I realize I’m coming into this rather late, but: Esprix, stay loud and proud. The only way the world will become a safe and comfortable place for gay men and women is if we straights are constantly exposed to gayness, in all its aspects, from the utterly mundane to the earth-shattering. Your activism and willingness to share are helping to hasten the arrival of such a world (one hopes). That’s all. Just wanted to add a voice of support.

Flaming someone for being gay and flaming someone for being homophobic methinks are two different stripes. You’re not making much sense.
I couldn’t understand you, hence the thread asking what the fuck you were talking about. There’s no question about what I’m talking about, so that’s why I couldn’t understand the reason for this thread from the start.
Is it a requirement on the SDMB that every poster be objective?

I guess some jokes just don’t go well over the internet. The thing I was getting at was, not everyone who flames you is a homophobe, its just that they will mention the fact that your gay because you mention it so often. His flame was about being a one trick pony, not homosexual.
Just because someone is being negative about something and it has something to do with homosexuality it does not make them a homophobe.
