Just one of me (and a dog…I’m doing his harnesses / coats / leash with the towels) and I do 2-3 loads a week. Of course, I have to keep the loads small to accomodate my dryer.
I have, but my bathroom is too small for that. I really think that I’m able to do it now, I just want someone here the first time.

That sounds a bit like Nelson’s routine. Go outside, come back in, play fetch / tug-o-war, nap. Repeat twice more every day.
Towels are in the wash with 12 minutes left before going into the dryer. They’re the easy laundry day.
I’ve always free fed Nelson. When there’s homemade on hand, he gets a bowl of that in the morning. His kibble is reduced accordingly. He also gets treats, but within the vet recommended limits.
