I suggest sushi, since that’s what I’m having tonight.
Sticky, getting into the Christmas Spirit early this year?

I am havin’ waaaaaay to much fun over the death of June Cleaver. I repeat, if you read the spoiler it’s on your head not mine!
Well, no uninterrupted night of slumber, alas. Still some coughing, tho not nearly as bad as it had been. I could have done without waking at midnight and again at 2. Oh well, another day in paradise.
I’m going with daughter and her psycho pug to “Puppy Play Time” at Petco today at 1130. It could be interesting. Other than that, no major plans. I’ve thawed a chickie for the rotiss today, so dinner is planned.
The new aquarium critters settled right in. There are 2 small clownfish that immediately adopted the big anemone. Two of the 3 cleaner shrimps have started tending to the other fish in the tank - it’s pretty cool! And the crab thing that’s going into daughter’s classroom tank is really neat looking - all leg and no body! I don’t want him to go!!
And that’s all the news from FairyChatEstates. Because I care.
TVMan and I had fun last night! We went to see some retired local television celebrities, Big Chuck and Li’l John, at the Packard Museum where they hosted the movie Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein. It was some kind of fundraiser, not sure what for but everyone there (over 300 people) enjoyed it so much that they’re going to make it an annual event.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here in swampland. Need to get movin’ soon and purtify for deheathenization. Tummy is also demandin’ sustenance.
Sorry you’re still feelin’ bad MOOOOOOM Puppy Playtime sounds, ummm, interestin’.
Ok da bear needs some more caffiene, foodstuff for rumbly tummy and purtification. Plus gotta get a certain somebody out of bed.
Later Y’all!
Feeling adventurous, I just ordered a pound of Prague Powder #1, an essential ingredient for doing home-pickled corned beef. Now, I have to find a crock…
Hmmmmm, we’re quiet today.
Corned beef sounds good, Bobbio.
I went out to watch the front end of the marathon. I live near the stretch that runs from miles 21-23, so I walked back and forth a couple of times, then came home. Someone along the way was handing out little cowbells, so I could make lots of noise as people were running by.
Am going to take a nap because I’ve got the beginnings of a sore throat and I’m sleepy… There was more, but…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Up, purtified and drinking coffee. So far a good Sunday.
Went to the movies last night and saw RED - not the greatest movie in the world but a good giggle it was. We also had dinner out at a new (to us) local restaurent and it was great! We will be going back.
Today will be a day of not much. Got to run to Best Buy later to pick up an internet order later and that is about it. Dinner will be turkey meatballs.
The last two days came straight from hell and can go back there. More details later.
In other news, I figured the enlightened minds among us would enjoy a funny comic.
Sorry you’re having a crappy time, Spaz. I liked Anxiety Girl better.
We’re heading out to lunch at Perkins shortly because we have a coupon! Woo hoo! We really know how to live it up!
As the weekend winds down, I think I’m pretty much over my sick. Just a little coughing and sniffling, but nothing significant. Daughter is grading tests and is majorly pissed at her 3rd period class - the ones who won’t do homework. Pretty much the whole class failed and, as she put it, it’s not even her special ed class!! Too bad flogging is not permitted.
Big changes in the fish tank. All three big predators have died - near as we can figure, they got an infection and it was too far along by the time we created the hospital tank. On the other hand, we’ve decided to avoid predators in the future.
New tank denizens include a pair of saddleback clownfish that immediately adopted the big anemone, so yay for that. We’ve also got 3 Scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp that will feed on parasites that attach to the other fish. There’s also an arrow crab that was supposed to go to daughter’s classroom tank, but he doesn’t want to be removed, so we’ll have to get her another one. With the predators gone, the tank is a lot more interesting. We hope to add starfish again, too.
I’m almost done with my first afghan - it’s gone a lot faster than I’d expected. So yay for that. I guess my sick was good for something.
Back to work tomorrow. Thus endeth my long, mostly unpleasant weekend.
Sorry for your crappy weekend, Spaz. Hope things are better soon.
New sea creatures sound cool,** FCM**.
I’ve spent the afternoon on the couch, watching movies, knitting and trying not to have a sore throat. Am thinking about going to Giant Eagle for limes and maybe some chicken for dinner.
Back later.

Brief summary of Saturday:
Culinary Boy was attacked leaving the neighborhood bar at 1:30 in the morning. When I woke up enough to realize how badly he was hurt, I took him to the local hospital ER and then to the VA ER when the local hospital proved lousy. His lip was split wide open and two of his teeth were broken and one knocked out. He’s all stitched up now and we’re going by the dental urgent care tomorrow to see what can be done about his teeth. He filed a police report today and the forensics photographer came by after to take pictures of the damage. The police said if they catch the guy who attacked him they can charge him/her/it with felonious assault because they knocked him down from behind. Coward.
His stitches are oozing pus but they’re itchy so I guess that means it’s healing? He’s on penicillin and painkillers and he’s been putting the antibiotic ointment on his stitches that the doctor gave him.
Me, I’m tired. I was up almost 24 hours straight yesterday and I had to work four hours because we were getting slammed at work. This is after I had to take Friday off because I was a nervous wreck due to said slamming.
OMG, Spaz, healing thoughts and prayers being sent out to CulinaryBoy! Good that he filed a police report.
Glad to hear you’re feeling some better, FCM; sorry about your fish tank denizen losses, but hopefully the new plan will work better for no predators.
Comcast had up a list of the “best years for movies” - what a joke! it was the years when movies had the most ticket sales.
Does that make any sense?! Shouldn’t it be the years that had really great films released? Wouldn’t that be “best years for movies,” you’d think? It should include 1939, which saw the release of a huge number of great films (Gone with the Wind, Wizard of Oz just to name two!), yet the earliest year on this list was 1998, I think. Geeze!
Ah well, the new week starts tomorrow; enjoy the end of the weekend, all. Should hear something on the sleep apnea study this week, btw.
Ah yes, here we go again. I came home just in time to see my father for a few minutes and now that he’s gone my mother is sitting on the couch crying. And as usual it appears to be because she put her foot in her mouth and he got pissy about it. Good times.
Sorry about Culinary Boy, Spaz…
Healing thoughts and prayers for CulinaryBoy Spaz!
I have done, well next to nuttin’ all day. I should have started cleanin’ on da cave but didn’t want to so I didn’t. We made the mistake of goin’ to MickeyD’s and gettin’ burgers and fries. Tummy has semi-rebelled. Thus I have been lyin’ around feelin’ all blurfy.
One bit of news today. This mornin’ at church YP announced that YPWife is preggers. There will be a YPLet around May.
Ouch Spaz take care of him and I hope they catch the bastard!.
House is spiffy clean - dusted, cleaned kitchen, mopped floors and wiped down bathroom sinks. I will vacuum tomorrow as I am tahred now. Supper is in the oven - home made turkey meatballs and home made marinara sauce. Yum.
Then there will be much sloth tonight catching up on DVR TV!
ETA - Congrats to YP…babies are good news. Everyone around me is having babies at the moment. 5 friends have given birth in the last 6 weeks.
That’s horrible, Spaz. Healing thoughts headed out to CulinaryBoy.
Mmmmmm, that sounds yummy, mmmmmmmm. (That looks silly, doesn’t it?)
Hope your tummy is better in the morning, swampy. And yay for babies!
You’re getting us started tomorrow, right, Sticky?
I’ve had garlic bread with cheese and some chicken tenders and some hot limeade with honey. Gonna crawl into bed and hope to fall asleep soon. I’m pretty sure a good night’s sleep would really help.
See everyone in the next MMP.
Hugs.
GT
Yes, after I’m finished with some work tonight I’ll start working on the next MMP.
Good thoughts headed out to **Culinary Boy **and you, Spaz.
I am not looking forward to tomorrow at all. I have something very unpleasant happening tomorrow and I’ve been worried sick about it since Thursday.
It’s nothing medical, just some really unpleasant work stuff going on. But, I’ve got my ducks in a row, so I’m hoping my ass is covered. On the other hand, I’m so desperate to get out that hell hole that I’m looking for a lateral. I might have a lead on one, but will check into that Tuesday.
