My grandmother’s roll out iced sugar cookies.
I could eat those forever.

Pepperidge Farm Sausalito Milk Chocolate Macadamia Nut (microwaved for just a few seconds to make them warm and chewy)
There was never a name put to them when mom made em and the ones my sister makes that are pretty close. Oatmeal made with a little molasses for softness and the magic ingredient, spiced gumdrops chopped into chunks about half the size of a raisin mixed in before baking. Hands down best cookies I ever dunked into a cup of ice cold milk. I’d miss others but could most definitely live with just those.
The best store bought butter cookie I’ve found.
Chocolate Chip, almost raw in the center, barely crispy on the outside, still warm from the oven.
I can’t believe I even thought about this: as soon as I imagined going without chocolate chip cookies, the decision was made.
The decision to bake some tomorrow, that is. Also to have them forever.
Almond shortbread. An ancient family recipe. Nowadays we use corn starch instead of barmbrack to soak up the oil, and we usually serve it with blackberry jam and uachtar citris (Sour cream mixed with lemon curd*.)
*This is much, much better than it sounds, I promise.
It sounds phenomenal.
Tollhouse chocolate chip.
I’ll say those, except the wafer square ones more than the peanut shaped ones.
Home-made peanut butter cookies.
Shortbread is a close second.
Molasses
White chocolate & macadamia. No contest.
I’m a cookie fean.
If had just had to pick a general class of cookie as my favorite. It would be peanut butter. But “for the rest of my life”, it would have to be the crispy kind that are borderline-burnt on the bottom, rather than the chewy kind.
If I could go with a very specific cookie, it would be the snickerdoodle cookie that a food truck sells down the street from where I work.
Fresh Market sells a peanut butter and chocolate cookie that is quite yummy, but I couldn’t eat it every day. It’s way too rich and I think I’d get tired of it.
I’m a fan of McDonald’s chocolate chip cookies. Out of all the popular cookies, chocolate chip are my least favorite, but these are awesome.
My childhood favorite are the butter cookies they served us at the school cafeteria. I once found a recipe for them and was pleased with the results. But boy, did they call for a ton of butter!
Speculaas.
I love snickerdoodles, but for the rest of my life? Some kind of buttery plain sugar cookie good on its own, that could be dressed up or down, for a little change. Dip in chocolate, frost with sprinkles, frost and add a dash of cinnamon, add some nuts or chocolate chips to the recipe, and so on… I suppose that’s cheating, so chocolate chip it is.
McDonald’s sugar cookies
I’ll have what he’s having.
By the bye, since people are discussing cookie sources as well as types, I’ll nominate Subway as one of the contenders. They have surprisingly good cookies.
I shouldn’t read threads like this before I go to the store.
This was my first thought as well.
Did you get to try the limited edition Ginger Oreos ? Them was some damn good cookies.
