we’ve had 4 since his birthday on Nov 3. So the fixin’s will be saved for some time next month, I’m sure. But there will be dessert - Daughter is making a chocolate cherry cake and I’ll get some ice cream and fixin’s for sundaes. Maybe I’ll make a batch of chocolate chip cookies, too. We’ll see how my time goes.

Coppertone, fingers crossed.

Ursala sees YOU!
