(Old) Waking up to White Stuff in the MMP

Except most of the misadventures predate the drone - the firecrackers were 2 or 3 years ago. There aren’t a lot of kids in this neighborhood - at least I hardly ever see any apart from at the bus stop at our corner. In fact, at the height of COVID, I’d find a mask in our ditch every day - no doubt tossed by a kid who hated wearing it and our ditch was convenient. We also get cans and bottles, but I suspect those are from people driving by who are too lazy to throw them away properly since they range from water bottles to beer and booze. Some people are just pigs.

Good luck getting your husband to tend to his injuries. I’ve about given up here. The joys of a stubborn spouse, at least where his physical well-being is concerned.

Excuse me - haven’t you owned cats for years??? :stuck_out_tongue: Aren’t the words kitten and logic mutually exclusive??

I am clean, as are the bathrooms. I even dropped bleach pellet in the terlit tanks. I’m now going to remove all the 2X shirts from FCD’s closet since he never seems to have time. I expect there will be lots of space once I’m done. Then I’ll see about buying him a few new ones. He mostly just wears Carhartt Ts, but he really needs a few nicer shirts for non-grubby occasions. The one he wore last night was just shy of ridiculously baggy. I should also go thru my dresser and purge. One needs only so many “this will be good for grubby work” t-shirts. I think I’ve exceeded my limit. So back I go!!

32 years – and we haven’t killed each other yet!

When we first moved in, there was one in the backyard at three in the morning. Mrs Magill nearly called 911 because it sounded like someone being attacked.

FCM we’d bought our youngest a drone a couple of years ago. He tried to use the “Auto landing” feature. It turned out that was the “auto fly away and never be seen again while ignoring any other commands from the controller” feature. Hopefully, that the same featuure that was used on the one you’d found.

Last night, Mrs Magill told me she was having a bit of trouble accepting our situation. I told her that I have no idea what our situation really is, which is why I am starting counselling in two weeks. I think she’s just frustrated that while there are plenty of resources for people in my seat, there are almost none for people in her seat. Having been her cancer caregiver twice, I understand. All i could find was advice on how to take care of her, with the implication that if you’re ever tired or need a break, you are a horrible, selfish person. The only support group for partners she could find was in Australia. It didn’t help me that I had apparently not taken my bupropion yesterday morning, so I sent myself down a rabbit hole of self-loathing and destructive thoughts. Much better this morning.

The new level 2 charger arrived yesterday. I still need to wire it to the new wall cable. This cable, like the old cable is rated for 50 amps. My old charger should have been only drawing 40 amps. I have my doubts about the old cable’s rating.
Imgur
If you can’t tell from the photo, the insulation for the hot and neutral lines are melted through. I think I’ll set the new charger for 32 amps.

:tada: :bottle_with_popping_cork: YAY!!!

Maus - that melted wire is scary. We’ve come across similar things, even on the boat, and realizing how close it was to a fire, well, :open_mouth:

OMG is his closet empty!!! Along with the many many too big shirts, I found too big jammy pants, half a bag of socks that have never been worn, and a turtleneck from Land’s End that’s still in its packaging. And honest-to-goodness, I didn’t recognize more than half of the shirts. I’m sure they’re from his work days and I expect he’s worn most of them at least once, but someone shopping at the thrift store is going to get a mega-good deal. On the other hand, from my dresser, I found 2 tank tops that I won’t wear again, 2 t-shirts and a pair of shorts that were covered in paint, and half a dozen pairs of non-skid hospital socks. The tanks tops are going to thrift, the rest are trash.

FCD is home and I helped him haul some stuff to his shop and move a few things around so he can work. So lunch break, then I’ll figure out what else I can tend to, because I’m all productive and stuff today.

So today I was on 200 South, Top Yellow. The regular part of it wasn’t bad, but as usual, I had tires and they had the belt cut off, so I had to carry them down to the package car. On the way through the parking lot, I noticed a Prius with a bumper sticker on the back: Cool Prius - Nobody
I did my Senior Day shopping, and had a smoked salmon, harvarti and egg sandwich for breakfast. Now time for the pregame nap.

Italian Stripper Name!

When you hear a weird noise at night, make a weirder noise to assert dominance.

Spot regularly wrestles with floor mats. Because cat.

Looking at the pic, I might not even go that high.

:bottle_with_popping_cork: :shortcake: :partying_face:HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! :shortcake: :bottle_with_popping_cork:

50+ and sunny!

The new power cable is definitely a lower gauge, but an abundance of caution is needed.

Indeed, we fully expected to find them all cuddled up together on the loveseat like normal.

We might be using her again tonight, it will be paid this time. (She gets twenty bucks a feeding, but also has control over the thermostat, TV, music and access to high speed internet while she’s over, so she stays much longer than ten minutes a visit)

Hubs asked me to go get my adjustable cane out of my car for him again this morning. He’s been trying to convince us that he’s fine and will be better in a few days, but he hasn’t tried to get a shower yet. My day will involve waiting for him to get his head out of his butt and get in the car with me.

There were a couple of deer in the back this morning. Jolene is positive that her ancestors used to hunt and eat deer and thinks its unreasonable that I won’t let her out to do it again.

That bites! Do they have any idea how it happened, door glass is usually pretty strong stuff.

Now I’m hearing thumps in his room. Time to go and nag at him again.

the backup kindle is charged and synced. still no sign of the main kindle.

looks like a very disappointing rainy weekend coming up. where is my snow!!??

Just installed the portable bidet unit on the hall bath terlit. I foresee Roxy and Tobias playing water games. So I have that to look forward to. And yes, we have one in the master bathroom. Now our guests can hose off themselves, too!

:open_mouth:

I think after that, I’ve earned a break. Plus it’ll give the water a chance to drip if I didn’t tighten everything enough. Plumbing isn’t my strong suit, tho I did install a terlit in the first house I owned, so there’s that.

Um, yeah. Electricity can do bad stuff. Very bad stuff. Caution is good.

Anyway, I think I hear my recliner beckoning me…

I went in to work early, today was the all staff meeting, and I had to get the exhibits open prior to that, went to the meeting, then came home 'cuz I am fighting a cold.

Evenin’

Was freezing and foggy here today, a whole new level of gloom. Had to scrape ice off the car both in the morning and at 4pm when leaving irk. I have the fire lit; I’m gonna have to find a good source of wood, cos I’m getting low.

We’re avoiding the snowmageddon that’s predicted further south though. Looks like it’s hitting now from the weather radar, BooFae may be able to build an igloo by tomorrow by the looks of it… My small nieces should be excited at least.

Hi. Nice to see you all again.
I wish I could say I’m doing well, but I have some health issues.
Hope you’re all doing well.

Ms Peach has now decided this is the best place to hang out.

Good spot there. Able to look over the room and get to the window.

Howdy Y’all! We went to the hog trough GC, but decided against a ramble cause it was still foggy out. Nappage was accomplished instead. Then we day drank. We also watched some stoopid teevee and munched some popcorn. Thus it was in swampland today.

Herald happy anniversary!

VanGo feel better soonest. Looks like Ms. Peach has found an ideal perch.

MG glad you stopped by. Hope the health issues sort themselves out soonest.

And an early good evening to all. Trash bin is back in place and some calories sweated off and weights moved around, so treated myself to a second breakfast (pancakes, syrup, bacon and toast) and will have dinner sometime later tonight, maybe during the tackleball game. It’s 60F outside and shouldn’t cool down much, but rain is forecast to start 1-2am tonight and continue most of Friday and into Saturday. Firday shopping list is done, we’ll see if I can sneak out between the raindrops.

FCM, I use a toilet bowl cleaner with bleach, but never looked for tank pellets, may add that to my FIrday shopping list. I’ve cleaned out all my 2XL polo shirts for XL and need to do the same for my T-shirts during this year. And maybe someone could use those non-skid hospital socks? Conga-rats for the bidet installation, I am still thinking about getting one for my house.

Maus, I say that line fully failed…just glad more damage wasn’t done.

VanGo, feel better soon. And great pic of Ms. Peach finding here happy place.

MG!!, hope your health improves, we’ll all feel better when your doing better.

Swampy I am so happy the Golden Corral here is 30 minutes away or me keeping my weight under control would be a forlorn hope. Salad, Soup, Pot Roast with Rice and Gravy and Pecan Pie and a brownie…if I don’t go back for seconds..

Bet you’re tired…

JtC, hope Hubs removes skull from anal cavity soon and listens to you. And quite possibly Jolene’s ancestors did hunt and eat deer…about 40,000 years ago…

And 6:30pm and tackleball will start shortly and I want to get an e-mail out to all the soccer parents and players for this week’s games. Will try to check in before bedtime.

I have no clue what’s going on in her fuzzy head, either. I’m not sure she does.

It’s been decades since I raised a kitten. Felix, Allie, and Buddy were all adults when I met them.

Kasya rearranges the bathmat into a nest.

She looks worried about something. Also looks very huggable.

The wife and I treated ourselves to the annual lobster dinner menu at the Nicollet Island Inn this evening. Lobster crepe followed by lobster bisque with saffron rice, then a perfectly cooked tail, a bottle of Sauvignon and a desert to die for. Expensive, but worth it to us. We love that restaurant. Everything from the burgers to the fancy meals are done with care.

Up from naptime, and watching hocey. Drining a Sidecar and having Smoed Paprika Chicken, potato rounds with cheddar and Chili 900, and broccoli with [Bobby Flay]Calabrian chilies[/Bobby flay].

Hanging in there. {{{{MG}}}}

Not even in front of a window?

Yeah, but I’m hoping for a Goodyear.

A dart can wreck one(I know from personal experience)

ETA: There’s something stuck under the “k” on my eyboard.
