Good morning!
It’s a lovely 61F and cloudy, and the sun rose about 10 minutes ago. We’ll have morning clouds and afternoon sunshine, with a daytime high of 75F. I’m down for that. While it was cloudy yesterday, it became very muggy, which is uncomfortable when the temps are at 85F.
Sadly, no rain has fallen, and yes, I miss it. We really need some out here.
Bright Tree, as long as you feel good about Pond Guy, that’s all that matters. I’m glad next Wednesday looks firm for his arrival.
Shoe, yes, insurance is obscenely expensive, even with “help” from your employer. It shouldn’t be so damn much money.
Tabs are stupid expensive here in my county, plus two or three others. If I were driving a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee, I’d be paying close to 800 bucks this year. That’s for ONE year. Because my Jeep is older, I pay less, but it was still around 200 bucks.
Bright Tree, the remoteness sounds soooo good to me. I would love to hear nothing but nature, even if it can get a little creepy sometimes when you hear stuff rustling in the bushes and trees.
Lily, I’m glad the Invisalign thing is going well, despite the ouchiness of the third set.
BBBoo, I hope the pain disappears, and the PT helps.
The wild blackberries, well away from the roadsides, around here are generally good. The store-bought berries are quite another matter. Tasteless mush.
The door guy came yesterday, measured and explained the process. We should receive an email with a final quote and timeline by Monday. I hope the timeline doesn’t take too long.
Today will be busy; I need to fill up the Jeep, buy a new leash for Buster (he chewed through his other two), get a haircut, stop for some snacky snacks, pick up the dogs and my husband, and then we’re heading down to my son’s place to visit him and Zeus.
Maisie was subdued for most of the day yesterday and ate more slowly than usual, but the stress panting was gone. She is still being rather clingy, but then again, she does like to stick close. The good news is, she actively sought out her “quiet place” behind the sofa yesterday evening. She likes to hang out there often.
She ate with no problem today. She’s drinking water, and she’s pooing. Still, I’ll watch today to see if we’re back to full normal. If not, I’ll call the vet. Both pups need their nails trimmed anyhow. And despite my almost daily ear washing and wiping, there’s been some ear flapping and paw licking for both of the pups, although I don’t see any redness.
Alrighty, it’s that time again. Please take care of yourselves.
