(Old) Summarize your work in the MMP

Will do. :folded_hands:

Watched 3 hrs 20 minutes of the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Media Day; still have 1 hr 40 minutes to go. To be truthful I fast forwarded through a fair amount, mostly the coaches. I’m pleased to report that of all the coaches that were interviewed thus far, most were women.j

Hubs went to the optometrist and ordered 2 pairs of glasses.

BF stopped by on the way home from her attorney and we had some beverages out in the backyard and chatted for an hour or so.

Used my How to Cook Moist & Tender Chicken Breasts Every Time recipe and enjoyed some moist & tender chicken breast for dinner along with baked sweet potato and broccoli that I drizzled with EVOO.

Now just awaiting the start of tonight’s episode of TAR (The Amazing Race)

Up from naptime. Dinner tonight is a martini, with chicken and egg noodles with cheese sauce. Spot is having dry, flavorless bits and filtered water.

The old Pantana Bob’s pool hall used to have a sign: *Our complaint manager is Helen Wait. If you have a complaint, go to Helen Waite.

Sort of like my car always swerves into bar parking lots and the engine dies?

‘Small… Far away’ is one of our favourite quotes. Incidentally, Ardal O’Hanlon (‘Father Dougal’) played D.I. Jack Mooney on Death In Paradise.

10pm and time to be thinking about bed. Have done nothing in particular (You Tube vids and comics) since my last report, so I’ll get right to the scrolling…

swampy, looks the the very worst weather will be west of us, but this early you never know…

FCM, went by my old school (Kent State) on my July travels, one of the dorm blocks I lived in has been torn down completely, the others are still there and while there are a couple of new buildings, the old ones seem to be in place. More surprising was the new High School in my old hometown, the old one is still standing but deserted and I suspect it’ll be sold and developed sometime soon.

wet one, best wishes to your family, I don’t pray but will send positive waves their way.

JtC, oh, measuring ice cream consumption is a tricky business, I grant you, but I do try and so far have not exceeded (at least by too much) my limitations. And guess I need to clean the fridge tomorrow, I think you’ve guilted me into it.

And that’s all for this Humpday. Catch up with y’all sometime Thorsday.

That was a good counseling session. Between you all and Mrs Magill, my counselor thinks I’ve got a great support system in place. My next goal is to tell my father when I see him at Thanksgiving. My sister still thinks he’ll be okay with me. Intellectually, I agree, but you can’t stop those little fear demons from clawing away.

Anyway, thank you MMPers for putting up with me. It has not gone unappreciated.

Aftet DI Poole, DI Mooney was my favorite on that show. He was the only one who seemed to be trying to make a community for himself on the island. The rest seemed to be quirky for the sake of being quirky.

Yeah, I went to my old campus a couple of years ago. They put a new building between my old stomping grounds of the theater and the on campus fine arts building. The whole thing is attached to the campus commons. It’s gotta be the largest building north of Boston, by footprint, anyway.

I did some, by my opinion, mediocre, painting of a fake tree that I built, it’s very abstracted and kinda Dr Seuss-y . My boss loved it as is. It was my first pass, and as you may or may not know, scenic artists take some time to find the look. I gotta at least add one more paler color.

Mollie I’m so glad that things a going as smoothly as they are. I’m sure your father will still love and respect you.

Home again.

I’d let Monkey out of my hair, but there’s three cop cars (and one (1) pulled over sedan :face_with_raised_eyebrow: ) across the corner, and although the squadron of LEO cars have their sirens mercifully silent, I’m not letting my cat out into whatever is happening.

We were slow at work tonight, again, and S.M. decided to send me out & get us all some McD, on her. (Oh, noes! Look at me, complaining about a free cheeseburger!)

Well, WE were slow, but they were so slammed I had time to apply full eyeliner & mascara while waiting in the drive-thru line.

I wore my sunflower bandana AND sunflower pants today, which in absolutely no way, shape or form has anything to do with current geopolitick. :sunflower: :ukraine:

So, blue eyeliner FTW!

Finally … and this one isn’t so happy …

Today - or technically yesterday, if you’re nit-picky about clocks - was, or is, or should have been, my wedding anniversary.

What’s surreal is that My Other Shoe has been gone longer than we were together lucky thirteen years and I still friggin’ miss that sweet handsome S.O.B. Smart, loving, and cats all loved him (which is a good test of character).

I finished a project today. Each year I buy a lot of soup vegetables, slice them up small, and dehydrate them. Then I divide them up into small batches and put them in the freezer, just to be on the safe side. During the winter I use them as soup base. I will chop up leftover meat and add it to the soup, or bouillon mix I have made and have a hot pot of healthy homemade soup. This year I got twelve packages so at maybe one a week it should last for three months or so. Depending on what else I throw in at the time it’s never quite the same twice.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave. It’s 56 degrees Ferret Height(10.556 Centipedes) outside.

Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 8c/47f with a predicted high of 13c/56f and partly cloudy. Weather app says “This is the perfect day to fucking stay inside and work on maths problems. Nah, I’m kidding. That’s fucking stupid.”

Moooom have a fun day out on your old stomping ground.

metalmouse good to hear that the foot doc didn’t find anything untoward! You’ll soon be skipping around the gym again.

WetOne appendages crossed for hurricane safety!

Mollie I’m so glad to hear things are going well with the counselling. I am also sure that your father will still love you, and respect your decision.

Yesterday was busy but fairly productive, I got to tick a few things off my list. I got out of irk a few minutes early which saved me from having to travel on the train full of shrieking schoolies. I plan to do the same today!

My relaxing evening didn’t quite happen as I decided to run the rollsuck over the carpets because it’s not been done for a while (and the catsitter’s coming at the weekend) so that was a burst of activity I hadn’t planned on. After that, I did get to flop on the sofa and wait for ‘im indoors to provide dinner. Sadly, that means it’ s my turn tonight but I’m planning something quick and easy so there will be time for a little sofa flopping.

Off to get breakfast and drink more tea before I put out some skip fires.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 66 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 81 and cloudy. TWPTB say that tomorrow and the next three days will be rainy ones and have even predicted a flood watch beginnin’ tomorrow afternoon. We shall see. We have no where we want or need to be today, so 'twill be a day of high RDOS sloth. Even sup will be somewhat slothful as the plan is grilled chikin boobs, sallit, and cheesey garlic bread.

MOOOOOOM glad you had a good time seein’ Ye Olde Alma Mater. Amazin’ how much can change in fifty years ain’t it!

WetOne prayers ascend for your sis, BIL and niece. Can’t blame sis for bein’ freaked out.

JtC Of course you floozied within one hunnert yards of an ex-president. I woud expect nuttin’ less!

Cat_Glove sittin’ on the back porch or out by the cee-mint pond with a beverage is one of my favorite pasttimes. Glad you got to enjoy that with BF.

doggio this is my version:
Why do flies suddenly appear,
everytime you are near?
Just like fleas they long to be
close to you!
Why do gnats swarm down from the sky,
everytime you walk by?
Just like fleas they long to be close to you.
On the day that you were born
the demons got together
and decided to create a true nightmare.
So they sprinkled acne on your face
and dandruff all up in your greasy hair!
And that is why all the lice in town
follow you all around.
Just like fleas they long to be
close to you!

Mollie glad you had a good session. I am sure all will be well when you tell your father.

CupCakes sounds like quite the project! The good thing about homemade soup is one can throw in enough different stuff that it’s never the same but always nummy.

BooFae sometimes it comes upon us to be productive. Glad you got some sofa time and glad that’s the plan for tonight.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Another day of pretending to be an RDOS. I could get used to this…

I am trying to be a good little nut and get on with some of the DIY stuff that needs doing though, or at least ordering the parts, so’s I can do it later. It’s sunny, but chilly even in the sun today, which is my justification for prioritising pottering in the garden.

((((shoe))))

Did I see you on the news? If so, good job

{{{shoe}}}

uh, kinda disturbing

Soooooooo ready to go home. If I hear comments on how fast I shower (no, it’s now all that fast) anyway, it’s the little things that make you crazy…

A couple of FCD’s cousins are coming over today. We’re also going in search of his grandparents’ old house later. So mostly a chill day.

Happy Thursday!

Good morning! Not much happening here, except to say thank you to all of you. My counsellor credits the positive support you all have provided for how well my transition is going.

Thank you.

CupCakes - You’ve reminded me. I had meant to restock frozen chicken breasts last night. It’s getting to be soup season.

That’s always fun. Whenever I would pass through Litchfield, I would try to get a picture of the house my mother grew up in. It still looks (mostly) the same from the outside, but boy howdy has it been updated on the inside.

  1. I just got weepy over someone I’d never known. I guess this is what they mean about emotions getting "closer to the surface. ↩︎

Howdy, folks. It’s Thursday, Oct. 8. Students are demonstrating in the streets of Paris. It’s the national sport there, and I admire that. “What do we want? Patience! When do want it? Now!”

I’m slugging down my first mug of coffee, and I am nearly awake. I’ve had my daily mandarin orange and Krogurt. I"m listening to WBST on the Ball State Public Media app instead of the local station, Grawlix fund drive.

Hurricane season is underway, with a storm called Isaias. I had guessed at “Eye-ZAY-us,” but a voice on the radio said "EES-uh-EE-us.

Metal_Mouse, this talk of toe corns entered my silly brain, and I got an image of removing a sock to expose a row of ears of corn where the toes would be. I am dangerously silly sometimes.

The movie Musk will hit the streets soon. Its subject has threatened to sue, which will probably increase ticket sales. Celebrity bio-pics are not often box-office successes.

Rolling Stone has started sending me in-print issues again. When they were sending me online issues, I fell out of the habit of reading them. Now, I’m 2 and a half issues behind. Ah, so much to do!

(((((shoe)))))

Okay, time to go. Go thou, and be awesome! Yes, you!
