Good morning.
It’s 46°F, dark, damp, and cloudy outside. Rain is supposed to fall off and on all day, and our daytime high will be 54°F. It rained all day yesterday, so things are very soggy out here. And, looking at long-range forecasts, it appears we won’t see any white stuff out here.
Sticky Buns, how scary! I’m glad it wasn’t a stroke, and I hope you can get in sooner to see the appropriate medical professional.
Hippie, I’m glad Sunflower is doing better.
I spent yesterday washing towels and bedding, plus the usual kitchen tidying and floor sweeping. And, that’s about all I did. Still feeling antsy, but somehow not inclined to go out anywhere.
This morning, I read about a company near me that is the largest private tree seed bank in the western United States. Here, about 5,000 pounds of seeds are collected every year, and 6 to 10 million seedlings are sprouted every year in the field and five acres of greenhouses on site.
Given the rise in wildfires and the fact that our forests are not regenerating as they once did, I found this company’s work quite interesting. Interesting enough to see if there was a chance for employment there. Unfortunately, the three full-time jobs were not my specialty, and the part-time work is seasonal and almost over. All the same, it’s a really cool mission, and someplace I’ll keep an eye on.

My day is open, but I should knock out some Christmas shopping. I finally have some ideas for the grandkids, and as usual, my daughter and son-in-law say chocolate. I guess they’ll have to be happy with what I send them.
That’s about all from these parts. I hope you all have a good day. Please remember to take care of yourselves.
