I fail to understand why N2K so completely loathes Esprix.
I don’t really know either of you, but I have always thought that Esprix would be a great deal of fun to pal around with IRL(and his being cute as a bug’s ear doesn’t hurt, although that’s neither here nor there :D).
N2K, I don’t understand how you can say you support dignity and recognition of rights for gays and yet refer to gay issues as being our “little cause.”
I also don’t see how you can call him a one-trick pony? I mean, Esprix is hot, so he must have had lots of…oh, different kind of trick, never mind :).
Kidding aside, are you going to call me a one-trick pony, too? I’ve posted on many gay-related threads and I’ve started one or two. Or is it simply that gay issues are important to us, so we are going to pay more attention to those threads? Anyhoo, time for everyone to run a bubble bath, pour a glass of chardonnay, and lie in the suds reading a good trashy paperback. I dream of a day when there is an end to the bashing of one trick homosexual ponies. Ponies of all walks of life should never feel that the tricks they might choose to perform in the privacy of their own stalls should bring down the harsh judgement of ponies that perform different tricks. In addition, all ponies should feel free to express pride in their trick performing abilities regardless of which tricks they find to be most entertaining.

This entire thread is ridiculous. “Gee, I wish Esprix would shut up about being gay. I hate that!” Well you know, I get sick of reading the same shit from the same people all the time too. When I open a thread, I know that:
a. Someone is going to flirt with a poster, who will flirt back, then have a little hijack, then officially announce the end of the hijack so we can actually address the issue at hand;
b. Someone is going to get irrationally pissed off and post thusly;
c. Someone is going to agree with the OP and then blather on about some off-topic story that doesn’t actually relate to the OP;
d. Someone is going to make some off-handed comment that does no more than pad their post count; and
e. Someone is going to call Coldfire “Clog Boy.”
And I could rattle off a list of posters who fit in each category. Ten posters, even, who flirt all the goddamn time or hijack threads or always get too pissed to actually think about the OP logically.
I would like to think that I post on a variety of issues, but I don’t really know and I don’t particularly care.
This is a forum for discussion, and every member is going to bring their own flavor to discussions. Esprix is witty, intelligent, and funny as hell. Anyone who thinks he only posts about being gay is turning a blind eye to his posts on a variety of other topics, almost all of which are insightful and entertaining. Of all the posters here I respect and admire, Esprix is high on the list.
Incidentally, I did a search of Neutron Star’s posts in the past five days. 15 threads came up, and 8 of them involved television or movies - the entertainment industry; one dealed with video games, which sort of relates.
I suspect that no one gets all that upset over this because it isn’t as obvious as homosexuality. As far as I’m concerned, Esprix can post whatever the hell he wants and you can NOT read it. Novel idea, I know.
Maybe this weekend while you are reading and posting, and you notice a post not relating to homosexuality that is smart, hilarious, insightful and good for a laugh, you can look at the poster. It might just be Esprix.

I think the problem is Esperix that whenever someone flames you they flame your most noticeable feature, which for you happens to be being gay, and you think they are homophobes. However you don’t mind flaming people for other stuff thats just as stupid as being homophobic, which is the actual problem.
I remember when you made a flame thread for me(though you had to actually tell me about it as I didn’t visit the pit at that time.) About my posting style, now as it was a while ago I remember it being something about 1 word responses that nobody could understand. It wasen’t paticurally flame filled but you can’t call him out on making a pit thread about your posting style and not be hypocritical. Even when im partisanly ranting and raving I still feel more objective than you(and a few other democrats:))
Also people support you because your a “intelligent…etc” poster most of the time even when your wrong. Which is like athiests sniping at religion in a evolution thread or something. So I blame you for other peoples actions.
