I decided not to wait til tomorrow so ordered online and did drive through. Guess what. No fever. First reading was 96.8. A few hours later it was 98. Both within normal range.

I’m just sorry our hippie might still have been at his fishing cabin in the Ozarks and not able to see our Huskers bringing it all. I can’t remember ever smiling so much after losing a game.
The game was on in the cabin. The place we stay is not very rustic. There is direct TV with a sports package. The guys more interested in sports spend most of Saturday in the cabin drinking beer and yelling at the TV. The consensus was that the refs were biased and the Huskers could have won with straight officials. That is not an unusual statement from NE fans. A lot of their losses are blamed on the Zebras
I watched for a while and then went down to the boat dock to read quietly in a nice lawn chair.

Sending him things occasionally will directly do him a world of good but also inform the assisted living home staff that he has friends who care about him, who are staying in touch with him and are watching out for him. You’d be amazed at how that can improve the quality of care he’ll receive.
As someone who’s worked on the total care wing, this is (unfortunately) true.
I’m in bed, eating saltines and butter and watching the Great British Bake Off on Netflix.
I missed church today because I was under the weather. I was to sit at the greeting desk, but wasn’t able to make it; one of the deaconess’s was curt with me about that.
My Ravens lost ( but it was a nice win to honor Clevelands great sports announcer, Jim Donovan, who passed away yesterday).
On a good note, I have been hired.
A place I’d not applied before.
I said I can do the job, and he said he remembered me and my son, and said he’d send me the onboarding.
It took some time as his mother had just died.
I am unable to log in to the onboarding place.
Hope he will send me an updated password soon.
Had a bowl of stuffing for sup.
I’m glad it was a brief bout. I have a little but annoying cold (not COVID, happily) that’s not enough to put me to bed, but neither am I happy to be up and around.
2.5th load of laundry in (drying from yesterday’s wash = .5), ran the Roomba because it’s entertaining and we hadn’t done it for a while. Did yard work in the non-rain interval–a little weeding, constructing the Very Cold Frame for some of the potted plants (sides of crates insulated, tops open), moved the other pots to a more protected area where they’ll still get rain, trimmed shrubbery, planted out a couple of rudbeckias. I did indeed make the TJ’s soup with TJ’s wontons, which my lovely wife is enjoying with a gluten-rich non-alcoholic beer. Package arrived, was delivered to the correct side of the house, and now is squirreled away so I can secretively assemble birthday gifts for said lovely wife.
See you tomorrow in the MMP.
Sat through a online meeting for the soccer tournament next weekend and signed up to referee two games (to go along with the three I am coaching) and may do games next Sunday too, so at least my weekend is already planned. Am going to donate my XXL referee uniforms that are too large for me to somebody who can use them, so my good deed for the month has come just in time.
Nice cards, red.
Hippie, I expect to hear about my refereeing during the tournament…and this is for 11 year olds…afraid it’s everywhere.
Feel better soon, Coppertone. And Yeah! on the job.
Nice sneaky present-gifting, lily.
And off to bed soon; catch all y’all on the next MMP.

one of the deaconess’s was curt with me about that.
Ask her if she wanted germs to be given out, as well as greetings.
I didn’t get a fever with my latest bout of Covid. Thankfully, no cough. I thought it was allergies until I took the test.
I hope your bout is as easy as mine.

I wish I could use one of those on my work computers!
If you are allowed to install, I strongly recommend software called Synergy ( Synergy - Share one mouse & keyboard across computers ) which is software to allow using a single keyboad and mouse across multiple machines, even different OS.
It was relatively cheap, US$29
(I started using it when I was a very pretentious young developer, and had Linux, Windows and Mac machines, with four monitors running at a time when few people had two. I grew up and learnt about Virtual Machines… one monitor is sufficient, though I do like two)
