OP Ideas for the MMP

I’m awake and starving! And I’ve got a lunch today, bbq chicken and sloppy joes… Yum!

Goood Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’.

StickyBuns bbq chikin, yum! Sloppy joes, ick!

doggiogood idea there. Perhaps if we drank especially before Vestry meetin’s they’d be more interestin’. For sure they’d be a lot more entertainin’.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk. Canes Corner tonight.

My sloppy joes are awesome! (And I don’t generally like sloppy joes either.)

Blurf…

Ditto, Rebo.

Last night on the way to the fahr department meeting, I spotted a bear (N. O. S.) walking on the shoulder of the road; the first live wild bear I’ve seen. Cottonfield County has a lot of them, too. They raid my trash often enough…

Thanks. I appreciate the support, and it’s great that I can come here and vent.

You may be happy, but I’ve got disappointed coworkers and neighbors this morning. And over the weekend when the Twins lost. And last week after your Canes beat the Wild over in Finland. Minnesota sports aren’t looking so good right now.

Nooner, do you need more shoes?

FWIW, I approve…

Brains? Around WVU on a Saturday night? Let’s just say all us zombies go hungry. I usually do my zamish thing there; they get it.

(And I keep hoping that old chick comes back to do9 another set. )

Not these guys… Dudes be whack. Sometimes, it’s a good idea to keep some people out of your camp, if you want any kind of respectability for your views…

And it looks like a cheap-ass, ready-to-be-thrown-out-anyway shoe, to boot. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi, everyone! I hate to be one of those “I got really busy and couldn’t keep up with the thread(s) and now I have no idea what’s going on with everyone but here’s what’s going on with me” types, but I seem to have no choice at the moment… :frowning:

Last week wasn’t quite hell, but something like it. Work was extremely busy, and there seemed to be stuff going on every night of the week: one night I was sick and went to bed early, another night I had a voice lesson, another night I had my jazz workshop, etc. The whole week I was fighting whatever sent me to bed early that one night, and I felt kind of tired and blah.

The weekend was much better, though: Friday night I gave a CD to a bar manager in hopes that I might get my first jazz gig (fingers crossed!), Saturday I had lunch with my mom and two old friends of the family, Sunday I went to the MD Renaissance Festival with a bunch of great friends, yesterday I went out to lunch with a subset of the aforementioned great friends, and after lunch I got a haircut (first one in almost two years) – and I actually like the new style.

This is my last week at my current job/with my current employer. We just found out that we have to turn in our badges at 2pm on Friday…I guess I’ll be starting the weekend early! It feels weird to be in the final days here, but I’m looking forward to my new job starting on Monday.

So…what’s new with you guys?

Hey, Missy! Missed you!

Up, at irk, totally non-caffeinated as usual. I think I’m having problems with sugar, as drinking caffeine-free Coke is making me feel weird. So it’s water, juice and milk. And coffee with Stevia.

We’re looking forward to the State Fair this weekend. Had a really bad night last night. Kids went in to clean MIL’s room. (I pay them for this.) MIL decided to give our son a book. Hubby said he couldn’t read it. (Harlequin romance: AKA Lusty Wench Book. He’s a 12 year old boy.) She then told our daughter to sneak it in his room. All Hell broke loose.

Thankfully, they got it sorted out. I had a long talk with our son, who was very upset.

Yeah, well…um…see, it’s like this. There was no school yesterday, thus no work. Thus, I was not in the “It’s Monday” mindset, which is why I was all  when I saw the MMP on page two already.

Cuz it’s TUESDAY!!! Except it’s Monday to me, or more like Wednesday, since I plan to take Friday off.

Happy Humpday to me!

db - take a few shots as is, then throw some more stuff around, take more pics and call those the “before” shots.

I read the entire thread, but retained very little. My thoughts are with Mr. Ominous, not that the Universe cares much what I think, but you have my sympathy and best wishes.

As for what’s under my car seats, I ain’t looking under there and you can’t make me! :stuck_out_tongue: .

And I’m home. Yay!

**Missy **- my daughter was at the RenFaire- did you see her?? She said it took them half an hour just to get out of the parking lot - guess it was crowded.

Sketties for supper. That’s all I’ve got. Maybe more later…

As part of the Universe, we thank you.

I originally read Skittles for supper!

The past month or so at work has been relatively busy, with the big crush last week when everything was due, and I’d forgotten how slow time goes by when I’m bored! I’ll be helping with some proposal stuff tomorrow, and I’ll get debriefed (can I get a “snerk”?) on Thursday afternoon, but otherwise I have nothing to do until 2pm on Friday when we all turn in our badges. I guess I won’t complain, because I’m sure I’ll have to jump right in at the new job on Monday…

Aww, thanks.

I did a little catching up: fingers crossed/good thoughts for your hubby, and a “hang in there” for you!

We got there 15 minutes before the gates opened, and left about four hours later: no trouble getting in or out. The friends who arrived 10 minutes after us had to wait a good 10-15 minutes to park, though. We all agreed that getting up early on a Sunday sucked (we had to be at our friends’ house by 8:30 so that we could arrive by 9:45), but that it was definitely worth it to be at the festival when it wasn’t very crowded (or hot) yet.
